They told me I was approved for 3000 I had to pay 503 for a deposit and they took my money and I never got the 3000

I had someone call from California Cash Advance with the offer of a loan for $3K, and while I am desperately in need of a loan, they asked for $200.00 as a deposit, and to pay $150.00 per month for 22 months.  They gave me a number to call 209-782-0039, which no one answers.  They phone from Jamestown and/or Merced.  Thank you all for the information!

It seems no matter how many you contact, nothing is going to be done.
I'm looking for these people and would like any, if not all of the information that anyone has.
Names, First and last if you have it.
Other numbers they may be affiliated with.
Names of the companies they've 'claimed' to work with and had you send money to.
The names they've asked you to place on the Western Union Transactions (Nothing more)
Etc.

Any and all the information you can provide or remember would help a substantial amount.
I have been hit for $250 from these people, but would rather find out who they are and what they're
doing with the money, than to try to ask for anymore help from FTC, The FB, or specialist based towards the fraudulent acts. Anything that is international, isn't under US jurisdiction. So your best bet would be to contact an embassy from the philippines (within the USA) and speak to one of their legal's for answer on
what your next step should be.

a message was left on my cell, saying I was approved for a 2k loan with 150 payments for 12 months  or something of that naturre, sounded a little crazy to me as well.  Why would I pay them money to get money, if that is the case, if I had money I would not need their money. dud

I got the same call saying I was approved for 2k and had to pay 50 bucks over the next 15 months. I googled this # just like the rest, totally scammers and fraud! don't be fooled.

I also got a call from this Calvin saying I was approved for $5000.00, but I needed to western union 400.00 to make sure my account was in good standing also wanted my drivers license. Thanks for all the posts when I searched there number I found out what I was about to get into. They wanted me to go to my nearest western union and as soon as I got there call this mr brown back so he could give what he needed to the cashier.

Got the same call after i applied for a personal loan on the internet.  I called the number and talked to some dude that said Mr. Calvin is on another line, but i could hear a T.V. and a woman in the background.  Same thing, 2000 dollars, 150/month for 15 months.  I got scared and hung up, glad i did. Thanks for all the warnings.

I got a call from a restiricted number at first mr jacob said i was approve for 2000 dollars call this number 209 643-088 and give them claim number LM246 then mr john scott told me to western union 150 to mr renuyara begam and dont tell the casher it for a payday cash advance loan or she would charge me a higher fee to send the money after the money was sent mr john scott said i had to pay 300 more for insurance i say no and send my money back he said he will hold the money until i send him the 300 dollars i told him to cancel the loan mr jojn scott said he was still keeping the money.

Everything everyone has claimed is absolutlety true up to the part where I was about to call them after I heard the information of an approval for a loan and terms and payment upfront prior to agreeing to antything.

This people are from out of the country, all they doing is getting people to send them money ..

I fell for this scam! But idk how to get my money back!

I received multiple calls today from this blocked number giving me the same story, a $2000 load to be paid back at $150 per month for 15 months. I had a feeling it sounded to good to be true so I did a search for the number online and confirmed my hunch. This is a total scam. I told the guy I was reporting him to the authorities and he started to curse me out.

I got the same call, a loan for $2k, that I would need to make payments of $150 per month to pay them back. Never got to the point of them asking for money up front, I asked questions and the guy got rude. Before calling the number I searched on the web for the number and found out it was a cell number in California some where. The man hung up on me so I called him back and told him he was rude and how could he run a business if he was so rude. He hung up on me again. I called him back and told him he was a fraud, because he was running a business from a cell phone and that I was going to report him to the police. He hung up on me and I called my local police department and the investigator took all of the information I had.

All what your saying about the information they gave you that is the same information they told me thank goodness you didn't do what I did but thank god I was able to my money back in full.

Im so glad I was able to my money back in full before this person took it.. They called me saying I was approve for a loan of 2,000 all I needed to do is make a payment of 150 by western union so I did cause I did need the money, but what got me was he yelled at me are you making the deposit or what. That did it I went hang up on him did some digging on the number and this is where Im at got my money in full and reporting his a**!!!

Yeah same here they called me from 2096430088 and said i was approved for 3000 and i had to pay 150 a month for 15 months and said i me like a dummy and went to western union and got the green money send form then when they said Costa Rica i started to wonder and my wife to because we really needed a loan and she said why would we send our only money to the other side of the world to someone we don't know and we where gonna do it but there teller said don't do it that it sound fishing so i walked away and told him  him forget i didn't want the loan he started screaming and i have shot temper so i snap then he said he will have all my money withdrawal from my bank account and i told him f*** himself but they had my info they told me my ssn and i didn't tell them it so i reported my identity stolen call should do the same

i had the same guy martin smith....he did talk a good game but after i told my fiance about the whole thing he said it didnt sound right i sent the money... but thank god for the ppl that posted on here if i didnt tell my fiance iand him sayin i think u just been had...i believe toooo many ppl not good thing as  u see. but after that i looked up the number and found this post about the whole thin.. thank god for u great ppl on here i got my money back from western union they didnt get their money and its been a few hrs...jokes on them this time huh???? if it was not for u great ppl like u all and my fiance they would have gotten my money... god bless u all ..    : )

I sent one message allready. I just got another call and they told me that if they were scamming me how would they know all my information. When I asked them to wipe my name and information from there system "Roderick" told me that he would be selling my information to other places. This is kind of scary because they do have my SS number, my place of employment, my address, and phone numbers. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

I got the same call from this number. I called back and spoke with a Mr. Roderick. Telling me I was approved for a 2k loan at 150.00 for 15 months. I found it odd that they could only take a payment through Western Union and that I was supposed to send it to India. I found it odd that I had to pay any money at all. I was tempted to do it because of the expenses that I am putting out for my fathers funeral. I then decided that it just didn't seem right. I don't know how to report them. I hope someone can have something done to stop them.

Did you send them money? It sounds like you did, and they know you will never see the loan. Gosh, peoplelike tme are scum. Sorry to hear about this!
