I called back from a land line just for giggles.  It is an automated solicitation regarding travel. should be illegal.

getting calls from 1 208 991 1197 this is my cell phone and i have to pay for this call a**holes

I got a call from this number 208-991-1197 last night on my cell...  I didnt answer because i didnt know the number...  And how did they get my cell number???

Received about my 5th call on 2/24 call is in spanish and says if I don't want to receive anymore calls to press 1,didn't respond.

I got a call from this number on the Feb 24th on my cell which is used for business, I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. No clue how they got my number.

Just called, didn't answer. It showed up as an international number. No message.

received a call at 10 am..when you call it back you can put your number on their dnc list lets hope that actually works.

Received a call at 11:15. I didn't answer. they called my cell phone.

just got a call from these folks on my cell. Spanish recording. Hung up.
Also had call from 5093629996 on 2/2/09. I am not on do not call registry. I'm in SE usa. Call provider is at+t (cingular). Cell not used for online shopping. Any of following common to anyone else?
travelocity, ticketmaster, bank of america, stubhub etc.
If others post possible sources, we might see where the list came from.

Got a call today! Didn't answer. I never give companies my cell phone number but lately i did use it on orbitz.com...i wonder...

When I answered the cell phone someone was speaking in chinese, but never answered as I asked whose calling.

A recorded voice saying "You just won a trip to Cancun. Press 1 to claim your prize."

I hung up.

Okay, lets get this straight for starters. A quick scroll through your received numbers, you only get a plus sign if its international. For example calls I got from UK say +44 etc. This is not originating from Boise Idaho. If it was it would say 1-208..... just like your other calls list 1-whatever. not +whatever. Feel free to call back 1-208 but that is not where this call came from. Seems like Egypt to me.

Got an automated call on my cell (Idaho), said I have won a trip.  I immediately hung up.  My cell number has been listed on the DNC List since October.  We can report unsolicited calls on the National Do Not Call List website, if your number has been registered for over 30 days.  This is the second complaint I have filed due to telemarketing.  The more complaints made, the more difficult it will be for these creeps to get to us.

I got a call from this number today...208-991-1197.

I've been doing some research online, and basically Canada's Do Not Call registry can be purchased by any "telemarketing" company to take clients off lists for $50 without any form of confirmation of their existence. Apparently these lists are often purchased by fraudsters who then try to scam people who have previously asked to be taken off the list.

Do not answer if you do not recognize the phone number. I suggest calling your phone company, alerting them that this number keeps calling, and finding out if there's a way to block their calls through them.

I received this phone call in Nova Scotia, Canada at 11:55 pm. I did not answer.  This was on my business blackberry.

I answer once and was a recorder machine in Spanish saying that "the cash register has opened and I was a winner of a thousand dollars" and I heard a sound of a cash register open. It was stupid
