Was called on a Friday pm from an Indian sounding voice claiming to help me get my tax rebate early in $500/mo chunks.   Sounded like a scam, so I ended the call.

Three calls in one day (February 25, 2008). They hung up immediately when I said Hello.

called 02-25-08- Claiming to represent Yellow Book for updated information confirmation.  Strong indian accent, repeated their needs several times, had a very bad automated confirmation recording.  I couldn't understand most of what  was said.  The 'supervisor' had to tell me what the recording said.  When they kept asking for an alternate number I ended the conversation.

We received a call from this number and it comes up on caller I.D. as private party. My wife answered and could not understand the person and gave the phone to me. It was a person with a strong Indian accent who said his name was Henry. I asked him what he needed and he said he wanted my wife. I told him he needed to tell me what he wanted. He said I want your wifes a--. Then he went on to say is not you wife afraid to be alone. I ended the call and called the police. Later in the evening I dialed this number on my cell phone and get a non working number recording. This is probably an off shore number and if the person doesn't  get to speak to the wife he makes his comments and threats. TO bad you can't block these type of most likely off shore calls.

I recived a call several times from this number, I did not answer for a while because I did not recognize it. Finally I had enough and answered the call. It was a mail voice that was really hard to understand. He told me he was calling from a governmet agency in Washington DC. and the government wanted to issue me $2500 dollars for paying my government bills ontime. He proceeded to ask for my bank account number, saying they electronically transfer the funds to the account. I was suspious so I asked where he was calling from again. He said Washington DC. Thats when I asked then why is it a Idaho area code 208, I know because I live in Idaho. Then he said its not a Idaho area code. Total scam!!! So I hung up.

I received a call from this number the evening of 21 May 08. He spoke with a strong Indian accent. He said he was with "American Shopping Center" and that I had won some prizes. I asked again who he was with, he told me and said "can't you hear?” I told him I wanted the company information so I could report them because I am on a do not call list. He asked, "Who the hell told you that?" I told him I did because I put my number on the list. He became belligerent and told me I was not on a list and that he was an Attorney General. I asked where he was located and he told me that he was in New York at the top of the Statue of liberty. I said he was not in New York, he ask who told me that and became more belligerent. He finally told me he was from Afghanistan. I made a derogatory comment and hung up. A few minutes later, he called back yelling, cussing and making threats. I made another derogatory comment and hung up again. I have reported the call to the police and phone company. The number came up in a reverse directory as an AT&T land line.

I informed the caller that I was on a do not call list and that I was going to report them. The caller got beligerant and asked "who the hell told me that and that I was not on a do not call list". They finally told me that they were from New York on top of the Statue of Liberty.I stated that they were not and and they became more beligerant. They finally told me they were from Afganistan, I made a derogatory comment to them and hung up. A few minutes later they called back yelling threats and profanity. I made another comment and hung up again.
