I recd a call from 210 706 2200 and its Caremark/CVS. They left a message for me to return the call at 1 866 644 0876. It's DEFINITELY a mail order company for prescriptions. Just wanted to verify my address before forwarding my medicine to me. It's legit.

I got a call from this number this afternoon on my cell phone. It was NOT CVS/Caremark. It was a recorded message stating if I wanted to lower my credit card interest to press "1". I hung up. They didn't give a bank name or anything.

I received a call from this number on 1/9/13.  At least in my case, it was a legitimate call from CVS Caremark & the message left a message indicating there was a question with a prescription refill & also provided both a return call # & a reference # to use when I called back.  I've received calls from them previously.  I returned the call to the # & with the reference # they provided, & my issue was resolved.  They did not ask me to provide any info I haven't already provided them when I signed up for their service.

Received a voice mail message from 210-706-2200 with a call back number of 1-866-209-4706.  The call back number was not in service.  This is a scam. I am checking with the phone company to see if that call back number adds any unusual charges to my bill.

Your doctor is almost always making a mistake to say no generics with only rare exceptions.  Some doctors may prescribe a brand name drug merely because they own stock of the manufacturer or have a consulting arrangement with the drug manufacturers.  I know of only two generic drugs in the last forty years of those of interest to me where there is long term legitimate justification for insisting on the brand name product.

On the negative side, if you are at risk of serious adverse reactions to prescriptions under a last term U. S. Supreme Court ruling you can not sue the generic manufacturer.  Prescription costs for brand name drugs are a major portion of your health insurance premium for prescription coverage and sometimes for the entire policy.  You need to ask the doctor to justify the use of brand name drugs beyond they had free samples to give you.  The free samples are only possible because of far higher prices for the drugs.  On an expensive prescription the cost difference can be hundreds or even thousand of dollars per month.  As premium costs increase faster than inflation, you need to play a role in containing  costs or you will eventually be paying a much larger share of your health insurance premium.  There is a concrete limit to what companies will pay for worker health coverage.  You realize just how much money is involved when you lose your job and continue coverage under COBRA for up to 18 months.

You need to be aware that Caremark itself doesn't know all the telephone numbers it is associated with because it subcontracts some functions, such as speciality prescriptions follow-up for care monitoring and those phone numbers are determined by the subcontractors themselves.  Federal regulations cover divulging any health care information which is why no message is left.  It makes it hard to verify the legitimacy of the caller though.

Perhaps your doctor sent your prescription to the wrong place. It would wise to call your Dr and ask where they may have sent it.

It is the law that anyone needing to speak to you about your health insurance, medications and such has to validate that they are talking to you by asking such questions. If you don't feel comfortable call the number on the back of the membership care. The Customer Service Reps can let you know if CVS Caremark called you or not and what the issue is.

That # is not a call in number. If a message is not left to call the correct area, use the number on the back of your membership card.

They should always leave a voicemail. If the are not call your customer service number on the back of your membership card and find out what the issue is. This may cause you not to receive your order.

Dude Diligence did the right thing in NOT calling back. The rule is when you get called by a stranger, you MUST NEVER give out any personal info for any reason. If you call your pharmacy, you can safely give out personal info because you know who you called. A stranger who calls you and claims to be your pharmacy may be a criminal pretending to be your pharmacy. Only scammer shills want victims to call back their phishing scam number.

You paranoid slag. How can it be phising if they already know your prescription number.

If CVS has a problem they will contact you by whatever means you give them, this includes your cell phone.

They're calling me right now, the reason, my flex card expiration date. They need updated information if I want my pills. Simple as that.

Don't want to give up the info, don't want to answer the phone and would rather hang out here and not get your dose, fine, one less useless eater on the planet to deal with.

I recieved the same information as Cynthia and Brad. I had sent a check in with my CVS Mail Order for some medication. The reason they were calling was that the date on my credit card had expired and they wanted to know if they should remove it from the file. The fact that they KNEW I had included a check with my order assured me that this was legit as no scammer could have known that. This is a legit number for CVS Mail Order Prescriptions.

Nope - all good here on my recent call.
They left a similar message for me to call.
I did, they asked for standard identification info, nothing crazy, were definitely concerned with Data Privacy and Respect.
The call was about a Rx that they were about to ship - it very high, and they wanted to make sure that it was OK to bill me and ship it.  I'm actually appreciative of the call as my Doctor said No Generic.

The left a message on my voice mail requesting Icall 866-695-9072; it is CVS CareMark. My Doctor extended a prescription for me and my company prepaid card had expired; they needed another card for payment. They actually were doing me a favor as this is medication I need daily and was running low on it.

i just received a call from Supposedly Caremark asking for payment information. i am not with Caremark but they are trying to reach my elderly mother. i know that she has her own contact at caremark so i don't understand why they are calling me and on my cell phone at that. this information was not privy to Caremark and i'm a upset that they would even contact me about this information. Please discard my number from this list and have them contact the patient directly.

Thank you

My husband just got a call from this number that was supposedly Caremark. But they called on his cell, and Caremark always calls our landline. Plus, the woman was asking for his credit card info, SS#, birthdate and other personal info.

I think that a scammer is spoofing this number to make it look like CVS/Caremark. Don't give them any info. Hang up and call Caremark directly.

My husband just got this call on his cell, which was odd to begin with. CVS/Caremark always calls our landline. The woman said there was an issue with a prescription the doctor called in Saturday. Saturday? None of our doctors work on Saturday, and he wasn't waiting for a prescription to be filled.

Then it got weirder. She asked for his birth date, SS# and some other personal info. Caremark has never asked us for this info and doesn't need to. We use them under my insurance. They have everything they need. Why would they need his SS#? Definitely a scam.

Ignore all of the posts saying this is legit. They're probably from the scammers.

Recieved call and voicemail on cell from 210.706.2200, identifying themself as CVS/Caremark rep, quoting a recent Rx order number, and saying "they needed to update payment information."  Left 866.695.9072 as callback.

Rx order inquestion was already filled and paid for.  CVS/Caremark does not contact me via my cell.

I contacted CVS/Caremark via my web account, and they indicated no outbound calls were made re: my account.

Phishing it seems to be.

Yes it is indeed CVS/Caremark pharmacy.  Rather than call this number, I called their main number on my CVS/Caremark paperwork and asked if someone had called me.  They had indeed.  They needed the correct phone number for a mailorder prescription that I tried to setup a few days earlier.  It's legit.
