I called it for you, and as i suspected, this is AT&T voicemail for mobile lines.

I have a smartphone, on tmobile, and my call settings under forwarding are set up identically to this, forwarded to an 805 area code that is tmobile's voicemail system number.

The reason people are getting calls from "this" exact number is because telemarketing companies are using technology to spoof the number and make it show any caller ID info they want. That way it isnt traced back to the scammer.

Go ahead, if youre an AT&T customer; borrow a friends phone and call this number. if you put in your phone number and voicemail passcode, you will retrieve your own voicemail messages. They set numbers up in this way on almost all carriers so that if you dont have access to your mobile phone (away from it, whatever) you can remotely call and access your voicemail box.

This is too strange and is extremely aggressive for them to somehow be able to get onto your telephone and change your call forwarding to their number. My phone has never been out of my possession, lost or stolen, and I don't leave it lying around. Now maybe I forgot it at home and left without it. That would be a possibility if they know how to get through burglar bars, locks and padlocks while we were out, but if so that would be very aggressive, too. I have no evidence of that, but it seems most likely this was done through a person, or connection, at ATT. Possibly a hacker may be able to do so. Has anybody heard of how it might be done?

In any event, such aggressive intrusion takes a LOT of time and effort and ... motivation. Someone or some ones who would have that kind of motivation are likely wanting to interfere with our, your lives, hence they are doing the call forwarding attack so they can get any messages, and they must be getting a lot of personal, private, even financial information when a bank, broker, insurance agent calls you. They probably have their end set up to try to fool whoever is calling us so they can steal the message.

Come to think of it, people have told me they called me and got no answer, yet I couldn't find a record of it in my call logs, and this forwarding may have been the reason. It would puzzle me, I wouldn't find their call shown, so had to wonder, Are they lying to me or what? Your mom doesn't lie to you. Attorneys won't lie about that. Some others you are sure they aren't lying, but others you don't know. And you don't connect all this together as related to the phone until like today I find all these Forwarding settings on my phone sending my callers to +12102329000.

This is definitely an invasion of privacy.

Very very strange!
I was checking my ATT Samsung mobile phone settings today, Settings, Calls, Voice Call, and looked at Call Forwarding, Call Forwarding has 5 categories:
1. Forward Always
2. Busy
3. No Reply
4. Unreachable
5. Cancel All

Under Forward Always it was set to Deactivate and no number was given. How it should be.
Under Busy, it shows Voice Call and Data Call. Under Voice Call in that box it say Forward To +12102329000. I never knew this number! Data Call was deactivated with no number to forward to.
Under No Reply, same thing, Voice & Data Call boxes. Data Call forwarding was deactivated. But Voice Call Forwarding was also saying Forward To +12102329000.
Under Unreachable, same thing, Voice & Data Call boxes. Data Call forwarding was deactivated. But Voice Call Forwarding was also saying Forward To +12102329000.

I then changed each box away from that weird number and to another number. Has anybody tried calling this number from a neutral phone somewhere to see who answers? Somebody check that out and see what happens when you directly dial to it to see who answers and then post here. I only have this phone and don't want them to see my number.

If I were all of you I would be checking on your phones to see what they are set to Forward to. This is very, very weird. If I saw it before, I may have assumed it was ATT's number in San Antonio, which is the 210 area code. Take care!

I receive a call on my cell every few days and some times more than once in a day. I received a call this a.m. shortly after midnight.  No message ever.  I don't appreciate being awaken in the middle of the night.

I got a call from this number today.  It was a robocall telling me I could lower my credit card's interest rate (of course it didn't mention which credit card).

I had this number call me 6 times , sounded like someone was saying my name but could not make out what they were trying to say . Then I heard lots of background noise of someone talkng as if the phone was left on and people were talking in the background. I just got this new phone and not sure how to work it  and ended up getting all these calls.
