Got a call from this number on 5/10/07 at 8:11 pm in the San Francisco area. Didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

I am just sharing, hopefully others out there will have better luck!

Today being 05/14/2007 my mom called me freaking out that she just won a cell phone but that she knew right away that no things are 'free'. She was freaking out because my mom and myself have the same name and they knew a lot about her. I then Checked the internet with the number she says was on the caller ID and here I find exactly what I needed. My mom has Sprint as well because of me and when she kept telling the agent that she needed to call her daughter (me) to verify that it was ok to get another phone, the customer service rep said, "why do you need to call your daughter, you can make your own decisions can't you?" it was as if though my mom was being harrased. I hate all telemarketers as well. I have a contract with T-Mobile, another company that won't put a stop to another annoying telemarketer with phone number 209-398-8989, another spanish speaking scam, "YOU JUST WON". Yeah right, I just lost my airtime. Now I know that Sprint does not care about it's customers if they provide personal information to third party companies. I hope you all can find solutions to this problem and maybe can share what you know.  Thanks!

***PS.. I actually called Sprint back to verify if any changes have been made to my account and they say that I just have a new phone order. That I have a re-newed contract and that my phone order is on it's way. Requested to know what city the representative was at, and she verified that she was in Monterrey Mexico. It is so infuriating that these type of scams are happening, even from a company that I thought very highly of. I am still on the line, trying to cancel the order. I hope that I am able to fight the system.

Keeps calling my cell number.

I am getting the same thing here in port st lucie florida.This 209-398-8989 keeps calling and when I answer its some spanish s***!!The area code is california??I try to call back and it says the number is no longer in service.

Received the same as others have reported. Received call..answered and hispanic male said something and hung up.Called back and is busy

Just got a call from 2093988989 - I didn't answer

I JUST GOT A CALL FROM 209-398-8989 AS WELL. I MISSED THE CALL AND WHEN I TRIED CALLING BACK I GOT A BUSY SIGNAL.

I just received a call to my cell phone from this number and got a Spanish recording. As soon as I said something the recording stopped. I said I will report them to as many organizations I can and to expect to be fined.

did not answer. They called 5/11/07 at 5:57 P.M.

No message left when they called.

3 different phone calls from the same company with the same mexican saying the same thing.  2 from blocked numbers and one from this number.  They called two different phone lines of mine.

Got call, didn't recognize # ....never answered....they left no messege

@ work, on the west coast, got a missed call from this # 05.11.07 @ 10:25am.  Tried to call # back like 3x and kept getting fast busy signal!  Please put me on the DO NOT CALL LIST! ahah!  When pigs fly right!?!

Received call from 209.398.8989 left no message at 5:36pm 5-10-07 I have Cingular and the phone called (me) is in area code 831.  I WISH we could hold people accountable.

Call received 4:09 pm EDT May 10, recorded Spanish-speaking male. Just hung up, no attempt to redial.

2nd time I have had a call from this number

Just received the third call from this number with Spanish message...tried redial and got a busy signal.

Answered and heard a Spanish recording. I quickly hung up. My bf who was with me dialed the number and got "the number is not longer in service" message.
