Just got a call from this number - They are doing the Microsoft Windows Technical Support Scam.....don't answer any questions....don't get hooked...They want access to your computer.

They got me on this one too.  Said they were from Windows Technolgy a Microsoft Windows technical support. They said that they had been receiving reports from my computer and my computer was alerting them with messages of error and virus messages on my computer.  They me asked me if I was in front of my computer, which I said I did not have. There was a man with an indian acent and then a supervisor who said that I did have a computer and that they needed to access my computer. They both sounded like they were from India.  phone numbers are 210-301-0307 shows up to be from TX and last week I was contacted by a similar group from 210-280-8487. What is scarry is that they had my name and number.

Received a call from Caller ID: Texas and phone number 210-301-0307 saying they were from Microsoft and helping me with technical problems. They asked me to open up a general settings window because I had many 'viruses' and I had already done a full scan with Norton security.This is a scam! Don't give out information or simply don't answer!

Wow!  Are these guys STUPID--as well as annoying.  I played the trick on the guy where I tell him, "Oh, you're the computer technician? Wait, let me turn on the computer" and then I make him wait endlessly.  You'd think they'd get it, right?  Nope!!  They have fallen for the trick no less then 5 times!  Finally, on the fifth time, the guy hung up after 12 minutes, then called me and said, "Do you think this is some kind of a joke?"  I said, "No, what's going on?  Every time I tell you to wait you hang up.  The computer is on the 3rd floor!!! I have to walk all the way up there.  Now hang on, OK."  So after twenty minutes, whereby I do my work in peace, I pick up the phone and said, "OK, it's on.  Now let me turn the other one on!"  And I literally went and walked the dogs, only to find him still on the phone.  

I couldn't take it anymore and said, "Hey, guess what, it works now! Thanks anyway." and hung up.  

But no, it doesn't stop there.  He called back and asked why I hung up.  I said, "Yes, I fixed the problem.  You see, there's a switch on the power strip, and I just found out that unless that switch is on, the computer won't turn on. So, I solved the problem.  But thanks again!"  

I swear he still thinks he's going to make a sale.

Thank you'all for the information about the 210-301-0307 phone number.   It has been duly blocked.   Might I alert you to something that happened this morning.   We just got back from a week's trip and I was checking the Caller ID when a call came in that showed my husband's name and our phone number!   I answered it and a recording came on with the information that our credit account was fine, but they could offer lower interest rates if I pressed No. 9.    Usually the scammer uses a name such as "Lower Interest," which number immediately gets blocked.    Since they used our phone number, I cannot block it.  This is new low in telemarketing scams.   Be careful.  If one company can manipulate numbers, others will surely do so.

Me too! They just called me. Builders Square hasn't been in my town since the late 1980's. I didn't answer, and they didn't leave a message.

Received a call that I had a problem with my Windows machine.  I said "really, my Windows machine?" then they hung up.
Clearly an auto-dialer, then transfer to call center agent in a far away land.

Idiot woman called me saying I needed to go to my computer because it was sending malware all over the place. I told her I wasn't near my computer but she kept insisting I go to the computer. She also said she was with Microsoft in Texas. I told her we would call her back and asked how late would they be open. She said "always open". What a joke.

Received a call from 210-301-0307 someone called and when answered a machine says goodbye.

The purpose is they want to hack your computer and steal personal info, with your help,

Just got a call from this number. Caller ID reads "Texas". They said something I couldn't understand (very thick accent) in a question asking fashion and I hung up. Got another call today from a random person too...hrmm.

I received a call from 210-301-0307. It came us pas Builders Square. The foreign woman stated she was a Windows analyst and that my computer had numerous infections. She needed my windows ID  and for me to sit in front of my PC. I told her that this was clearly a scam and that I was immediately calling the police

I received a call from these clowns today, they said they received error messages from my computer and they were from Microsoft, they asked me to log on to my computer and go through some steps for them as they would remedy the problem for me. Knowing this was a scam I kept them on the line for 44 mins and asked them to speak to Bill Gates,lol  eventually they cursed me out and hung up. DO NOT log on to your computer for these clowns it is a total scam!!!

Got a call 5/23/14 at 8:14 pm.  Person stated he sold prescription drugs.  I had to say hello 5-6 times before a man with an accent stated he had prescription drugs and I hung up on him

Received call which hung up on my voicemail.  Number blocked.

I got a call from this number> The caller called himself George and he said that they are getting messages from my computer. He asked me was I on my computer, I said no. He asked me could I go to my computer, I said I will not. He asked was I busy, I said yes. I hung up and called the number back the line was busy. Called this morning at 6:30 a.m. the line was busy. Please people please careful and past this scam information on to our love ones.

Not sure who this call came from.  I had to say "hello" a few times until a woman responded back.  I said, "hello" again and she hung up. RUDE.  When I tried to call it back, the message received said that my call could not be completed.  So of course I tried to call the same number from my cell phone and when I did, I received a busy/disconnected signal.

I don't know how she got my phone number when it's supposed to be unlisted.

Just called one of my house lines. I answered it, not knowing if it was for business or not, and I got that dead sound - then the call center noise came through.

I was greeted by my last name and he said he was calling for some MS fundraiser. I hung up.

Answered and no one was there.  Tried calling back and it continued to ring.

Received a call from this number as I was getting into my car.  My garage phone doesn't have caller ID so I answered.  The caller said they were calling from Dell Technical Support and advised that they have been receiving error messages from my computer.  I quizzed the guy (Indian) and he had my name and address.  He walked me through bringing up the event log on my computer and pointed out all of the error messages.  He then wanted to transfer me to a senior Tech it remedy the errors.  So, thought "what the heck...let's see where this goes".  
The senior tech came on the line and wanted to connect to my computer.  He claimed he was from Microsoft Windows Support.  While I was chatting with him, I looked up his number on 800Notes and saw all of the comments made by other users and promptly hung up on him and blocked his number.
This site is awesome.  It gives us a fighting chance to properly identify who we are dealing with.  The other day, I got a call and the caller ID gave my full name and phone number as the caller.  I had to see what that was about so I answered and guess who....."Hello, this is Rachael from Card Services".  They will try anything to get through to you!

I keep getting calls from this Indian individual wanting me to go and sit in front of my computer.  Says that they (Microsoft) are receiving alarms that something is wrong with my computer.  I told him no, he got nasty and threatened that my computer is going to crash.  I told him I would take that chance.  I have received three  calls from him, the last one he was very nasty.

Support SCAM. Microsoft had many errors from my machine, Ha.
He wanted me to connect to ammyy and give him control of my PC.   How dumb do they think we are?

Caller ID displayed this number and "Builders Square" (an old supplier for Home Depot).  

Voice said he was calling from Microsoft Support about a computer problem.  Said his name was Michael Smith; call back # 888-272-5003.  I tried this--ringback tone was British Empire (India, I think); answering voice sounded Indian.
