How do I remove my cell phone no. from this call list?

That might work for you, but a lot of us own, or work for, companies that receive unknown callers many times a day. Some have their business calls forwarded to their home or cell phones. An illegal telemarketer can be a huge PITA. Businesses can't be on a DNC list. So, unwanted callers can be instructed to put you on their in-house DNC list. They will NEVER comply.
Telemarketers are a blight on society. One day the businesses that hire professional telemarketing firms will realize that they're shooting themselves in the a**. Until then we all have to be content with hating telemarketers & taking every opportunity to tell them what we think of them.

Why do people get angry when they get a call from an unknown number? Isn't is just as practical to just not answer the phone when you don't recognize the number?

Thanks for the tip re: blocking the call, I'll be using this feature regularly.  I have an iphone and it does have that feature.  For those interested, just hit the (i)nfo button in your call history and you'll see the option.

1pm - Received another call - they call almost every day at various times, I don't answer, they don't leave a message.  Thanks for the info - blocking the number now.

Well, I received my first free L A Times newspaper so it appears my earlier comments were not correct.

I was called a number of times and finally answered and the young lady thanked me for my L A Times  Sunday only subscription and offered free for the balance of the week and then confirmed my address.  I have not seen a single issue free yet of course.  Don't answer, just erase the number.

Well, today those jerks called me SEVEN TIMES, starting at 7:16 a.m. on a Saturday morning.  I was up, but not my husband, who had only been home from work 1 1/2 hours, trying to sleep.  I caught them on the first call, told them we DON'T accept their calls and they continued to call.. each of these times, I was hung up on..

I've gotten 3 calls so far from this number, no message.  One came on my birthday, annoying me to the hilt.  The ID said "Unknown Name."

I thought since it was a Texas area code, it was another one of AT&T's numbers from that area.  Seems from the above posts, it's a newspaper of some kind.  I'm in California, not Texas.

I'm on the Do Not Call list, so they are in violation of that.  But I have too much aggravation in my life now to deal with the red tape of filing a complaint.  I never answer calls I don't recognize.  One time, I picked up and hung up.  That's what they do anyway.

Yes, I've been getting these calls. No messages.  Am on the DNC list. I've also complained to the BBB.

I wanted to post a suggestion to folks who read this board.  Your phone MAY have a call block function. I  just discovered it myself!  It works like a charm.  Play around with you handset and see if there is such a function. Mine is under "edit" where i have the option to either save the call or block it.

5 calls tonight.. as I'm getting ready to get into a tub of hot water, to start getting ready for bed.  But, I have a loved one in the hospital, so I ran to the phone each time.. stupid me!

I received eight phone calls from them today! I left them a message and asked them to stop calling me and they still call!  I want them to please stop

I don't not pick up a number I do not recognize. They have called me several times in the last couple of days and left no voicemail. This time they did. When I listened the person sighed with annoyance and said "ugh, oh my god..." and then hung up. If they're so annoyed with people not answering their phones to an unknown number, maybe they should get a computer job.
After looking up these comments, this is clearly a bad company who wastes people's time and patience.

This phone number solicits newspaper subscriptions..not sure how they get the numbers.  Has nothing to do with the local newspaper...appear to be a scam

First time I got a call from this number.  Caller ID said:  METRO NEWS SERVG.  They only rang 3 times and disconnected.  Another unwanted call.

Calls my number 4-5 times a week .... never says a word

Called the 1-800-950-8475 phone number provided by others. The lady that answered was very polite and removed me from their list. She said it takes 24-48 hours to go into effect.

Really lame that I had to google them and find this board in order to get the situation resolved, but at least she was polite.

Keep getting calls with no one speaking on the other end when I answer and no voice mail. Annoying

They called me like 3 times a day (and night and morning) several moths ago but there was never anyone there when I answered or on their "voicemail". One time I finally said STOP CALLING ME, and it did stop...until about 3 days ago, now it is back to them calling....

Thanks for the info very mad pt2, they called I answered and they wouldn't say anything, so I just started yelling in the phone, if you want to call and act a Damm Fool, I'm going to treat you like a Damm Fool, so please get a life.

answered today for some reason and the guy wanted me to verify my address so he could send me coupons for a "Yes" company...   hope Karma is real cause they deserve some right back at them!

Called and asked for newspaper renewal, but must provide CC# today only. SCAM.
