has anyone had any problems with there accounts after the phone call?

Just got a call from a very rude guy at 210-280-8488 Texas.  This is a business so he demanded to speak to the owner.  I am the owner, but I do not play these games.  He asked me again and then, in an irate tone, said he would call back and speak to my boss about this.  He hung up.

Got a phone call from them. I am in the PA and Federal DNC lists.

I get calls at least 2-3 times per week from 1-210-280-8488 on my newly acquired/registered TELUS cellular and to date I have not picked up.  I reside in Chilliwack, BC(outside of Vancouver). After several calls I did a little research and learned that this area code is Texas.  Since my cellular account is so new it's very disappointing to learn that "someone" is probably selling out TELUS cell numbers to telemarketers who appear to have no life or conscience.  Very annoying and bothersome since I use my phone all day for business and find myself always screeing calls because these idiots!!

left a message saying they were process servers inc or something close to that....anyway, said they had documents to serve me at my home or office and that I could call them back to tell them where to serve me or dispute the docs.....blah blah blah

210.280.8488 is harrassing me on a daily basis. Can anything be done about this? I would like to see cruel and unusual punishment made constitutional for crimes of scumbaggery and petty malfeasance.

we received a call two days ago and they wanted to know if our power was alright, my husband hung up and they continued to call. They called us about 22 times within an hour, they still continue to call 4-5 times a day, however we do not answer the phone anymore. They were threatening and rude do not answer a call from these guys. They also would say hello, hello, hello, hello, hello or la la la la and that is all they would say for the lenght of the conversation.

Received a call from this number this afternoon on my cell, didn't answer and no voice mail left. I almost want to them to call back so I can play with their mind the way some have done, the chinese pen this was the best by far! lol  I won't though, don't want to make these morons mad and have them share my number with all their moron friends.

" Do Not Call List " Seems to me that the aforementioned list is only applicable in the country the law was legislated.  It also seems to me that guys like Magic jack and hundreds of other VOIP operators could be anywhere on the PLANET calling you....why would they worry about a "do not call list".   Think outside of the box folks...times have changed..technology has changed but scammers will alway. ALWAYS be scammers.

Be smart,  buy online from reputable stores, use paypal...and if it looks too good to be true...well guess what cupcake, it likely is.!

I always get calls from this number, I never answer anymore because when I answered the first time it was some scam automated message saying I won a free cruise ticket.

Don't answer your phone if you don't recognize the number OR the Area Code.
Once you answer the phone, they've got you in their program and will continue to Harrass you.

Call your phone provider about this and they will help you.
They will tell you what you can do to Block them.
If you email your phone provider, they will email you back with the proper instructions on how to block them. (You can print out the instructions for later use, should you need them)

What works for me is:
Dial *60  -  Press 3   -  Hit #  -  Dial the number you are Blocking.
If it's a Long Distance Number MAKE SURE you Dial 1 and the Area Code first, then the number you are blocking.

When you're done - press #

You're Done
It works for me.

This is a number for vacation tele-marketing company.  Also, recieved a call from 210-280-8487.

One good thing to do is, always look at the Call Display - if you have Call Display, and look at the Area Code (it shows up on your Call Display).

If you Do Not recognize the Area Code, or Know Anyone from that Area Code - DO NOT Answer the Phone. They will Never leave a message.

As soon as you answe the phone, you connect with them and they will continue to call you back and annoy the hell out of your nerves. If you check the Area Code and it's Not familiar to you - DO NOT Pick up the reciever - Don't answer the phone unless you know the person who is calling.

I won't even do business with my bank on the phone unless I make the call to Them.

Have you tried calling Phone Busters?
Several years ago i got a phone call from someone (before I had Call Display) who told me I had won a fair ampount of money, and of course I was excited about that. He told me, before I could claim my prize I'd have to send them $800.?? Some odd dollars to recieve my prize.

I told him I'd ahve to think about it, and he said he'd call me back. He called me back and when I told him i didn"t have that kind of Money, he got all upset and started shouting at me. I asked him if this was how they treated their winners? He calmed down and agreed that he could call me back in an hour.

I Hung up the phone .... But I phoned the Local Police IMMEDIATELY, and they told me to call Phone Busters (like Ghost Busters), and together we made plans to set up a phone tap.
The guy phone back in an hour, I did exactly as the Police told me to do, and together we caught them. They were working out of Ontario. DONE! That one anyway.

I get about a call every two weeks. So annoying!!!!!!

Today is January 18, 2012.  I received two (2) calls so far today from this number and both times when I picked up the phone and said hello, the phone disconnected.  So I don't know who it was or what it was about.  Then I went on this search engine, and came to this site.  Thank you all so much for letting me know that it is SPAM SPAM SPAM!

I keep getting calls from this number, when i pick up its a cruise ship horn going off in the  background with birds and sound of ocean saying i have won a cruise package. I laugh every time and hangup! I try to call back the number and give them hell but it says number not in service, because they are using a system showing a different number than the one they are actually calling from. Ill find out where you are eventually ;)
