Based on my research, this number belongs to New World Mortgage and they appear to be involved in telemarketing.

Received call on July 10 at 5:34pm. This phone # is in Inglewood Calif.(Southern California) It is an outfit soliciting buyers who want to buy or refinance a mortgage. So if you own a house you will probably be called by someone in this industry. With house sales down, this is one way they try to make the 'nut'. Try to get the name of the outfit if you can. They have machines that do the  dialing and try to connect to a person asap. But the equipment still needs tweaking to improve the slide into connection.

the call - suspected it was a telemarketer.

I got a call from this # on my cell in Los Angels 5:39 pm 8/29/07. Didn't know it so I didn't answer.

Called my cell phone about 5:35 PST. Didn't recognize the number, so I didn't answer. I'm glad I didn't.

I got a call from this number on my cell phone at 7:00 P.M. on 8-28-07.  Don't know how they got my cell number and I don't know how they are allowed to solicit on cell phones anyway.  Isn't it illegal to do so?

yep, they called me too and didn't leave a message. This area code belongs to Idaho somewhere and I'm in California. Don't know anyone in Idaho.

I get this number alot. Mostly in the hours of 7-9 am but there are times that this number pops up on my phone in the wee hours from 2-5 am. This telemarketing to people cell phones should be out lawed, banned and punishable by death. We pay for those wasted minutes on some lower end plans. Ive actually called this number back and it was a mortgage company schpiel....I asked them to please tell me where my house was that they wanted me to refi because I was cold and hungry and needed to go to the bathroom. They didnt have an address for me....interesting to say the lease. LMAO!!!

Received call from 208-906-1029 on my T-Mobile ARIZONA cellphone while I was on the way out of work.  They hung up 2 sec after i answered (with dead air/silence).  When I called the # back, no voicemail, no answer.  Funny thing is that I do NOT own a house, never have in the U.S. ...worrisome.

A telemarketer called my cell phone.  An automated message offered me a "low fixed rate mortgage".  I hung up.

Missed call on Verizon cell phone, no message.
Busy on callback.

I just want the calls to stop. You don't need my name.

I am on the 'Do not call' list and this NEW WORLD mortgage broker is violating the law.  Next step: Complaint to my State Attorney Office

"New World Mortgage Inc" seems to be nation-wide, nothing in Idaho.  May have a phone boiler-room in ID.

Maybe calling them every time we get a call from 208-906-1029 would have some effect on the "New World Mortgage" empire.

Just got a call on my cell phone, I didn't answer it and got no message.  After reading this post, I'm assuming it's a telemarketer, but I'm also on the DNC list. I wonder who is selling our numbers to these people?  I'm with Verizon, if that makes any difference.

The statistics on selling something thru Telemarketing can't be high.

My cell phone wrang with this number.  I did not recognize it, so i let it ring.  Woke me up from a nap i was taking.  I was waiting on a call from someone important.  This was not them.  Also, I think i received a call from this number while driving home on the hiway a few weeks ago.  One of these unwanted telemarketing calls could kill someone if they are driving.
