I have also been contact by a man named Henry Thomas interested in buying my furniture off Craig's list. It sounded weird from the beginning, he text from an out of state number and than wanted to send me a bank check in the mail and have me than send the over payment to a moving company in a  another state. He stated his payment was for more the cost of the furniture and wanted me to than send the over payment to the moving company. I asked why would I take care of that process and have yet to here back. Nice try Henry, your not very slick.

This guy was going by the name Henry Thomas, and wanted to buy my aquarium off ksl in Utah. Beware!

I got the same email and did the sent him my info as well! Did anything come out of it? Did you ever get the check?/cash it?

The same guy i believe just contacted me about my camera and used the same email, emintaba@aol.com but he text me from a different number, 347-915-4307 from Newyork. It was 0nly an hour earlier some scammer named Monica Barry wanted me to send my camera to her daughter in Nigeria. now i cant sell anything without having to look them up first, What a pain in the a**!

Received the same as most of you that have posted here. The name he used was Henry Thomas. He used two separate email addresses when contacting me. One was henrtom1029@gmail.com and the second was henrythom404@gmail.com. This is what he wrote to me:

There are just too many similarities to what others have posted to not see the scam here too. I'm glad everyone took their time to post their encounters because it helped to make me able to see the issue I was about to have. I wanted to do my part as well and share what I knew so maybe the next person would be ready for it as well.

Just wanted to inform everyone that emintaba@aol.com is still scamming. Received a text message this morning about my listing on CL. The text message was from a "George Morrissette". They wanted pictures of my item to be emailed to them at emintaba@aol.com. Claims to live in Shelbyville, IL. and is a "Medical Doctor".

I received the same email from mike.garry18@gmail.com- I knew it was a scam at once,  he inquired on the status of my "item" [I was placing a cat] what an idiot! Don't even respond to any email's from this loser-[generally seen honing his criminal skills on craigslist] Just hope a huge boulder will fall from the sky and squash this puke where he stands.

He is in Provo too apparently, pretty much the exact email. It's scary :\ I gave him some of my info but I am not going through with the check...if it ever actually gets here. Should I be worried?

So if I gave this guy my info but do not deposit the check am I in any trouble? I checked out the email before and the check hasn't gotten here yet but I just want to make sure that I'm not in trouble already. Should I be worried? I gave him my name, address, and cell number.

Found ad looking for Persona Asst. on Craigslist...Carson Moore is what he claimed his name was....email converstations only. Recieved package...with false address however, the phone number was 2102098524.

I was contacted with the same email (see below).  I thought it didn't sound right so I deleted the posting.  I got curious and did a search and found this string.  Thanks for sharing so others don't get scammed.

Thank you for posting this I got the exact same email, felt so bad for her and then thought I would do a search on the gmail address to be safe and found this! lousy people. I emailed them back telling them I was reporting it to the police. sadly probably gave out to much info already :(
