Just got a call from this number, they were asking about a former neighbor at a former residence. At first I didn't know who they were talking about, until they gave me the address, then I told them we never talked and he was a grumpy old man, the lady, named Melissa, that called me laughed and then hung up.

This number now belongs to Conn's collection dept.  If you a day late in making a payment, this number, along with a few others similar to it start calling.  My account is current but there are a few times that my due date falls a day after I get paid.  I always pay it, but this place starts calling the very next day.  Very annoying actually.  There is a 10 day grace period so they really shouldn't do that.  Oh well...I only have around 6 more payments and I'll be done w/them.

I received a call from this number. I did not answer. Then I *67 the number and a man answered "Home Services this is Jake". I then hung up. Use to receive endless calls from these people. The "services" they are offering is for residents of TX. I have never lived in TX, I am several states away. Fools.

I received a call no answer and called back and it is a service called New Home Services, they sale home security alarms

These people have been calling my house for a long time, but never leave a message.  Today, against my better judgement I answered.  Some fast talking man said something similar to "the troopers are starting their Don't Drink and Drive campaign.  We will send you an envelope for your donation.  How much can they troopers count on you for support?"  He talked so fast I said, "What do you want me to do??"  Then I said no thank you and hung up.  He never said what troopers he was supposedly representing or even what state.  Their was no name attached to the caller ID, only a phone #.

received a call today, 9/13/12, at 6:27 pm.  Didn't answer.  Googled number and read these reports.

My phone had not rang all day...at 11:41 a man callled for someone I don't know and we ended our call. 1 min later they called blocked and made weird noises. I hang up. Then seconds later they call and the same voice in Spanish told me he was coming over here to rape me. And so many other things. I told him  he was an idiot for calling and that I was screening his call dumbass. He hung up real quick.

This number called...asked for someone that doesnt live at my household. Seconds later they called blocked aain and they make weird noises. I hang up and again they called blocked and some hispanc guy tells me that he is going to rape me and teach me a thing or two ...it was the same voice .

This gomer called me a couple of days ago, I wasn't home.  But the next time they call, I will record it, and post it on youtube and tell them I am doing that.  If they say it is illegal to do so, I will say come get me! I can't wait to do another youtube segment! I will remind them of incidents where people where harrassed for filming, and finally get to stick it to them!!!  Hope they call me back when I am home!!! Might cuss them out!

Got a call today.  They did not leave a message.  Thanks to this thread I added it to my blocked callers.  No more calls from these Scammers.

I answered the phone to this number and it was a guy asking for Fernandez. I replied that this was the Molina family who is this and the guy answered doesn't matter and hung-up.

Calls almost every day.  Tried to call back, recorded message told me I was not calling from the phone number they called.  Message left on answering machine lasts three minutes, with an operator who says " if I am trying to make a call please hang up and dial again."  Then a horrible repeating noise lasts for almost three minutes.  Can't get them to go away.

This is a total and complete scam. I have gotten calls from these scoundrels for years. I have moved & switched phone numbers - still get calls. They are not legit. Read the lawsuit and you will be even more disgusted at the utter, total and complete waste of generosity that was given them. Cars, trips, cash - all treated as their own personal back accounts. While an actual True TX state troopers widow never received the $10,000 benefit they claim to send to every fallen officer's family. It wasn't until they were "audited" by the Attorney General's Office 6 years after the fact that they "notice" this & contact her. What an insult. Disgusting that they aren't criminally prosecuted. The one thing that I wonder is why aren't the TX State Troopers/Highway Patrol more up in arms over these low-lifes giving them a bad name & scamming off their sacrifice? You must report to the OAG to make them aware that these scammers are still up & running despite the legal orders to cease & desist.

Received call from 210-423-6589. Caller ID said "San Antonio TX". When the answering machine came on, the caller hung up.

I have comcast for my home phone service and can log onto my account and under the preferences tab select call screening.  I can then block up to 12 numbers and any private or unknown number by clicking that box.  My cell phone is Sprint and I can do the same on my account and block up to 99 numbers for calls or text messages.  

While it does not stop the telemarketers, it will prevent them from calling your number any longer, when they call they get a message that states this caller is not accepting calls at this time, and your phone never rings from them again.  Try it.

I answered and it was a man claiming to be with Texas Paralyzed Veterans not DPS. Scheduled a pick-up of things we do not mind giving away. June 29th early in the morning.

Very very aggressive scamsters.  I'm totally stunned these guys aren't near the top of law enforcements top 10 list.  I wrote Greg Abbot, attorney general, via email that his restraining order is being violated.

I just received a call from this number.  The man was incredibly rude.  When I told him the decision would be up to my husband, he told me I needed to take some personal responsibility and make a decision for myself.  He ask me if we were having financial trouble I told him we were paying for college for 3 kids.  His response was that we must be blessed and should pledge the money.  He was a total jerk.  I hope they find him and teach him about "personal responsibility."

This is definitely a scam my family also gets the call & when they say .. my sons a deputy or my nephew's a police officer they strutted and promptly hang up. Have a family member (Retired Tx Ranger)

They called my home phone yesterday. Caller id said from S.a Tx, when I answered I heard someone in the background and they then hung up.

this number calls my house, up to three times a day. they never leave a message on the answering machine. when i am home and see this number pop up on my caller id, i pick it up and hang it up immediately.

I just got a call from these guys and asked for me. He knew my name and everything. He said it something about child support payments. But I have no kids. This is weird.

I continue to get calls from this number. Someone said hello and then it seemed like i was being connected to an automated ystem. I hung up. Did not get the name or agency of the caller. Annoying!!!

He is not from Tx DPS.  I questioned him three times about what he was calling for and who he was and all he kept saying was " Mr, or Mrs---------?"  Hello some people like to know who is calling before they acknowledge who they are.  Jerk hung up.

call from 210-424-6589.  Caller ID said "San Antonio Texas"  When I answered it was a telemarketer/soliciter who said it was a "statewide appeal" from the Texas State Troopers Association.  This is not a legitimate organization and has nothing to do with Texas law enforcement
