please have these people sop calling

Just got another call from these guys.  I called back and got a computer-generated voice stating, "please try again later."  After reading the many entries in here, I believe it is similar to what others have experienced.  I wish they would be required to either leave a message, answer their return phone calls, or just quit calling.  Frustrating !

prank call from 208 350-2073 claimed to be with the State's organization - ARK..., with following request: "bundle clothing and leave on front porch at 7:00 AM...., no one came to pick up clothing.  Others in area have also received calls from this number with no follow up.

Answered the phone no one would talk. Called the # back shortly after and it rang 2 times and then a automated voice said, "call back later."

Is this number ever going to be reported and blocked from calling paople? I am getting tired of the phone calls!

They are a charitable organization that wants clothing donations. If you answer and get someone they will say they are going to have a truck in your area and do you have any clothing you would like to donate. If you do they have the driver call you the night before to remind you to put the clothing in a box or bag with arc (ark?) printed on it at your front door by 7am the next morning. Then they leave one of those tax donation tags on your door like you get when you donate to the Good Will. I think they have something to do with the disabled. The only problem I have with them is about a month after I donate they start calling again. ( I think its ARK it might be ARC, think I threw away the tag)

I am at my wit's end. Every single day I get three or four calls from (208) 350-2073. All it says is that it's a Boise, Idaho, number. But when I pick up nobody answers, when I'm not home nobody leaves a message, and when I call back the phone appears to pick up my call but nobody answers. PLEASE, SOMEBODY, help me STOP these phone calls!!!!

calls and leaves message. uses your personal name as a call back name. scary.

It's from ARK.  That is a charitable organization.

Calls from 350-2073 "may" be from a charitable organization that sends a truck into various neighborhoods to pick up clothing/donations "if" someone is in the area. They usually call 1st.  This info may not be correct.

They call at least 2 times a day. I am very sick of if. When I answer it no one is there. Are they not part of the no call list folks??

Its a call from the ARK in boise looking for clothing donations, just answer and donate or ask to be removed off the list.

I have recieved five or more calls since the 19th of December.  I only answered once and got that recording.  I did not write the phone number down in time so I did not call back.  My situation is very similar to the ones above!

Got two calls from this # today, didn't answer the first time as the number comes up as restricted on caller ID. Second time, I just hung up on them. I did a reverse search and the number is located in Boise, Ada County. Tried calling the number back and got same message to "call back later".

They called twice today, with a recording to call for a pickup.  When we called back no one would talk.

They have called here twice.  The second time the wife answered and the party said they were going to have a truck in the area and would we like to leave out some clothing.

I keep calls from this number and it just hangs up when I answer. Try to call back and it just says "call again later." It is really ticking me off!!!!

Called and hung up. 208 350 2073. I called the number back and got a creppy stephen hawking type voice that said "call again later".  wtf?

Ha-Ha!  They called my phone today - 9/8/2009 - but I've put the SIT tone at the beginning of my answering machine message - after my message played, there was a brief period of silence, and then a disconnect.  The SIT tones will usually send telemarketers and charities packing - Those are the tones the Phone Companies play when you reach a disconnected number.  The automated dialers recognize those tones as a disconnected number and remove your number from their files.  You can get a mess of those messages at http://payphone-directory.org/sounds.html - I down loaded and then opened one with "snd recorder" (C:\WINDOWS\system32\sndrec32.exe) and edited it to put on my answering machine.  My machine picks up and you hear the tones, followed by the familiar (in my voice) "The number you have reached - [insert your number here, imitate the way the phone company people say it] is not attended or does not recognize your caller ID.  Please wait for the tone and leave a message." - - Family and friends know that you'll pickup when you recognize their number, or they'll leave a message if you're not home - but autodialers will remove your number from their data base.
