So glad i read this post. this same number started texting me about my ad on craigslist. Said his name was Harris Pickard. I can't believe i gave him my name and address already. wasn't obvious he was scamming me until his grammer started to fail in his texts as i probed him for more information. also, his story kept changing. he said he sent me a cashier's check in the mail.Then he told me he wrote an incorrect money amount and he needed a refund. then he said the movers would hand me the check when they got here to pick up the items i was advertising. I have my phone on me right now and am about to tell him to go crawl in a hole and die, but i would like to know if there is any way i can report this guy to the proper authorities as well. Does anyone know?

The same exact thing happened to me.

Thank goodness we looked up this number...They contacted us and said do to work load would not be able to see item, but would send a cashier check for the full amount we asked for.  Then after the check cleared would arrange to pick up item...seemed fishy to me... the first text asked if we were firm, we said no then they said would pay full amount...

I also received a call from this number. But before that, I was texting a guy named Daniel Sanchez. He called texted me from this number 251-268-9130.

Thanks for posting this. Craigslist & Kijiji are NOT eBay. Not what they were set up for, which is local, person-to-person sales. Cash & carry! Which is what I wish people would put in their ads. "No text, by phone, or in person - bring cash".

Received a text from this number 208-352-3422 about a listing in Craigslist (I had listed a girls bedroom suite) saying that she wanted more pictures of the items.  When I asked what other shots would she like for me to take the person then goes on to indicate that she would like to purchase it via check and needed me name, address, etc and that movers would come to my house to pick it up.  I told the person, cash only.  THEN I get an email from "emily anderson" pretty much saying the same thing, but saying she wanted to pay via certified check. I asked for her to call me so that we could talk. No call, just another email from "destiny" saying the same thing. That's when I got suspicious and checked out the number on google and found other incidents here. Be firm about CASH ONLY on craigslist and never give out your information unless you talk to the buyer over the phone.

Got a text from 2083523422, asking "Is this item still for sale", about a craigslist ad I had posted with several saddles for sale. I replied, asking what item the caller was referring to, they replied as follows, "Okay, I'm more concerned about the condition since I'm not local (Idaho). I hope the condition of the item is as you have stated and is exactly as shown in the pic and what is your last offer." Obviously a scammer, watch out for this number!
