Do not call doesn't work with cell phones in fact it doesn't work at all I had one caller who called 22 times a day but they did nothing they told me to change my number.

Number keeps calling me everyday at home and at work.

THESE PEOPLE CALL ME, SPEAKING SPANISH.  NEVER ANYONE SPEAKING ENGLISH.  THEY DON'T SEEM TO GET IT, THAT I DO NOT SPEAK SPANISH.

Spanish speaking ONLY that tries to sell you a phone service... they will NOT communiate in English....reported them several times but because they use a 'bot' to fool your caller ID with a bogus return number it doesn't do any good...  I just waste their time by telling them my wife speaks spanish and to hold on...then I just lay phone down and walk away

Go look in a mirror because anyone who thinks that www.donotcall.gov actually does anything when they are using 'bot' to fool your caller ID with a bogus number is the idiot....

It is impossible because they "spoof" the phone to display a different number than what is calling. You can put whatever number it shows but they will continue to call you.

Get a call from this number everyday!  On the Do Not Call list and have been for years, doesn't prevent robocalls.  I've reported to Do Not Call Complaint and I've never heard anything from that website or who ever is suppose to be running it!  Tax dollars at work!

To the person who stated this should be reported to DONOTCALL asking "Why are you so dumb",  apparently you are the one that is dumb.  Reporting these calls does no good.  These people call me in spanish everyday.  I do not speak spanish.  I too tried calling the number back only to find it is a "non working number".

I am getting too many calls from this number

Got a call from the following number:  210-198-3357, did not leave a message, phone listed as NAME NOT FOUND.  I wish someone had the secret to making these callers stop.  It's terrifying when strangers call at their own will.   It frightens children.  Stop, please stop.  At least I new how to acquire their names, so I had grounds to sue every single unwanted caller.

210-198-3357 is NOT (repeat: NOT) a legitimate telephone number in the United States.  It is not a "Verizon number."  It is not available in the United States for Verizon or anyone else to assign.

Thus, because the digit at position "D" is an "X" (i.e., 0-9) rather than an "N" (i.e., 2-9), the number you are all complaining about is either "spoofed" or only a portion of a foreign number that has more than 10 digits.  Either way, it is probably outside the jurisdiction of the FCC and FTC and would be extremely difficult to track down for law enforcement purposes, much less DNC violations.

By the way, some of us are actually old enough to remember back to the days in which BOTH the "D" AND the "E" digits had to be "Ns" rather than "Xs."  That was when every central office had a name and all the numbers on the phone had associated letters.  So you could dial BEachwood 4-7890 instead of 234-7890.  Apparently, the change from NNX to NXX was done because of the cost of replacing or reprogramming all the switches, otherwise we might have gone to XXX instead.

But aside from that, think of what you are asking.  You are asking the federal government to (expensively) track down people in another country from unreliable data, invade that country, and then take these people into custody just so that you can avoid the minor annoyance of being bothered by a few phone calls.  Imagine what would happen if China decided to do the same thing to us.

Or to you, personally.

The problem of TELEPHONE TERRORISM continues to grow in this country, and at an alarming
rate.  Meanwhile, it appears as if no-one in "government" seems to be the least bit concerned,
including you.  Once again, I assert that this, in fact, represents a national security problem.
For example:

I am quite certain you must have heard, as to how "Yahoo" has recently been hacked.  Of course,  
that just happens to be AT&T [telephone], doesn't it?  Well, are you by any chance familiar with
what is called a "CLOUD TELEPHONE SYSTEM?"  If not, I would strongly suggest that you should
read up on just a "little bit," on the overall implications, in that this nation's entire telephone
system is completely vulnerable to "SATURATION."  If  that doesn't represent a national security
problem, then I just don't know what would.

I am also talking about everything from credit-card scammers, to identity thieves, to drug-dealers,
and even terrorists, all of which are able to completely conceal their own identities, while at the
same time, able to completely saturate this nation's telephone system.  Maybe THAT tends to
explain why it appears perfectly obvious, in that the FTC, and their so-called "FTC DO NOT CALL
LIST," is absolutely powerless, and the problem continues to become progressively worse.

May I suggest that, if we "really" want to put the NSA to some very productive work, maybe we
should be directing their attention to this particular problem.

    Agree with DNC's comment on Nov 8. Despite a previous commenter's evident belief
    that merely reporting violators to the FTC will rid citizens of the telescamming scourge
    just by magic if you say so enough times, it's is a waste of time doing so because that
    agency hasn't been effective for several years now and everybody knows it including
    the people doing the phone harassment.
    As to why the FTC stopped effectively enforcing the DNC law, who knows?
    Maybe the federal government  has been putting their most competent DNC enforcement
    employees to work designing that amazing healthcare.gov website of theirs instead. Ha!

People are not idiots that get these calls. I have reported the same number numerous time on the DNC list and they still call. The DNC list doesnt do a thing to stop these calls.
