I was called on my cell and my work numbers. i dont answer unknown numbers on my cell phone however, I had to answer the work number. I was told I am being sued but the foreign person on the phone would not tell me who it was from or what it was about. All she gave me was a phone number to call and it would be explained to me. If it is a dept collector then she should have said the standard collector statement. But she did not.

hey i just got a call from them as well and what i did was file a complain with the FTC (Federal Trade Commision)  First check out this site: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/
after that go to google and type ftc and then click contact us link and call this number 1-877-FTC-HELP
make sure you have the name of the person who called you, the guy that called me was called james parker and mike jones, after that make sure you ask for a 30 or 90 day free credit watch i think thats what its called because its some fraud thing seeing that they have your personal information...other than that the only other thing to do is change your number and make sure you do NOT pay these people any money becasue they will try to scare you and wouldnt be bad to have an attorney call them..a collections attorney, out here in new york it would be Kenneth Hiller

Just to add to what you already know about these people, the phone number they gave you (fax) is not even a Los Angeles area code.  I looked at that number and thought it was (and was right) a Canadian number.

This number, comes back to Elm Creek Manitoba, Canada.

I got two voicemails from these idiots. They left messages for a friend of mine that applied for  a loan online and used me as a reference.  I called them back and identified myself as the attorney representing my friend and that we were on a recorded line.  After a brief silence, he started swearing and hung up.  I tried to call back several times and they kept hanging up.   Ever since they stopped calling my number and my   friend's as well.

I had a friend, that is a paralegal, call to gather information from this number regarding my ?case?...this is what she got from them...

Law firm:
Customer Affairs and Regulations
1365 Chulo Vista Drive
Los Angeles, CA

204 436 0569-Fax
File Number:  Would not give it to me
Mark Brown, who when asked what his position was said he was a lawyer...when asked to confirm that he was a lawyer, he then said ? I am not a lawyer, I am a liar?...and hung up the phone...we called back and were told to stop calling.  Soon they became flustered, asking me how old I am, and then he started making kissing sounds on the phone, telling me he was giving me his kisses and that he loves me.  I could barely hold back the vomit.  Now they are afraid of me...we will call and call and call if we have to...I suggest you do too...
...if you need any help with this, contact me here... I would be happy to help you, too!

if you really want them to squirm, call them back...again and again and again...give them a name and number to a local lawyer, your local FBI office, your local police office, demand their legal ID number for the state they claim to practice in, ask when they were admitted to the bar and able to practice law in that state...demand information such as who the creditor is, when the loan was paid out, what the terms of the loan are, when you signed the agreement, where their law firm is located, what the address of their law firm is...they will have nothing...call your bank and let them know you are having this issue so they can make the proper security changes on your accounts...dont fall for this...and dont put up with it, either...bully them back...dont allow yourself to be a victim!

Just got two calls from these idiots...one on my home phone and one on my cell.  I use my home phone for my business.  They left a message that was ridiculously unprofessional about how my lawyer needed to contact them and if they did not "good luck to you".  I called from cell phone and she read off a social security number which WAS mine but I told her it was not.  She said "Oh, then we will not call again".  I asked "Before you go, can I please have your address".  She had claimed she was from First State Attorney's Office...HORRIBLE English and claimed her name was Kimmie Snyder (yeah...okay).  When I requested the address, she hung up immediately.

So, I called back.  They answer and disconnect immediately.  I tried three times.  So, I found this site and decided to turn the tables.  I called them from my home phone, which is listed in my husband's name NOT my business name.  I gave them a fake name and said I was my attorney and that they had called and instructed me to contact them.  "George" asked me to hold and came back to say he did not have a customer on record with my name.  I repeated that I was supposedly one of their "clients' attornies and I was instructed to call them.  He then says "No you are not.  You are calling from..." and stated my company name.  NOW I know who they are....they ARE scam artists who attempted to defraud me out of $2100 last week with one of those "we send you $2500, you cash the check and send us $2100 back but keep your fee".  This was from a job I applied for through my business and they were to pay me $350.  I turned the fake check over to the police.  This is all related.  I plan to turn it over to the FTC and inform the state police.

I am not sure how they got my social security number except that my company is an LLC and I had to submit that information to the state to start my corporation.

I received a voicemail at work from someone claiming to be Paul MIller and to call him immediately at 209-563-4220. Very bad accent. When I called this number this morning, the guy who answered said that Paul had left the courthouse. Per him, Cash Advance Group was filing 3 charges against me. All having to do with a online loan that I supposedly did in January. When I asked him for the so called amount he said $300-400 and that my back rejected the eft transaction to withdraw funds. Per the caller, they are serving me papers 3/24 at home and my work. ARE THEY FOR REAL?!?

My sister has been dealing with these idiots for awhile now, and I and several other relatives have been getting a few calls in regards to her.  Now all of a sudden I am getting these calls direct from 209-563-4220 from a Mr Daniels, which is about all I can understand besides the fact I am about to be sued.  I tell them to get screwed and hang up.  Anything I can do to get them to stop?

Yes these people are scam artist the only smart thing about them is that they have diposable phones and each week they call from a different number I save the voice mails they leave and call them back from another phone and play back their messages I tell them there family must have been disgraced by the lack of education they have and the only job they could get was a worthless job calling people and trying to get money from them I call them camel jocks and jsut keep harrasing them as they do me they fianlly give up but report them I have reported them to the FBI, Attorney General and even had the police call them back which they cussed out so don't be afraid they can not do anything to you if you are afraid something is out on you call your local police dept and inquire they will tell you if there is anything being processed against you DO NOT GIVE IN TO THESE WORTHELSS PEOPLE AND DO NOT GIVE THEM OR SEND THEM MONEY THEY ARE FULL OF S***...

Becci, unfortunately, it is not against the law to call you at work. You have to TELL them you don't want them to call your place of business. And then, as if to make things more difficult for you, you have to send them a letter stating that you don't want them to call your work. Make sure you send it certified so the post office gets a signed receipt from them. Of course, it all sounds like a scam call so you probably wouldn't even be able to get an address from these jerks to send a letter to.

I reported this number to my local FBI agency. I was instructed on what to do.  The representative said she'd been getting such calls as well. Just simply do not answer or respond to any voice mails. These are scammers.

Received a call stated that were going to sue me and read off an affadated.  I asked the person to send me paperwork and they kept changing the subject stating I have received information on this which I have not.  Heavy accent.  Very rude.  Calling me at work and that is against the law.  I did not take out a loan.

If you want to get rid of them, it's been suggested to actually have your attorney call them back. They'd sh*t their pants! HAHAHAHA! or even have someone call them back and pretend to be an attorney, after all, they pretend to be debt collectors among other things.

Wayne~ the problem is that these people are apparently overseas and used VoIP (voice operated internet phones) to make these calls. These types of calls are impossible to track. From what I gather in these posts, there is something being done about it but, as you probably know, it takes the government a LOOOONNNNGGGG time to figure these things out and take action. For now, I guess what we have to do is what some people on here are saying, tell them you know they're a scam and drive them crazy by calling them all the time. *67 and dial the number, it'll block your number from coming up. Some of the folks posting to this site have been doing this and sometimes the phone lines get shut down or they take it off the hook. Hey, at least it stops them from making more calls.
