I have not received another call but I will tell you at first it scared me. I do not owe anyone anything and here they are telling me I committed fraud. We will see what happens. I will keep this updated because I know how you feel and would of love others to repost what happened to them after a few days.

I have received this call for two days. So if I just disregard everything, will they go away? I do not owe any money to these people. They are telling me I have until 5:00 p.m. to pay this money or I will be arrested.

Today I got a phone call from a man I could barely understand he says his name is Andrew smith. He said after he pressed a button on his computer I would be arrested at 12:30 today, my drivers license would be suspended and they were calling my employer to let them know I commit fraud. They are claiming a took out a payday loan anywhere from 2 months to 3 years ago. When I started asking him questions he freaked out yelling at me and said I could ask the officers when they arrive to get me. No one showed up, I went to my local police department and played them the voicemail and explained what the man told me. He ran my license, which had no suspension and he told me it was more than likely a scam. I contacted my attorney that told me the state dept would issue a summons for you to appear in court, you would be served. They are not open on Saturdays. The thing that scares me most is they have ALL my personal information. My day was ruined today by these people, it wasted my time and money.

Hello, I was recently contacted by this number and the person told me that I read being sued and that I needed to call the number to find out what it was about.

I need to end this harassing calls from this number. How do I do that?

I applied for payday loans so I think that is why I am receiving these calls. I also received this call today.
I placed myself on the Do Not Call Registry so hopefully it works.

I blocked the other number which was 469-737-9513 from my phone so now they're using this number.
They provide a different name every time also.  

I was thinking about giving them a number connecting them to New York State Department of Corrections to give them a subliminal message as to tell that's where they will end up if they keep messing with me, but I can't do that. It would make the situation worse.

I just got a call from the same number but have gotton cals from different numbers to saying i need to get an attorney or I'm going to jail in the next 24 hours . this is a scam there just trying to scare people out of money . This is the 3rd day they have called me and I'm getting sick of it. I've already talked to the police about this

I just recieved a call stating that someone has filed a lawsuit against me, but yet the minute I started asking questions, they got all wierd. He put me on hold and said he had to grab my file, I hung up. Gut feeling told me that is was some idiots up to no good.

I got the same call from the same ppl. Telling me good luck and I would be arrested for some BS I couldn't even understand a damn word this man was saying. His accent was so thick I couldn't make out over 2/3 of what he was trying to say. Ive had 2 calls from this number with threats of being arrested by night fall if I didn't cone up with money. Anyone else have these problems too?

We're quite sure you've been arrested before! But not for "this". Although "this" might get you arrested again!

I received the same phone call today saying I would be arrested at 9:45

yes they did the same thing to me and the guy was rude a** hell. ugh.

I just received the same call that i will be arrested within 30 minutes and that my employer will be terminating my employment.  The man is really hard to understand - sounds like he has an accent from India. He claims that i did not pay back a payday loan which is completely not true.  I was reading these posts as i was speaking with the so called "attorney".  He then transferred me to the restitution department and told me i had to be very polite and to pray to god that he would be able to resolve my case.  He explained that i would have to pay back something like 1158.00 dollars.

He then placed me on hold and i hung up.

This is a scam the call many different numbers. They are not even caling from the states. Don't give them any money.

thank you for sending your information. i have been receiving phone calls for the last 3 days per my husband and this morning i received one stating he was a paralegal for an atty named mike anderson at the same phone you have listed. i called it back due to the man had just woke me up and i was not awake enough to understand about what this litigation was. so when i called back it just rang and then went to a loud sounding machine. i just hung up..

i just got a call from this number. and they threatened me saying i need to get an attorney. and that if i didn't call them back the man on the voice mail said "God help you."

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Yes i just got the same call not once but seven times today, yesterday and the day before around the same times! The person i talked to was VERY RUDE and stated that he was from the attorney generals office. WOW THE GAMES PEOPLE PLAY ARE VERY DANGEROUS, I will be getting with my attorney on this one and i told them i will be waiting on the police when they get there! LOL  I'm the wrong one to play with like i said i will be putting this in writing with my attorney and have the numbers they have called me from the joke is now on them!!!!!!!!!! It is the wrong time especially on a Saturday to play with people about anything with a business call like this! I WILL PURSUE THIS MATTER TO THE FULLEST! Then on top of that we will see how the ball bounces!

well jenn luckily you were smart and didn't take the bait... unfortunately my daughter was defrauded out of 400.00 and when the local police notified this company and demanded they refund the money or fraud charges would be filed... they said the money would be returned.... ( it has been 3 days and still no money)...However they did call my daughter work place and say they were with the attorney generals office and that she going to be arrested for fraud and that the workplace should try and replace her...My daughter works in the healthcare field and has a state license... they also told her work that her state license were going to be revoked...so she would not be able to employed with them any further.... Thankfully her employers were wise enough to notify the states health department to see if anything was pending against the license.. my daughter already went to the police...and there really isn't anything they could do.. they said that everyone posting on this site needs to contact there attorney generals office and file a dispute with them... then all of need to find a lawyer and file a class action suite against them for unfair debt collecting practices... they are violating so many laws its unreal... but nothing can be done on the local level.. it needs to go threw the REAL attorney generals office...

I have not applied for anything online. I have not filled out any forms..I get 10+ calls a day from these people. They always ask for Gemma or Anthony. I repeatedly tell them they have the wrong number. I don't know anyone by that name. So they either hang up on me or tell me to put my name on the do not call registry..Which it is..I told them that. They aren't even looking for me the idiots..I'm now starting to get mail at my house addressed to Gemma or Anthony..It's really ticking me off!!! I have received 2-3 threatening voicemails on my phone for Gemma and I swear I'm going to lose it soon!!!!

I have gotten the same phone call the last 2 days. Yesterday I didn't think check it out online. But after dealing with it for 2 days today I decided my health can't take it a second day. I'm getting tired of these type of calls already. I think the next time they call I'm going to tell them I have their number and I will call the POLICE myself.

As all of you see, this phone call comes in shortly after you apply for loans online. These scam artists get a sold of our information and then call us and our jobs with their threatening messages. No creditor is going to arrest you for a debt owed, number 1. Number 2 who talks like these people do? SCAM- all the way across the board.

If this is a debt collector they are in direct violation of the FDCPA. A need ti be referred to all state and federal agencie for false representation of a state attorney and for threatening to call the poloce,abusive! Collection tactics and stating are going to sue when they have no grounds or intent to do so.

there is 3k in your pocket if someone has an attorney that wants to pursue a suit against them.

I got a call yesterday and they claimed the sherriff was to show up at my house in 45 minutes and that I was being sued and all this crap!
