Yeah claimed to be from Great Destinations Travel Agency. I don't know if they are legit or not as most companies place their call centers overseas but.. It sounded fishy. I emailed the actual organization about it. Anyhow I called the official 800 number and no accent... Suprising.. Oh well.

Same story here....called at 8:45 pm and did not leave a message.  Glad I read about these a***oles.

Called at 8:30 said was from Great Destinations. I immediately said I'm not interested and she tried to convince me they were not selling anything. Well I figured she wasn't calling for a friendly chat so I hung up and blocked the number from future calls. BTW I am on the do not call list but they obviously don't care.

I been receiving calls from this phone # (209)231-4700 at 9:30 pm. from a lady called "Alex" I don't know her and I don't appreciate calls at that time form people or companies I don't even know to do telemarketing, because I work nights and I'm asleep at that time

A telemarketer from "Great Destinations." Selling timeshares.

I receive a call around 8:20 pm from this woman with a heavy accent. She was saying that I won an all expense paid trip to Las Vegas. All I had to do was attend an informative seminar in Ontario, CA. She said that I had to take my wife or a "significant other". I was driving while talking to her so I just hanged up after I realized this was some time share business or some sort of scam.

They called me at 5 pm, I didn't answer and googled them, I found what you saying. after 30 min they called again I answered an Asian man keep talking with the same things you all was talking about a new company in the area and a gift to SF or LasVegas valid for full 1 year. And I told him I am busy during this full year and I cant go any where :). he get shocked!! told me all year you cant go I told him yes I cant I am sorry. he said OK. then we hung up. heheheheheheheheh

I got a call during the 6:00 p.m. hour (Pittsburgh time). This is ridiculous; called on the unauthorized number. Very pissed at this.

So they called I didn't pick up then looked them up and couldn't find anything so I decided to call them back. Some guy with a Filipino accent picked up and just said "Hello" Then I said "Hello yeah did someone call" He's like "Yeah yeah hi sir this is blah blah from Great destinations how are you" Totally sounded like ok TELEMARKETER so I immediately said "Hey just take me off the list" then on my way hanging up on him I hear him yelling "Why, Why Why!!!" then I blocked them! so yeah definitely a telemarketer.

Around 7:10 this company "Great Destinations" calls.  Phone says in CA, but accents are Asian or Philippine.  They say they are in "Orange City" CA, but I think they are calling from Metro Manila, Philippines.  I will report them to "Do Not Call List."

Said he was from "Great Destinations". Said they were calling from "Orange, CA"..yeah right, I've lived in OC my whole life and know it's 714. Besides it was a madhouse in the background and he had an East Indian accent. Was nice enough but I'm still on the do not call list so I told him it was an illegal call.

I think it is either a scam, or a skip trace for delinquent credit-student loans. I have student loans outstanding and 209 area codes have shown up as performance solutions or technologies, my guess is after so long of no contact it goes to a skip trace to validate numbers and contact information, etc..

Got a call on my CELL PHONE!!!! And it was AFTER 9PM!!!

Just got one at 9:09. I would have tried the Barry trick but she hung up within 5 seconds.

they knew my name i dont know how. they asked which place i preferred las vegas or san diego and then said there company is called national getaway or something.... idk what this is but i dont waqnt another call from them.

I also got the call for same reason to attend 90 min seminar and then I'll get 2 nights and 3 days free in Vegas.... She asked me to give some wrong info in seminar and show my credit card, when I said NO to put any wrong info then she said forget about the gift and she hung up on me...it sounds like a scam...

I blame Iheart radio, I entered one contest with a text,now my phone blows up with #s like this one... argggggg

They called several times an when I finally answered I asked them how they got my number because it has been private and registered on the do not call list for years they then hung up. I called back and asked to speak with a supervisor explained and told her that I was going to report the company she then hurried her closing call trying to be polite but was not then hung up on me!

Asian dude offered me a random vacation and I respectfully declined. He asked, "for the record why don't you want to? Do you not like vacations that are of no cost?!" I replied with "No, I like paying A LOT of money for my vacations" with extreme sarcasm!

Some camel-jockey called wanting me to attend a 90 min presentation on vacations and give a round trip 4 night accomodation to San Diego. When I said all I wanted was the free trip she hung up!

This # has called my phone for several months now - previously I was not able to find any info - glad I checked back to see who it is - and yes I am on the do not call list - I will file a complaint with them-  never leave a message.

said it was a referral based company; asked her to slow down repeat the business name again as I got the call on my work line, then she hung up. I had written down the number before the call ended and called back. Had to take time out of my day to have someone hang up on me ....call them and ask them not to call.....Natural Resorts was the name if I am remembering correctly.....

omg this fraudulent company some lady with messed up English calls me at work saying I won all this blah blah and she says a friend or family member listed my information. when I asked who she acted like she couldn't hear me and said she didn't have access to that information. it was noisy there were a million kids screaming in the background sounded like a day care. I told her not to call anymore. she calls right back and I tell her is she using ACC accurint a skip trace system where you type in peoples SSN and all there family members and there numbers and address pull up ( bc I work at financial firm). she said she cant tell me how she got my number they said they are calling from Ontario. I goggled the phone number bc I know 209 area code in Northern California. Ontario is 951 or 909 BC I live 15 mins away from Ontario ,ca. Sure enough I call from my job and all of  a sudden its a Magic Jack land line calling from Jacksonville, CA. I call back saying Im reporting them they are now scared trying to convince me they are not a scam. HE says he wont call me anymore. all of a sudden its a guy. FISHY BUSINESS. I think its ironic everyone is recently getting these calla

Got a call and listened through the whole thing.  After providing your name, your partners name, ages, salary totals and email, they tell you they are from EmPower Partners and will give you a trip to Disneyland, Disneyworld, or San Diego for 2 nights with tickets to the park.  I went for it and then blocked the number.  I mean really?  "We just need your ID and show us your credit card at the seminar".  Um. no.

Called at 1130pm... i was already sleeping. I should have picked it up and cursed at them.

Just another scam. Kinda like bofa chase and wells Fargo, re adjusting 50,000+ overseas troops mortgages to make their payments less....Oooops ! All 3 made the same mistake and charged them all more and foreclosed on some homes. Just another honest mistake. Like verizons mistake of charging data charges to millions of customers by mistake...I've told all of the above, your full of s***....

This person called asking if am the owner of (saying my phone number) and then started talking about how i was selected to be given a trip and so on... I asked twiced to try to understand what she was saying but all i understood that the company was from ontario and then asked for my aged and if i was singled or married. I really didnt like this call from them and i really hope they stop calling me.

got a missed call from this number, and called them back a few minutes later. guy with an accent answers and tells me his name and that he's from ontario, ca. he says "ma'm please do not get offended by this question, but may i ask how old are you?" i asked him what the call was about and he said "not a problem, goodbye." lol maybe he thought i was a little girl so he didn't throw me his pitch. lucky me.
