I called CPS.
They are testing their new alert system by calling
the home or cell numbers of customers.
The new system will notify folks of upcoming service outages.

I had the same thing happen to me, i know they are doing some alert tests, as i got an e mail today also.

Just received a call from that number. I imagined it could be CPS Energy, but nobody answered.  I guess it was because I took too long to answer -trying to figure out who it might be.  No message, either. My bill is paid, so I wonder what the call was for.

This is CPS energy alert. They call from this number when they are expecting a major power outage in the area. it's just a notification. However, when i answered....there was no msg, no person. I only found the other info out by googling the phone number.
