Another group of scamers   who won't take no for a call. Anyone who has a
land line is now being harassed by trash like this because our government
could care less.  You can put your phone on do not call list but this so called non-profit
can call you all they want.....Sucks!

The trucks that pick up your donations are plain white trucks, no charity name written on them.
They call all day, every day. They ask you to write the word 'Charity' on the box. What charity does this go to? I will drop my things off at a registered charity for now on. Maybe give the box to a homeless person under a bridge.

They call all the time and I never answer. They are very annoying

Thinking about getting the local media involved in this situation. I too get calls daily and from the research I've done about this, something certainly seems fishy.

That's funny I work there... blanca is the store manager at one of the locations(pecan valley & goliad). Its very well a profit organization... donated stuff that isn't sold is simply discarded IMPROPERLY in the trash... isabel is more of an assistant manager of the store... the whole management of this orginization is all for lack of a better term.. a bunch of bull s***...

Calls all times of Day and night.  Says Clothing Donate.  I have asked them 100's of time to take my name off their list and they wont.

These f**** have called 3-5 times a week for 6 years now -- Six GD years and I have never done business with them --

This people are constantly calling for donation.  Please have them stop.

I get calls from them all the time under ID "Unknown".  I do not answer unknown and anonymous caller ID's..
If you have call block feature on the phone, it is good to use it. I have a whole bunch of numbers blocked.!! .

Moved to San Antonio 11 mos. ago. Have been receiving calls from clothing donate ever since. Number on no call list does no good. No longer answer this number when on caller ID. Something should be done to eliminate this outfit from annoying everone.

They have also called me far too many times wanting donations and I just ignore their calls.  They call two times a day sometimes and at the most inopportune times...often very late at night as others have reported.
I even went so far as to block some of their numbers but that didn't faze them as they seem to have untold numbers at their disposal.  At one point, I maintained a record of their calls and reported them to the Texas Attorney General's Office but to no avail.  Still receiving their calls.  Are we to put up with their "annoyances" indefinitely or can some official agency take action to curb their existence?

I get two three calls from this number on a daily basis, its almost harassment.. Soemtimes they are a minute apart

I also live in Austin. I got 2 calls back to back but I never answered. I blocked them through TWC and hope that I'll never get a call from them again.

I'm past volunteer and staff at the San Antonio (area code 210) chapter, which VERY SELDOM takes "in kind" (clothing, supplies, other non-monetary) donations.  Monetary donations better serve the Chapter's needs, as items provided in disaster relief efforts need to be new, not used.  

So those who posted above  (Tampa, FL, Oct. 2010) were right to be suspicious.  Although it's old news, I'm forwarding a link to this forum to my contact at the SA chapter.

Call several times a day for the last several months.  Never leave a msg and if the call is answered there is no one there.

They continue to call us all the time

These comments regarding the "Clothing Donate" Nuisances are enlightening since I have been receiving calls from them, whomever, off & on for Years... Since they were always so annoyingly Persistent  I suspected they were Scammers, and Never answered their calls..   Oh Sure, they will remove your name from their calling list if you ask them to.. or,  just depend on the dnc list..  lol.

These people recently started calling my number again, frequently.. Too Bad I just gave away some good items to the Salvation Army, and to ARC.   And have some like new, Clothing Donations ready to take to the local Women's Shelter..

When they call (very regularly) I pick up the phone and put it down on the desk and let them listen to whatever is going on at our house and tie up THEIR line for a while.  Don't know how long they stay on, because I never even put my ear to the phone.....just hang up after a while.

Unfortunately, it hasn't really deterred them, but it makes me feel better!

We are on the no call list so please take us off your call list. We have had about 6 calls already this week and am sick of it so please stop.

I called the store and was told that Isabel Cano was the "Donations Department" manager. The person I spoke with, Barbera, took my name and number and said that she would pass my number along to have it removed. We'll see what happens.

The local store person who is in charge of this is Blanca Garza. I suggest eveybody call her at the store number - 431 3700 - at least ten times a day. The Corporate office is in Houston - 713.699.4733 - and is also called Family Thrift Center; They told me San Antonio has its own call center and that number is 210-333-0055. If you call this number you go right back to the store an Blanca. Houston also told me that they are doing this as a nonprofit and admitted freely that they are a profit organization. Whenever you all have time call all these people as often as possible -  this besides reporting them to everyone...

It's one of those clothing donation outfits that sends a truck around.
