I do not answer these calls technically. I pick up the receiver on the first ring (making sure there is NO background noise) and leave the receiver off the hook until it disconnects. I searched the number here to see if it is indeed another scam/phishing attempt. Then I set up with my phone provider to forward the number to the FCC. I have been reporting these types of calls for a couple years and nothing seems to change. Forwarding the calls to the FCC seems to somewhat lessen the number of calls I am getting.

These a**les have been calling me three times a day, every weekday, from 8 AM to 8 PM for at LEAST 3 weeks. If I ANSWER they hang up. If I let my MACHINE pick up, they hang up. Has anyone heard of CA Penal Code 653M? These idiots are certainly violating it ....

This is a Florida company, and yes, it's a scam. I'm a former employee, sadly. I worked there 3 days in 2011, when they were running an energy inspection scam. Their boss is Mike Hilgar, and the call room manager is a fat bald s*** named Chris, who has no car and cheats on his wife. They buy pizza for the staff every Friday using stolen credit card info. Spread this to Reddit.com. They need to be stopped. Company names I've seen: Elite Information Solutions, Electric Power Association, USA Energy, the list goes on.

Here we go again, calls from this number come in weekly. Usually a recorded message from a group that calls themselves "Senior Safe Alert". This time dead air (again).

The company calling from this number is Connect America, Life Watch-USA. Their real # is 209-642-4144. Report them to www.donotcall.gov They refused to identify themselves until I gave my credit card.

These calls are from Connect America, doing business under several company names. Life Watch USA. They will not provide company information because they are violating the nation wide DO NOT CALL laws. They hide behind fake caller ID. When you receive a call from this number, immediately, go to www.donotcall.gov and report the violation. The real phone number for the company is 800-716-1433.
I had to provide my credit card number to obtain this information. Its time for consumers to fight back.

Get this call every so often. Says it's from Lodi, CA. Never even heard of the town. Never picked up the call, so I've tried calling back. Nothing but a busy signal. Nothing else comes up through searches.

Caller I.D. says "Lodi, CA". No message left.

They're at it once again. They've been calling me everyday, in the early morning, and sometimes in the evening for the last three days. I grabbed the last call that came in at 7:30PM. I decided to "play" along with the caller in hopes of getting enough info on the company as possible. The caller identified herself as Kate. She said that her records show that a senior citizen lives at this (my) phone number. I asked her, "What records?" She wouldn't be straight with me. I asked her what company is she associated with. All she'd say is that they are an agency working with a company for Senior Safe Alert. I told her that I never heard of the company before. She asked again if a senior citizen lived at my phone number. I asked the caller, "What age qualifies as a senior?" She said 55 and older. I told the caller that I'm 57. She responds by saying that, "You qualify, sir. Then she goes on about the many handy dandy life alert devices available at discount senior rates. Afterwards she asks for my name?" I gave her a fake name. She then asks for a valid credit card. I told her, "I purchase everything by cash." She sighs and hangs up on me. I called the number back and, of course, it's "no longer in service."

well i just mailed three letters,
one to my congressman
one to each of my senators
requesting they use power of "Commerce Clause" to force phone companies to:
1. Provide a 'star code" whereby a consumer can automatically report illicit telemarketer calls
2. Log all such calls, with true origin not the 'spoofed' cllaer ID, in a database accessible to law enforcement and FCC.
Face it - telemarketers are a revenue source to phone company so they'll have to be FORCED to help out,
even though like any common carrier they have obligation to protect customers from unruly behavior of their other customers. Airlines dont put up with one passenger harassing all the others, why should phone company?
Please write your congressman
and if anybody knows how to find the mailing addresses of 'call centers', please post it.

i believe it to be
Senior Safe Alert with an unscrupulous telemarketer in Florida.
I left twenty messages at Senior Safe Alert's 800 number,
here,,http://www.seniorsafealert.com/
and i always click their ads becasuse it costs them per click.

Same ring, answer, & hang up drill the others are getting. Someone should look into why these calls are coming in before & after 8am & 9pm. It's against the law. Also, AT&T is of no help and assistance. They just want to get paid then ship your call to off shore or uneducated people in south or right to work states. They aren't paid to help solve your problem - just to answer the phone & transfer you.

Steve 2013-01-10 01:16:16 Unknown
I tried to get the name of the company out of the operator. She told me they were the "I've fallen And I Cant Get Up" company. This was a lie. They are ignoring the nation wide Do Not Call list and hide behind fake caller IDs.
Terry P 2013-01-09 04:29:59 Unknown
I've received hang-up calls from this number. What's the use of the National Do Not Call Registry if people get away with this?
joe 2013-01-08 22:06:20 Unknown
These people call here 2 times a day every day. Only good thing about them is when the answering machine picks up, they instantly hang up, so I do not have to delete a message. Do Not Call List is good for nothing and stops nothing. Best just not to answer any number you do not recognize on your caller ID.

This number has called me 5 times in December. It seems since I am on the DNC registry I have been getting more of these kind of calls.Reportimg it has done no good it just gets worse. Gotta love caller ID.I don't bother to answer phone numbers I do not know. It is annoying to get these kind of calls all day long.

You people have as much a chance about your FCC, Verizon or the Do Not Call List characters ' taking action' as you do of finding a solid gold 100 ton meteor in your yard some morning. Dont be so cheap ! Get a Call Blocker.
Anyway, telephone scams net an estimated 17 billion dollars a year... couple that with the fact that Verizon is making money off telemarketers using their business and off you for having a phone. Verizon is not about to cut revenues because you people are too cheap to buy a Call Blocker. So enjoy your misery.
And when did a gov't employee ever actually earn a days pay? You keep getting these telemarketer/scammer calls from the same old places all of the time... DUH ! doesn't * THAT * tell you how hard at work your gov't employee is ? Wake up and protect your own privacy !
Oh, once again, my call log registered this number as having called me but my phone never rang... I have a Call Blocker.

Calls from this number come in weekly. Usually a recorded message from a group that calls themselves "Senior Safe Alert". This time dead air.
This is a SCAM, I have filed complaints at:
https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2
but the calls keep coming from this same number (that is spoofed), when called back a "not in service" message is played.
Caller ID information is in violation of FCC rules "Caller ID ...telemarketer is required to transmit or display its phone number, its name or the name and phone number of the company which it is selling products"
PO person 2013-01-05 16:14:35 Telemarketer
File a complaint with Verizon Wireless. If enough people file complaints against the number, maybe they'll take action before the FCC makes them take action.
LC 2013-01-05 16:04:44 Unknown
Cav, I have tried that and they still call. I have blocked their numbers and they just call back on a new one.
They are like a bad rash....they just keep coming back. I don't understand what would make these people think that their constant harassment will generate anything other than a hostile prospect.
I just keep reporting them each time they call.

These people call at all times of the day and night. I am sure it is a scam as no reputable company would call anyone for their business at 11:30 pm at night then again at 6 am the next morning.
David Clark 2013-01-05 03:00:14 Telemarketer
01/04/2013 6:32 PM. Caller ID said "Unknown name". Recorded message said "Senior Medical Advisory" offering a life alert type communication device to seniors. Some others who were called have said that the company is "Safe Line" and is located in Lodi, California.

For fun, here is a site to get recorded phone messages to download to your computer, and then play when a telemarketer calls. For example, the message will tell them that their phone has been disconnected, or that they will be charged $1.50 for tracing a call, or that your phone automatically rejects anonymous calls.
