These idiots just tried this on me today! I called back later on that day and said I had the Better Business Bureau investing them. He then flipped out on me, cursed me out, then hung up the phone. I'm not expecting any more calls from these people any more.

I received a call from this guy. He said his name was Harry Ferguson and that he was calling from the Brown Law Office. He stated that I owed $1129.00 from a pay advance with Ameri Cash Advance which is ridiculous because I never borrowed that much money. He then stated that I was being charged with federal charges and would have to settle out of court paying $1129.00 or go to court to pay up to $18,000. I realized this was a scam because I attempted to call this guy back and the phone number was busy. Don't trust this guy Harry Ferguson. It is a scam. I just got the same phone call, the FBI said there is not much they can do because the use trunk lines and are probably nor even in this country.  When they threatened my job my family and with me being arrested . Thes people should be hunted down but not much we can do try and ignore the calls the best you can. Good Luck  it took me a couple of hours after the phone call to get my blood pressure under control again.

I recieved a call from this number stating that i committed check fraud through American Cash Advance he was foreign guy who was going to sell my case to the credit bureau its a scam report if it happens to you

These guys are also calling under the name Anderson law firm.. once they i confronted them about brown lawn firm they stopped calling for one month then just two days ago started calling again from a different number same guys from before saying they are anderson lawn firm.

This is a fraud. This firm has access to personal information from some lending company and tries to convince people they have committed some kind of banking fraud. I was referred by the FBI to a White-collar crime site online: www.ic3.gov

My son received a phone saying that he would be put in jail because of a pay day loan fraud. They got his information off some internet applications he had sent out for cash advances. The man that left the message said he was an Officer with some fraud detection company in California. We got a big scare about this as they threatened to call my son's job. I called the phone company and they told me that this was a scam. I know it was because the bank account he gave them is now closed and he never received any money. Everyone please beware of these people as they are really rude on the phone when you start asking them questions about proof. Also the phone number doesn't stay connected as we try to call back around 7pm and got nothing but dead air space on the phone.

Mr. Brown Law Office called said i owed 6, 000 dollars and wanted my credit card information. They called reguarding american cash advance. They screamed at me. They said if i did not pay i would go to jail. Threatned my boyfriend. They have all my bank information, my home address, and everything personal in my life. I called my bank and froze accounts! wow how rude are some people. I will be reporting them to my local police station. The guy gave an all american name John Jones. but he could not even speak properly and when i asked for someone that i could understand he freaked out.

Well let me say i got a call from these idiots about a week ago and when they told me i had 3 active warrants for fraud check and etc...I TOTALLY freaked out! I mean nobody wants to hear that....See about a month ago i was going thru some financial difficulties so I looked up some info about payday loans but I didn't go thru with it, that's how these jerk-offs got my number! Anyways so they claim i received a loan, I DIDN'T! i changed my bank account so they don't have my bank  info, I just want you guys to know these are a bunch of scammers dont send them money or believe a word they say!!!! I wish there was a way we could catch these non English speaking jerks!!!

I contacted the FBI, the Consumer Protection Office and the Federal Trade Consumer Office yesterday and filed my complaints against THE BROWN LAW OFFICE, HARRY FERGUSON AND DANNY JOHNSON.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN CONTACED BY THESE SCAMMERS CALL THE ABOVE 3 PLACES AND FILE COMPLAINTS.

(JUST BECAUSE I WAS CURIOUS)  I CALLED THE BROWN LAW OFFICE THIS MORNING AND GUESS WHAT?!  HARRY FERGUSON PICKED UP JUST LIKE YESTERDAY NEVER HAPPENED.

Hi there everyone that's going through the same thing that i am with these fake people they are calling me and chaging there voice and that's true someone need to go after them and put a stop to them . and have them locked up because there hasserong people like that and. I got the same phone call that said that if I don't return there call good luck also . And Now i'm calling them and doing the same thing. and the guy said why are you calling me i told him because you keep calling me and it  doesn't feel good do it and then he hung up on me. the numbers that theri calling me is 209-812-2277, and 1-612-454-7042, so if you guys get phone calls from people that has a different  languaghe and can't speak right or clear or fast you know that there scam. and check in to it.

Hi there this guy just told me that I had took out a payday loan from cash advanced america and he new that I had the lady from that office online and she was telling him that there's no such thing that she has a loan out. and he got mad and said that tomorrow at 11:00 am that the police will be at my door and arrest me because it's fraud and then he asked me have I ever did fraud and I told me never in my life and he said that I will have to go to cort and tell the judge

HI this guy keeps calling me saying that I have a cash payday loan out with cash advanced america and I just talked to this lady name vernico in merced and she said and also told him that I don't have any payday loan out none what soever and hes still calling me and hassred me .

I just received the same telephone call at my place of employment, however, they are now stating that they are Attorney's John (something I could not understand his name).  When I asked him to spell his name for me he paused for what was bout 10 seconds then I told him what you have to look at your script to be able to spell your name for me?  I told him that he was a scam artist and that I was going to report him to the FTC and local police.  He told me that he has them on speed dial and that they know that he is calling me.  I told him that he was a joke and that I was not going to listen to anything else that he had to say and hung up.

He called right back did not ask for me but went right into a spill about he was going to have the police at my office and house to arrest me and drag me to court.  I told him good luck with that as it is illegal in our state to even threat to have someone arrested for a so called debt that he has no clue about and can't even spell his name.

He got mad and hung up on me.

these 2 fools, Danny Johnson and Harry Ferguson -- with the only Indian accents SO NOT BEFITTING THEIR NAMES -- called me and told me I was involved in a class action NY State bank fraud, check counterfitting, whatever, that was going to be filed at 11am tomorrow, and that I needed to give them my attorney's name -- all this without actually telling me what this was all about.  When I told "Danny" that he had the WORST English ever and that I couldn't understand him, that's when he put me on the phone with "Harry".  Harry spoke slightly better English and  told me that I had taken out a payday loan in February 2011 - had defaulted - and that in order to square up, I needed to come up with my attorney name and $8,000 and then some.  When I started LAUGHING and told him that I had my bank statements right in front of me AND that I was not afraid of his "non-speaking English self"-- Harry got "hot under the collar" and started yelling that I was going to be arrested at my job tomorrow and was going to call my job, etc.

As he was yelling -- I was on Google.  They said they were from The Brown Law Firm.  I looked this up - NOTHING.  I then interrupted his yelling to ask him for his address, because I didn't see him on Google.  Still threatening me, he provided me with the address of 1110 14th Street, Suite E, Modesto, CA 95353.  At this point, he hung up on me leaving me with the threat of arrest tomorrow.

I googled the address and the telephone number and came up with differenct reviews of other people he tried to scam.  With those on the screen in front of me -- I called Harry back and told him he messed with the wrong NY girl.  I read some of the reviews to him and told him I would be following up with the FBI and Attorney General of Modesto, CA.

He hung up on me again -- and then I STARTED calling him back to back.  To say the least, he never answered the phone again -- and as I am typing this message, the phone still remains busy.

After reading all the complaints and similar stories, I filed a complaint with as much information as I could remember with the Federal Trade Commission. I urge you to do the same. These people need to be stopped.

Just I had almost the EXACT same call as Daking414. Almost word for word. How do these people come up with our numbers? I never let the guy get as far as an amount, though he did ramble on about 3 fraud charges and a payday loan, blah, blah, blah. VERY rude man.

I told him he was full of ....it. And that he'd best send me this information in the mail if he wanted a response and since I knew I wouldn't receive anything that he'd best lose my phone number.

Left a message on my cell phone. Some guy that I could hardly understand. Called the number back and spoke to some OTHER person that was extremely rude. Stated that there are 3 counts filed against me of fraud, check fraud and some other something or other. I don't write checks except for my house. So that makes no sense.  He said that I need to listen to him or he wouldn't be responsible for what happens. Claims to be from the law offices of Brown in California. Last time this number was on my phone and the person left a message, he said his name was Harry Potter. erm, yeah.

I've been receiving calls from this same number 209-812-2277 telling me that, I'll be arrested Monday morning, and they fed are coming to get me. They said that they deposited some money in my bank account with fsnb, and that I have 3 felonies against me. lol One even left a message on my phone talking about he's sick of me, and if I don't call back all he can do is wish me good luck. When I called them back  they read out a affidivat which didn't make any sense, and when I told them they had me confused, and need to quit playing on my phone. They immediately hung up the phone. Their trying to get peoples account information, and use it for their own purposes to withdraw money from peoples account. PLEASE DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY SAY, AND DON'T GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. THEY ARE FRAUD/SCAMMERS, AND THEY NEED TO BE PROSECUTED FOR THIS ASAP.

i have been getting these calls for over a month said i owed 3000 dollars of a loan i took out wroung did not do that some guy named kevin keeps calling even today my grandma even called and was hung up on i will be calling the bbb after this thanks all for information.

this people just called me saying that i owe $1900 and that I have to go to court  or the police would come pick me up.  they even knew where i worked. I reported this to the police station in my county they said that all i can do is ignore the calls.. these guys are a joke. when i called them back i let them talk they said i had 3 felony charges against me. and that the money was deposited into my wachovia account in feb 2009 then i told him that thats not possible so he proceeded to tell me he said Feb 2011. I told him to hold on and i would check my online account.. then he hung up on me.

I just got the same message. I called it was the Brown Law firm answered by a person witch I could barely understand. Wanted my lawyer info. I told him I did not have one and to send me the info. He said he could not but would read it to me. He put me on hold and I waited about 5 min. and hung up.

Yes i got the call today and 2 days ago,same number and how funny the same amount of money they are asking for as well.$465,00.I was told call credit reports and put a fraud alert and than also call your local police station and report this.
