Rude caller trying to sell mortgages. Rported the number to the Do NOt Call List

Received a call today; no message left.

calls and no one on the line??????

I received phone calls from this number a couple of times a day.  No one answers when i pick up the phone.  Who is this?

I've been getting calls from this number they hang up after I say hello a few times, or if goes to voice no message is left. I live in Canada and don't know anyone from Idaho lol wtf?!

I have been getting calls from these people nemerous times a day.  I called it back and it said it was a customer service department but did not say for whom.  I live in Ontario Canada and don't even know how they got my num,ber.

male called asking to speak to my mom about the mortgage on her home.  Pressing to get info on how much was owed on the house.  Mom hung up on them.  Be aware!

Answering machine picked up...and all I heard was someone saying "Hello?...Hello?"  Kinda funny now that I read the other comments!

I too am in Ontario Canada...so perhaps early September is our turn to get called for who-knows-what.

These people keep calling and calling. THey are rude, never leave a message or will call and not speak!

On 9/8/08, I was able to leave a message upon calling this number back. I informed them to stop calling my number, or I would take legal actions, and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.

called twice in 2 hours 208 650 4253-first one dropped out of memory...without me deleting it...

This number has been calling non stop...same story as many others here. Well, today when I answered they asked to speak to (my daughter's name). I asked them what business they had with her and they said they needed to speak to her. Well, the thing is...our daughter is FOUR years old! So, one, how did they get our number which is non listed and we are on the do not call list...and two...how in the hell did they get the name of our four year old daughter?!?! I lit into them and then was hung up on. I have called our phone company, plus I have read many posts here and am happy some have done research on perhaps whom to report to and other people to call regarding this. Calling and asking for a minor child, let alone a four year old is where I draw the line! Crap like this has to stop.

I'm in Canada and received a call from this number. I don't answer my phone "Hello", but "Good morning"/"Good afternoon" and that often throws off the computer callers. In this case there was a pause and a heavily accented voice said "May I speak to the homeowner?" I replied, "no owner, this is an apartment, who may I say is calling" and the guy muttered something unintelligable and hung up. The area code is for Idaho.

Keeps calling me. 6 times so far this week. When I called the number back, a recording saying "customer center is unavailable to take your call, please record your message." Very annoying!

when i said i was on the no call list he said it did not matter as i applied for their services. i asked for his name and number and he gave me Romy at 410-760-2929 (he had to look for the number). I asked him if he understood that I was on the no call list and if he called me again i would report him to the FCC. we shall see.

I have been getting multiple calls every day for about a week now from this number.

I made the mistake and picked up the phone.  At first, I thought they were a legit company, but then they started asking personal questions about my financial situation.  I had to be quite abrupt with them to tell them I had no interest in what they were trying to sell.  Then I looked up the phone number and found this site.  I called back to get the company name and they tried selling their "so-called" lower mortgage interest rate to me again.  

My advice is not to give these people any information about you.  I don't believe they can be trusted.  I just looked up the name of the company on the internet, but nothing came up on them.

Have been receiving numerous calls from this number and experienced the same as all others reported. They leave no messages, no one responds when phone is answered and when I dialed back to this number it was a busy signal.  Would really like to know who/what is related to this number and that appropriate action is taken.

I live in Canada and I received calls from this number a couple of times now. A reverse search does show a number from Idaho, and he did have a slight Indian accent. The first time he called I asked the caller some information about their company. He said it was "Canada Financial Services", he also said the parent company was "Northwood Mortgage". I said I would need to do some research before providing any information. I couldn't find anything about "Canada Financial Services", but I did find out about Northwood. It seems that Northwood is a legitimate mortgage broker and they are piloting an off-shore call centre, located in India. My guess is that Northwood is not the only company using this call centre, and the call centre is using a number in Idaho to redirect the calls through. What the call centre is trying to do is ask a few questions to qualify you as a potential client, then connect you with a mortgage broker. I don't believe this would be the best approach to find new clients, especially when most people have no idea who is calling!

Just got the call with the guy claiming to be from Canada Financial Services. I asked for the head office number so that I can add them to the do not call registry when it starts in Canada at the end of the month and he refused to give me that information! I called him a bulls*it artist and hung up. Obviously there is no Canada Financial Services on Google. I wonder if our do not call registry will be able to stop these scam artists?

I got a call, and they seemed to know about where I lived. A man with a mild indian accent called and said that he was from Canada Financial Something or other, and that he wanted to know when they could collect the mortgage for the month. He knew my house number! I'm creeped out. Wtf. I *69 the number after the call ended.

He spoke really fast, so I repeated what he said which seemed to irk him. ...I also asked him to speak clearly and slowly...which also seemed to piss him off.

"When can I pick-up the mortgage for the house ####?" (which was my house number 0.0)

I was about to tell him that I have a landlord and I don't pay the mortgage on the house...which I think it paid off already...So I said, "I don't know."

His response, "You don't know? Well fine. *click*"


WTF?!?! This is stupid. *rolls eyes* Idiot.

Calls repeatedly, but hangs up if I answer.

they call my # all the time too and won't talk to the answer machine.

The number 208-650-4253 calls and no answer. you hear a hang up before you can say anything.  I *69'd the number to get it and called it back and I got a message like this: "Thank you for calling Customer Care. We are unable to take your call at the moment. So, if you would leave your name and number we will call you back shortly..."  This also was with an Indian accent, so whatever company it is, is farming out their customer service to India.  Always evening hangups during dinner.  It's gotten to the point that I don't answer during dinner because anyone important to me will not be calling then unless it's an emergency!

Someone is calling me everyday from this number and just hold the phone when I answer, but a man asked for me when my husband answered.
