got an emal and text wanting to know if I still have my item for sale and if I had a Paypal account....Leary and typed in number found this.....SCAMMER 208-779-0281.....told them they will have to call me

I received a message from this number on what I was selling, only said the name is Clark. Wanted my PayPal name so they could purchase. Yeah, right. Didn't give to them, I needed more info and haven't heard back.

I just had the same experience.  I wish I knew you to report this number to police.

Contact Paypal.  Get him locked out of the account. They might have to give you a new account number.  

Its the Overpayment scam.  He pays you more than your asking price, with you passing some of the money along to a shipping firm he has chosen.  You get a notice that the payment is in your Paypal account.   You wire the shipping fee to the shipping company.  That payment clears instantly.

When you check your PayPal account you discover his money isn't there.  The notice you got earlier was fake, generated by your scamming buyer.  That buyer vanishes, you can't track him down.  The shipping firm is also fake and also vanishes.  The buyer and his partner, the shipping firm, split the shipping fee you sent.

I received a text from this person too about something I was selling on CL and stupidly gave him my paypal email address! Does anyone know what the scam is? Can he/she do anything with my paypal address? Damn, I feel stupid. I had a bad feeling but really needed the money.

This person is a scam artist I almost got caught up but was able to look this number up and realize that the questions were coming over and over again which means they are sending information to multiple people and cant get things straight. Almost got caught please be careful and beware.

I got a CL message with this number on it also. I will not respond to it.  Poor grammer and other fishy things about it.

My message was for my Arp synth. I right mouse click the message and read the text and find the addresses where it came from or what it has in it and block it!

Most ask so you reply. DONT!
That's what they want!

right mouse click and search where it is going or where or what is in the message for anything you dont trust.
I then highlight it and block it!
It can be anything but is most out-of Country.

Got a craigs list response to a bike i'm selling from this number. Asking me to respond immediately to 208-779-0281, Jose Brad, parisgallery24@gmail.com. looks like a scam.

OVER & OVER &OVER & OVER---I advertised a bike on Craigslist - 17 responses, ALL SCAMS, WHY CAN'T THEY BE STOPPED....TO MANY DUOGHNUT SHOPS OR TO BUSY SHINNING THERE BADGES????

This person used the name Jose Bran. People doing this need to be shot.
They will keep doing so ontil they do. Scum of the earth.

this person is very busy it sounds from all of this info, is a scam, would cost 3x more to ship my item to Idaho that the cost. From a Craig's list add......do not reply!

My Craigslist reply for a boat was your same exact message. I was suspicious right off the bat because of the bad grammar. My contact was by text and assumed a woman. Requested transaction by paypal. I do know that Cell phones can be purchased and used anywhere. This person could be sitting in another country. Wish the authorities could do more. A place everyone could forward a spam. Look at how many probably are falling for the scams.

Got this message today 4/9/13 and he will get the wrong person and will his computer infiltrated.  I think he is hoping he preys on a naive person who will take him up on his scam.
