Keep getting this call - no one says anything -  Im in BC  -  I am getting rid of my land phone - just fed up with all the garbage calls I get.

I got a call from this number at 7:30 this morning, here in B.C.  The caller ID gave the number, and then "Texas".  My machine picked up and they left no message.

Same crap. They seem to be making a lot of calls into Alberta.

I got the same call i reported them to several different departments! Hope it helps.

Got the same call here in Nova Scotia. I had a lot of fun with the idiot. He told me that there were warnings coming from my computer. I knew this was a scam and told him that, and not terribly politely. I asked for my IP but he didn't have that but made up this huge "ID" number. I asked him for my OS and he guessed that (I do use a Windows 7 box for a few things). I hung up on him and the guy had the gall to call me back and tell me that the call was being recorded so my vulgarities directed as him were on record. I asked if he was calling from India and he said no but said some name I couldn't understand. Sounded like 'Sudan' LOL. I asked him who my ISP was and he couldn't tell me. He always insisted that he wasn't trying to sell me anything. He warned me that he had partial information about me but I repeatedly asked what it was but he had no response. I asked what the "warnings' my computer was sending out were and he rambled off gibberish, including "yellow errors". In the first call he said he was calling from Computer [something], but in the second call he said he was calling from Dell. I told him I don't own a Dell. He also told me that he wasn't just calling be out of the blue. After some more impolite language on my part I hung up and he gave up.

Saying they are from "Windows Provider"  lol    I called their BS  right away.

I actually recorded this scam LOL :) and I'm an IT professional and they stated my ID was showing that I had issues and this is how they could tell I had a virus. I asked for the ID number and this is what the person on the other end gave me... 888DCA60-FC0A-11CF-8F0F-00C04FD7D062 (if you get this call ask for your ID number and record it) cause when they call again ask for it again and if it doesn't match or if you know of others with the SAME ID number they are trying to eff you over! I played with this fella for about 7 mins before I informed him I am an IT professional. I think I pissed him off and then I hung up after I told him I was contacting the Media.

This is a scam.  I live in Alberta, Canada and called the RCMP and was advised that this is a scam from India.  They call to tell you that you have a virus on your computer and that they will help you get rid of it.  They ask for access to your computer to remove the virus.  Once granted, they hijack your computer and demand payment of $100.00 to remove the protocol they install on your computer.  Just hand up.

That number just called here. I answered, but got no response.

Have had that scam call me in the past. Had a little fun with them ;)

Persistant caller from windows technical support ant access to my computer.  Informed him I've heard of scams like thismbut was insistent this was no scam.  Eventually just ignored him and hung up.
