Just received a call from this number, it is Sinclair Customer Metrics, a mystery shop company that I do business with.  My guess is the got this number in the last year or so.  It is a good company.

It's an annoying scam.  They operate out of various San Antonio and Houston phone numbers, e.g 210-338-1105.  Don't give money to them.  Block their calls.

They just called and asked for my wife and I said she was unavalible. He then said "I'll call back later" and hung up. I called it back and it's a generic voice mail line. I saw above that it was a state trooper fund, which makes sense since she falls for that.

they called Just about midnight new years eve (12/31/10).  4 O'Clock in the afternoon on 1/1/11, and the 4 AM THIS MORNING, Then again about 1 hour ago (8pm 1/2).  

Each time it is a recorded voice that says "please hold as we try and connect you", but then hangs up / disconnects after a few clicks / seconds.

I finally put it on *60 block after reading about it

we have been getting the calls for about a week now, one at 2am this morning and again this afternoon.  its crazy and no way to fix it.  it wakes the baby up and the whole house.

call harrassement at all hours

I have about 4 calls on my called ID from 2103381105. When I answer no one is there. This is so annoying.

It's my understanding they approach the State Troopers (or other law enforcement agency) and offer to raise "X" amount of $$ for them... ex: $50,000.  Doesn't cost the Troopers anything.  They just want to be able to collect $$ on Troopers behalf.  Once they meet the goal, They get anything over that!  That's why they are so assertive.

If you really want to help out State Troopers or any law enforcement agency, deal directly with that agency!

Same thing here, calls throughout the day including early in the morning. Pickup anf get "Please wait while we connect you" and then nothing.

Has anybody recieved any answers on their posts?   I am getting calls from this same number at least once a day.  If anyone knows how to stop this scam........please let me know.

Where do we report it?

They keep calling me and noone is on the other end when I pick up.  I called the nback and got the recording that the mailbox is full.  They have called my home at 3am on Thursaday and 8am today, Sunday.

Got a call at 5:43am from the same number.

I have received calls from 210-338-1105 all hours of the day and night. My favorite was the one at 3:45am! If I let the machine get it there is just a dial tone recorded, if I answer it then I get a message that says, "Please hold while we try to connect your call," and when I called the number back I got a voicemail that says that the voicemail box is full. How do I make this stop!

We are getting the same call with "please wait while we connect you" message.  Then nothing.  This morning the call came at 3:00 am.  Now I type this number into google and find out that many more are getting the same call.  Who knows how many more - could be thousands.  Conveniently, this website pops up in the search and has an ad offfering a reverse phone look up (for a fee of course).  Coincidence?  Or someone making money by harrasing people with senseless phone calls?  I smell a rat.

Keeps calling and says wait while we connect you.  Phone goes dead.  This time was 4 am.

We have been getting this call for months,  how do we get our number off their list. Tonight they called at 1:25 am I dont know caller company because when I answer it a  automated message that said hold on to connect the call.

Just got a call from this number.  It's 12:38am.  I didn't answer it because I didn't recognize the number, and there was no name on the CID.  I very rarely use my landline, and people I know would call on my cell phone.

it is 11:10pm and I just got a call from this number! Woke me up from a dead sleep, only to hear a recording say "wait while we connect you"..then hung up on me! $%%%^!!

they call almost everyday...this morning they called at 6:30 a.m.!!!!!! not cool!!!!! and then called again just now....around 8:30 p.m.    Don't know how to get them to stop calling!

MY NUMBER NEVER GETS USED AND NOBODY IS SUPPOSED TO KNOW IT.  YET I GET CALLS ALL THE TIME ON IT

They keep calling and hanging up when you answer.
When you call back the recording says the person at that extention is unavailable. This caller calls at least three times a week.

Got a call a few minutes ago. Happy that I was in the bathroom when the call rang. After reading the above comments, I would missed out on some fun.

210 338 1105 called me today begging money for Texas State Troopers. I told "Martin" to remove me from the list immediatly. He just hung up. If you call back the malibox is full. Scam!!!! Since when does the Texas State Troopers beg for money?

This is not the first time the Texas State Troopers' call center has phoned at dinner time.  Previously their agent nagged me and attempted moral blackmail until I agreed to receive mailed information from them.  Then an agent called again to nag and I told them to take my name of their call list and to never call again.  I should have asked them what percentage of the funds raised actually go to the State Troopers' Fund and how much the call center takes!

I got the same call today.  You call it back and get a vm recorded message saying their unavailable

Just got a call, said he was with the Texas State Troopers...told him I was not interested just like when they called last week :)

Just got a call on work phone from some jerk saying something about State Troopers, wanting me to commit to a pledge. I told him he could send out some materials but that I needed to get back to work but this jerk kept right on, "Oh well, the material isn't that attractive, we just want to know if we can count on your pledge ...blah, blah, blah...". I interrupted him to say that I truly needed to get back to work & this loser just hangs up on me! ...Not that I was going to give him any info let alone $$$!!!
