Have been repeatedly getting a call from 210-867-1139 "Amer Invests" for the past couple of months.  Yesterdayevening we received three calls and today, twice already!  
When I answer there is no one on the line, after a few seconds it goes to a dial tone.  I have returned the call a number of times and get a fast busy.  
This call previously came in at 210-867-1130 (AMER INVESTS) and I called back getting a live person telling them to take us off their call list. So now we are receiving calls from the 1136 number instead!  How can we get rid of thease annoying $^#@! ?

I have been doing my research on this number, I know that the person is in San Antonio Texas and is calling from "Clec"....all i can tell about this person is that... they obviously know what there doing because if they know how to make it were we cant find there name or call them back, they have done this before. please e-mail me when you find out this person corapenn@hotmail.com . If i find out any thing else that will help i will post another message up

I swear this person is getting on my nerves...and all i know is that they live in "San Antonio Texas" and i know that because (210) area code is the San Antonio area. So if that helps anybody, when you find out who it is, be my guest kick there @$$.

Have received calls from this number for a couple of weeks--caller ID. I told my husband because he has Ameriprise investments, since the caller ID said Amer Invest I assumed it must be for him and he should call back. He called his broker and of course there is no reason for Ameriprise to call him directly. I find this extremely annoying!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for that website. I have received several calls and they do not answer. Comes in as
unknown name. I have also been receiving reduce debt mailings, a lot of them and seems they
could be connected somehow. All I know is I really dislike scammers and people who intrude
on my privacy. I am filing a complaint and I sincerely hope they respond next time they call and
I answer the phone so I can get a piece of them.

Started receiving calls from Amer Invests yesterday, they called again today both times I wasn't home and they left no message.  They just called again and my child answered, they hung up and called again.  I spoke to the lady who was very nice.  She told me she works for Financial Stratigies who works on trying to help consumers get out of credit card debt.  It sounded really akward to me especially when she asked for my credit card account number.  I said no I can't give you that and then she had another person get on the phone to make sure I knew they were trying to help me.  It sounds like a scam so I gave them no information and ended the call.  I googled the number and came upon these complaints.  I'm glad I didn't give them any information as it seems like a total scam.

I keep getting calls from this number, at work. Highly annoying as I am in a support role and have to answer each and every call. Especially since this number is from San Antonio and we have a center there.

It's a computer generated call and their computer is crap. That's why, most of the time, it fails to connect when you actually answer, and you rarely get anything when you call back.

I've answered the number numerous times and was three of them. All three times it was someone from "Financial Services" or some other incredibly vague name. First time the guy on the phone said he was calling in regards to my Mastercard or Visa. I don't have any Mastercards so was immediately on guard. I asked him which cards he was talking about and he went into a script. I told him I wasn't interested and it sounded like a scam. He got quite rude, "Well, yeah, I see you are in Oklahoma so I don't expect you to understand what I am offering here."

I hung up on that one and wondered if that approach ever works out?

Anyway, I "Googled" the number afterwards and saw all the complaints.

Second time I was connected it was a woman. As soon as she mentioned credit cards I asked if she had internet access at her desk, was told she does, and asked her to google the phone number she just called from.

She hung up.

Now I just hang up when I hear "financial" or "Credit".

Problem is, they have stepped up the calls.

I need to know who, where, how to file a complaint....

They said they were calling on behalf of my credit card company but addressed me with the wrong name.  Sounds like some kind of identity theft scam.

Calls every day around 2:00 P.M.. When I answer, no one is there.

So sick of this # I just pick up and hang up

We have only had our number for 1 month and these people keep calling all the time and of course call block doesn't work. They don't even have the guts to say anything. They just hang up.  If we call back they just pick up and hang up. I am taking further action because these phone jockeys are relentless!!!!!

calling 5 to 6 times a day no one talks or no message left

got a call told them they did not have the person they told me the person they were trying to reach was in debt trouble. THIS IS WRONG. You should not divulge financial information to anyone except the person being called. Tried calling back, busy.

calls everyday, finally picked up yesterday, asks for my wife, I said she was not here, then he hung up.  A black gentlemen who sounded very unprofessional.  on my phone it says "Amer Invests"

I will press charges if they call again.

Yep, exactly the same thing here in Florida.
This Amer Invests calls my number 3 -5 times a day!
Twice I have tried to answer, but nothing...just a blank and then a disconnect.
Glad I have caller ID...I don't even bother to answer them anymore.

This number 210-892-1136 calls 5-10 times a day, we just ignore it.  I wouldnt pick it up, who know how people can get info about you these days, its annoying, but I am not giving them any satisfaction by answering.

The number 210-892-1136 called about 10 times today we called back and the phoneline was busy and when we would answer they would just hang up and the caller ID said unknown caller???

They've called five times in the last 3 days.  I stopped answering.

I keep getting calls 2-3 times a day from this phone #. I asked to be taken off their call list but the calls still keep coming. When asked to speak to a supervisor they hung up on me. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got the call and answered it...she asked for me or my husband by first name like she knew us and said she was calling about our current credit card?????  We don't have any credit cards, we got rid of them when the economy craped out...I politely said we don't have any credit cards so you can't be calling about our current credit card, who are you and she hung up on me.

phone rings once or twice and hangs up.

we got a call today from this same person except the number was 210-892-1130--probably some sort of boiler room operation.

no message. call back and it's busy. 12-01-08

Robo call.  The taped message started in the middle and said some nonsense like "Are you aware of what's happening in the country"  and that was it.
Pretty stooopid.
