I am getting these calls on my home phone. I did pick up today since I was at home, sounds like a computer in the background. No one says anything. I am not answering these quirky calls from this number again!

This number called and said that they were with Microsoft and I have corrupt files - am I the owner and operator of the computer?  I started being a smarty to them and he said - mam, you talk too much.  So I kinda went off.  Told him take my number off.  Tried number back and says it is disconnected.

saw it was from San Antonio TX and let the answering machine get it.. they hung up.

received voice message from this number today with no name, no company just a msg saying 'informing you your pre-paid mastercard is locked due to suspicious activity" and to press '1' to unlock the card.  I do not have a pre-paid mastercard.  This scam/robo calls are rampant now.  Any number I don't recognize, I do not pick up.  Getting scam calls from Florida, TX, CA, Wash DC, Virginia area codes and who knows where the calls actually originates from.  Simple, don't pick up if you don't recognize number.

Called and said my computer was sending a virus, SCAM, lets get a class action lawsuit going! Caller ID TEXAS

I commit a typing mistake with the second phone number! The scammers phone number is +1 (646) 457-4289.
It is NOT the +1 (646) 657-4289.

Receive a call from this number (+1-210-280-8487) first. I answered the phone and there was an answering machine saying "Good bye". I felt it was suspicious, so I looked and found this page and read all recommendations, remembering Elaine and TD advice. 2 days after I received another call, but from another phone number +1 (646) 657-4289. They are changing the tactic, because are the same people; a person with accent (this one was a woman). She start telling me that they got error messages from my Windows computer. I told her that I had many computers, and asked her which one. I knew that she was trying to scam me, so I wanted to find information about her and made her many questions. I start asking her about the computer and errors. She told me that the errors were coming from my Windows 7, and I told her I have no Windows 7. but I continued asking questions to find more information about her, until she figured it out and hang up.

caller said windows was reporting problems with my computer. he asked if I was sitting in front of my computer, I asked him where he was calling from , he said Brooklyn , caller ID said Texas , he immediately hung up

I get allow from this number at least once a week telling me to turn my computer on because they need to help me get rid of a virus.  Today, the man who called (with a nearly incomprehensible East Asian accent) said I have a computer  virus.  I asked him to put my name on his company's do not call list and not to call again.  He said I had not the paid the $10 fee to have my number taken off his call list. I said there is no such practice as having to pay a company NOT to call me.  I asked what company he was calling from.  He started swearing at me, made a couple of unbelievably profane comments and eventually hang up.  Can't some agency stop this nonsense?

Oh, forgot to add, when you call back you get a recording saying "you've reached a non working number"!

I get a call from this number every day, they never identify themselves and tell me my computer has a virus.  With the variety in the above posts isn't anyone from the FCC or whatever useless government agency is out there looking into this?  

We have gotten many calls saying we have something wrong w/r computer..we get rid of them..  This time, this phone # said, US Gov was giving me $25,000....   Yeah right !!  beware..

This # called this am.  Said US Gov was giving me $25,000.  I laughed & hung up.  They immediately called back on diff. phone line..  Said US Gov giving me $25,000. because I had never been arrested !!  I told them they were ridicious !!  Looks like they try any and ever scam in the book!!

That man is trying to give people a virus don't do anything that he says. Just tell him he's going to get reported for trying to give people a virus on their computer.

Third call in a few weeks. He said in a very foreign voice that he can tell that I am having computer trouble and wants to walk me thru fixing it. I tell him every time no thanks not interested and I hang up. Your right he always calls around 3 or 4 in the evening when you are busy. Soooo irritating. I wish I could block him, surely there is a way to do that, with all the technology out there.

Man with foreign accent called from 210-280-8487 saying he was calling about my computer and error messages sent to Windows. He didn't say he was from Microsoft (mistake 1) just from "windows". I have no mentioned my computer to anyone nor have I reported any issues and reports to Microsoft for feedback help is turned off. Scam alert! Trying to steal identity information. I threatened to call the police and hung up.

I received a call tonight from the 210-280-8487 number and the caller said my windows computer was dialing into a windows global server and they wanted me type in a command prompt in the "Windows Run" dialog box.  I asked them if they were with Microsoft, Barracuda, etc. and they said they were with Windows IT department.  I told them I would send my network administrator an email to let him know what they were asking me to do, they said he would know what they were referring to; supposedly, they were going to take me to a screen that would show my error codes.  I finally told them I would not do as they asked since they could be anyone attempting to get into my computer, they hung up on me.

Called about 6:30 PM.  No one on the line.  Hung up after a few seconds.  Get a life!  Get a real job!  

Just got a call from this number.  Caller ID showed "TEXAS."  The man on the other line said something about calling from Microsoft and Windows tech support, saying that they're company computer was showing a critical failure and viruses (or something, I don't know the technical jargon he threw at me) on my home computer.  As he was calling, I typed the number into whocalls me and 800notes.  When I realized it was a scam, I hung up.  He immediately called again, and as soon as I answered, I said that I did not believe him and that I would report the number to donotcall.gov.

Called 5/19/14 @9:31 AM PST. Since we get a lot of these ROBO calls, we don't answer the phone, unless we know who is calling, and let people leave a message. You know it's a fraud when they don't leave a message. Unfortunately our politicians wont put any teeth in law banning these calls and the equipment they use )worthless people).

The FBI is a Federal agency...why would you assume they will work for you?  The sad truth:  THEY WON'T!

Got a call from this number tonight. Answered the call and waited for "the operator to come on the line to tell (me) how to lower my credit card interest rate." I believe they called themselves "Card Services." So, I let the guy come on the line and he asked me if I was interested in lowering my interest rate. I said (in a twangy southern drawl) "Yeah, I sure wuuuud." He asked if I had a credit card. I said "Yeah, and I'd love to get your credit card too, but I declared bankruptcy about two weeks ago. CLICK. I love when these guys call. I keep them on the line as long as I can (which costs them money and time), and I screw with their heads by saying whatever pops into mine! I kept one little Indian boy (yes, from India) on the line for about 15-minutes one night and almost had my mother peeing on herself she was laughing so hard! Don't get mad, get even!

Called and said they were microsoft os support.    Calling is more frequent even though i've informed them i do do Microsoft or computers.

Call from 2102808487 is fraudulent.  Claims calling on behalf of MS Windows and wants to get you to turn over control to their system.  Definitely trying to infiltrate households of naive PC users.  Stay away, block block block.

I received phone calls from Texas 210 280 8487 and 210 301 0307 but from Virginia 703 272 4699, 703272 4700 too and the famous 123-456-7890(Skype) every single day for the last 2 months.The speakers are all Indians from India and it does not matter what I am telling them, they keep calling. One day I asked him: " What do you really want?" The answer was" 10,000 dollars".
I said.. I am opening an investigation, I call FBI. They didn't care, next day they called again.
Maybe we should call the FBI. This is unacceptable situation . It is a network for a big SCAM to hack our computers and of course with that everything else. The most important thing is to find out who sold our phone numbers or what they hack into, to find them.

Said they were Microsoft support and were going to help me with viruses that I was down loading without my knowledge. I asked who they were and the voice said Tech Plaza. when I questioned them they disconnected.

Got a call from 210-280-8487 with the same story about a virus.  Told them if they wanted me to even believe they were legit to transfer me to an operator in the US (you can do that with all of these calls).  They claimed to be transferring but the background sounds never changed at all.  I hung up.
