But "why they said??. and I said: so I can call you anytime of the day!!!!!

Yes, you will get more calls. That is part of the scam: you call them back to have your name removed, but once *YOU call THEM* they can legally not only continue to call you if they wish, but they can also sell your info to other marketers or surveyors! That's why one also should not, for ex., buy an appliance from Sears and then return their call asking for feedback on the delivery (or whatever). Once you call them, they can disseminate your phone number to all their subsidaries and "partners." Read that in the LA Times, anyway.

YES - very good reply / warning to people. And it's true, as I've read the same from the LA Times consumer affairs columnist. DON'T EVER call any of these marketers or surveyors back, or they can legally reuse or sell your info anytime and to anyone.

Called this number, immediate pickup by a human, asked to have my number removed, she was very polite and said it would be removed from their database.

stop calling 406-265-9202. Remove this number from your call list

This number has called several times and has ID of Scarborough RSR. I did not pick up and they did not leave a message. I suspect they would solicit money if we did answer.
Kris 2014-04-09 02:52:53 Unknown
I subscribe to Nomorobo.com (for free) and they stopped this call after one ring!
dps 2014-04-05 11:13:37 Unknown
They just keep calling all hrs never leave message .
Pam 2014-03-29 20:14:10 Unknown
You realize that no solicitation does not include surveys, right? or donations. It only applies to people selling you stuff.
Pam 2014-03-29 20:10:17 Unknown
I bought a new Panasonic phone that allows you to block hundreds of numbers. So worth the money, Anyway, these folks system will keep calling if they don't get an answer. My phone blocked them three times yesterday and once this morning. One ring is all I hear and then wonderful silence. No more hurrying to get unwanted calls.

Simply Bogus! Scam artists claiming to be some type of media survey and exempt from FCC Do Not Call requirements. I think they wore down welcome mat already

Left a message identifying themselves as Scarborough Research doing a survey about "radio listening, TV viewing, newspaper reading, and internet preferences". Called again within 90 minutes.

someone from this number just called-it's 4 minutes to 10.00 mdt. I didn't even give him a chance to do anything-told him he can't call this late. He sounded like /Michael Jackson-and apologized, saying 'he didn't realize it was so late" I then
hung up on him

It is after 8:00 my time but I guess it's earlier where they are. I'm on no call list too and they call anyway. Why have the list if nobody follows it. Thanks

I have no solicitation on my phone and I pay extra for it and they got through. I just reported them to the FCC because on caller ID stated outside call and they got through my no solicitation. Looked them up here.
Grace Hopper 2014-02-28 02:18:09 Unknown
Well, if they are a Scarborough research and are a legitimate business perhaps they should have the good sense to place their real name on caller ID - not just the phone number. I and most folk with a lick of sense don't answer trash like that.
Will rarely answer an area code and number I don't know, and will never answer a number without a name... Frickin' tards!

Received many calls from this number the last being on 2-13-14. These people from the alleged survey company call at all hours. I note one person found out an address for the people who are calling . I did a map quest on the address and note it seems to be a private home not a office building. These would explain why they call at all hours. I of course do not answer the phone.
Helen m 2014-02-07 05:02:34 Unknown

I think we all have been having serious problems with these SCAMMERS - People who need to get a "real" job. I've been contacting our local telephone company and reminding them that there are more people as their customers than the few pests. They claim they can't do anything about it -- but they can. Wake up people - threaten your local telephone companies and flood them with your complaints. After all, where do you think they are getting the telephone lines to harass us with. I run a small business and I'd say on some days 75% of the calls I get are scammers and I never answer them. Normally they hang up after 3rd ring, but when customers are in the store and you don't answer the phone its rude to them. When I explain why I don't answer they all agree and say they have the same problem. I'm wondering if there may be some lawyers out there that thought about generating a class action law suit against the callers or telephone companies. I'm sure they'd have enough clients. Like everyone else, I don't want money -- I just want the pests to stop calling me. At home I get a lot of calls after 9 p.m. and being handicapped to go get the phone to see its another pest doesn't sit well with me. If anybody's able to get a legitimate telephone number on one of these callers, you should post it so we can call them. For me, I'd call them between the hours of 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. and give them a dose of their own medicine. Lately, the numbers shows up "SCAM" as the callers name and their number following.
Bren 2014-01-29 03:55:42 Unknown
Called at 9:47, to darn late if you ask me, and left no message.
Bryan 2014-01-25 02:15:57 Unknown
It's not a scam, since they never ask for personal information. Just a telemarketing annoyance. You can report them to the FTC if they keep calling, and have asked them to be taken off their caller list.
