208-333-2230 Boise, ID  calls everyday, in the morning and then again in the afternoon.  Our answering machine picks up and the party hangs up without saying anything.

My number is on the do not call registry so I reported a complaint.  This is a cell phone and there is a charge for incoming calls.  How can we stop unwanted (probably marketing) calls like this?

This is an automated call system.  They should be illegal.  What they do is randomly call your phone repeatedly throughout the month, at some point, someone answers - but they're not calling to talk to you, this machine is only calling to see when someone's home to pick up the phone.  Once you pick up, and it is determined that you are a human, and not an answering machine, the time is logged into their system that this is the time to call you.  See, a human says "Hello?...{pause}" but a voicemail says "blah blah blah blah blah blah...".
So now the question is, why are they calling you?  And the answer is, because they purchased a batch of bad-pay accounts from Verizon and other companies for pennies on the dollar.  This would all be fine, except that most of the time these bad-pays have moved or provided bad phone numbers to begin with.  This means innocent people are constantly bothered by repeated phone calls, and can't do a thing about it because the a**hole who came up with this idea didn't provide any way for you to tell them they have the wrong number.

Its pretty damn annoying.

So what are you, the citizen, going to do about it?  Nothing.  Because 50% of you are tards that allowed the Republicans to deregulate everything.  50% vote against your own best interests because you believe what they say to you instead of paying attention to their real actions.  When's the last time you looked up your Congressman's voting record to see if he's on your side or not on PAPER??  Did he vote for the things you wanted?  No.  You're a lazy American.  You never do any research for yourself.  If its not on the tube or a front page headline you don't even know it exists.

So this is one of the things you get.

One of the few things you even notice.  Did you notice that the billions of dollars given to the banks went to the execs and into offshore personal accounts for a few hundred connected people?  No.

Call will not stop folks. Only solution is to go online to your Sates atty general website and download a do not call complaint form. Take time to fill it out and mail it in to your atty general. They will investigate and help you shut the lid on these scum bags. Takes less than thirty mins to do. THIS IS will work. National donotcall list is a joke. That website for filing complaints is only to passify you.
have fun.

I got a call on 2/23/09 and another on 2/24/09.  In both cases they asked for Patty - my girlfriend.  She got on the line for the first one and all she could comprehend was "Feature Film for Families".  When asked where he got this number he hung up.   This is a cell phone on the do not call registry so I entered a complaint.  Any ideas of what else can be done to stop this?

Give rep your home number and/or cell number.
Then my information was removed from their list.
I received my calls on my cell but my home number was listed.
I did not understand because my home calls are not transfered to my cell.

I called the 1-800-326-4598 and talked to some one from Feature Films for Families and told them that a VERY rude man was calling asking for someone else in my household and hung up on me when I told them that he was not available and didn't give this number as a contact number for anyone.
The lady on the phone supposedly marked my number as disconnected and said she would let her supervisor know about that man. (We'll see)

This call is coming to my cell phone as a data transfer call.  I do not answer those calls.  By reading another comment, Family Films did call me from area code 917 months ago.  I told the caller I do not want to be recontacted.  What is the next step to discontinue these unwanted calls?

Its Feature Family Films. They were calling my number twice a day for weeks from a 917 area code. Now they are calling from the 208 area code. I never answered the call from the 917 area code knowing it was a telemarketer (they were calling my cell phone). I answered from the 208 as it is an Idaho area code which is where my sister is from. They are now calling between 8 - 8:30 p.m.

I just got a call from 208-333-2230.  When the person said, "Hello?", I asked, "Who is this?  I tried to call you back last night and was told the number was disconnected."  He stated he couldn't hear me and hung up.

Warning - if you're getting a call from this one, you will probably also get a call from 616-980-2331 or 917-210-4609.  They are all Feature Films for Families.  I have gotten three phone calls a day from monday until today.  I called 616 number back on tuesday, but still can't get them to stop.

Received phone call from this number 208-333-2230 didn't answer and like everyone else said they did not leave a message. What's the point of being on the do not call list if numbers that you don't recognize keeps getting through.
Had a call from Texas last night...# is 512-795-7888 don't have a clue the caller I.D. says fro that number Dun Bradstreet
