it is 5:30 am here where I live, and they have already called within the past few minutes! Between the last three days they have called about 9 times. Which would drive me nuts if I didn't have the ringer muted. I have no idea who these guys are, but they are persistent and not in a good way.

Got a call from 209-555-5308, but whenI call it back it goes to Welcome to Sprint 411.  I called sprint and they say they on 411 they can only revceive called not call out.
Stop them.  they call atleast 10 times a day

yes, i had received more than 5 calls today on this number 209-555-5308. who the heck is this peoples. don't leave messages and keep border peoples call.

The phone number is fake.   When he called me last I took control of the situation.  I began shooting questions at him very aggressively. I asked for his full name, company name, address, phone number etc.  he got nervous.  I told him that I would find out who he really was and his company and that I would report them to various bureaus including the FBI.  Miraculously he stayed on the phone.  Then very forcefully I told him to stop calling.   Then I blocked the number on my tmobile account.  You can block up to ten numbers at a time. Other companies that get your info from the same place are (202)6574474 and (714) 8810374.  Block these also.

very annoying phone calls with their foreign accents.. can`t they get arrested ?

I typed this phone number on search to see what I could find about this and I read similar pain in the butt complaints from this/these losers.  Like you all have said, in the calls, they just hang up. When you call on another phone it says this describer is not available.  I only had this phone number for a couple of weeks now and just started getting these irritating phone calls today.  They must have a lot of time on their hands and be very bored with their life to just call and hang up.  For the few that actually heard their uneducated come ons and threats, do what the others suggested and don't bother to answer it or get your number changed.  In this day and age it looks like we may as well get used to these terrorist (I call them) trying to scam off of us or just bother us and make our lives uncomfortable.  I will just lower the volume until I see someone I do want to talk with.  Was happy to see that I was not alone and now I have an idea of what is going on.  Thanks all

Same company quickiecashloans I would get a call not on my home phone but on my cell phone is what I was told when i called the number on the website after telling them that the guy had me sign up for my credit score on two sites on their page

A fake payday loan company phishing for banking details. This number has been calling for days now, each time offering me a loan, when I ask exactly what type of loan (secured/unsecured/installment/payday/auto/etc.) the person on the other end of the line sounds confused. I asked for them to just send me details in writing and they refuse to do that, instead they try to bully you into giving them your details over the phone.

Received a call from 209.555.5308 and wondering who it is that is calling.

These illegal people scammed me out of 175 from a Company that's based in Angelscamp, Ca. Me honestly thinking that i was granted a legit loan not really knowing that the wiring of your Money was going to a total different company. How do i go about reporting them other than through the better business bureau, also how can i go about retrieving my 175 from the fake followers of the Muslim religion.

They are called "phantom scam artist." I live in Texas and I too get these calls. Brian Ross of ABC did a news story on them in Dallas on June 8,2012. If you google scams out of India or India scammers it will come up. Watch the videos...they also had a report on Nigerian scam artist...interesting. Do not answer your phone, IGNORE them. Report to your local FTC branch and FBI branch. They will ask you what was said and for the numbers. If you are like me I do not anser callers I do not know...Good luck!

They are Quickie Cash Loans. They say you've been pre-approved for a payday loan or a personal loan, have you choose which one you want, and then they want you to go click thru their site to get a "free" credit score from any number of those sites....etc....etc....etc...

Just a scam marketing call.

I just answered a call from them. It is www.quickiecashloans.com.  She said they want to give me either a payday loan or a personal loans and that I was pre-approved, so which one do I want.  They have you go to their website and click thru there to get a "free" credit score from any number of "free" credit score sites. Problem is each one of them wants you to sign up for a free trial. When I told her I don't want any free trial because I already know my scores, she said, "Just go ahead, it will give you a better score than you got from Experian." At that point, I said not to call me anymore and I hung up.

First, verify that your phone # is on the registry (follow the directions to do this-you need to know it is anyway for your own info), then click on "File a complaint" on the left side of the screen at the web address and file a complaint. I can assure you that attention will be paid to your complaint - I complain about every such call I get, and it's a rarity that I get any now. Good luck - this is awful to have happen to you.

This is a fake number there is no 555 numbers used anywhere. They are used in tv and movies

I am getting about 40 calls a day from different numbers all with basically the same message.... Said I had inquired about a loan, which I had not.  They all sound East Indian.  when I threaten to report them, they hang up.  Surely there should be some recourse here!
