I get these guys calling me 10 20 times a day, I don't have a Credit One credit card, when I read these messages I researched the homepade for Credit One and found that phone number no place on their website.  They have an 800 number.  These are indian or hindus that call from the 732 number.  I answered it a couple of times to find out what they wanted.  Last SUnday morning they called me at 430AM.

We got call from this number and caller ID said 'unknown name.' After reading this page showing who they are, no one in our family has any cards nor loans with this outfit. They did not leave a message either. I did not pick up.

I work nights and they called me 5 times in 2 hours. I finally answered the phone and he told me who he was and that he was from credit one bank. Yes I do have credit card with them and I pay it on time every month. So he wanted me to give him my checking account routing number and account Number doo I won't have to pay the $9.99. I told him ok whatever and hung up on him. I had my account for over a year and never been late. My account is due in the next 2 days. Don't give these period any info and don't verify anything either. Because they should have your info on file.

Me,
These calls are from Credit One bank.  They are calling because they believe you have an account with them and that you owe them money.  It is not a scam to call you over and over.  If you don't have a credit one credit card then you should look into what you can do to make them stop calling.  But again, just because a company calls you a lot, this does not make it a scam.  They have to cheat you in some way to make it a scam.  If they did this, then please look into what you must do to make it stop.

Thank you John!  I don't know why people are saying it's a 'scam'.  I think people sometimes think that if a company calls you over and over that this constitutes a 'scam' but that is not true.  They may be a crappy credit card company but they just want their money.

Calling you all the time is not a scam.  They are a credit card company and those companies usually call because people owe them money, not b/c they are just running a 'scam'.  I'm curious to know what scam they are running as this would be important for people to know if they have a credit card with them.  A legit credit card company would not be running a 'scam'.  Just calling someone over and over does not constitute a scam.
Please let us know what they are doing that is a scam.

Concerned Person,
This is not a 'scam'.  They are Credit One Credit Card Company and they are calling you because they believe you are late on your payment.  If you have this credit card and need to make a payment then making a payment will stop them from calling.  However, if you are being harassed for no reason OR you don't want them to call you any more please see the response from the other respondent.  They have given you some other very good and legitimate options.  You can look at their very sound ideas.

It's not a scam.  Its a credit card company called Credit One.  They are calling because they believe that you are late on a payment.  They can call as many times as the want to.  If you want them to stop you either have to make a payment or send them a certified letter telling them they can't call you.  If you have never had a card with them then you will probably want to find out why they are calling you.  They are not a telemarketer and they don't sell cards over the phone.  They only call when a payment is late.

Hi,
Yes, they can call that many times.  They are a credit card company but they don't call to sell credit cards.  They call because they believe you are late on a payment.  A credit card company won't call you multiple times a day to try to sell you a card.
If you want them to stop calling you, send them a certified letter and they must stop.

Do you have a credit card with Credit One?  That is who this number is for.  If you are late on a payment they will call you multiple times an hour until you make a payment.  It's the actual credit card Credit One's collections department who is calling you, not a debt collector.

Hi
I have this card too and I actually forgot to make my payment (first time ever) and was less than a week late and they were calling me 3 times an HOUR!   I will be paying them off next month and closing the account.  I don't need that.  I know that bills need to be paid timely and I know that I was in error for forgetting but to call 3x an hour is just not right.

They do not have to stop calling you if you just say 'stop calling'.  You have to send it in writing to them to stop calling you.  Also, they can call as much as they want as long as they don't make contact.  That's why they don't leave a message.

The options given for 'call type' don't include credit card.  Credit One is not a debt collector.  They are a credit card company.

I have an android phone and this does not work on my phone.  What I had to do was add the phone number into my contacts list and after you fill in the name and their number, slide the page up as far as it will go and there is a box you can check that says, "send this call directly to voicemail."  Check the box and the problem is solved!

I don't think it's Credit One--I have their credit card, and there is no balance on it.  But I think this is the same number that harassed and harassed me 2-3 years ago.  This has just started up again, and I don't understand how--calling my home and cell repeatedly, and these are both different numbers since 2-3 years ago.  But it was a Waco, TX number then, and this is, too--recognize the 210 area code.  I have no collections items, its a scam, just ignore it--but the repetitive calls are exceedingly tiresome.  It's really stalking and extortion.  The police should do something.

They say it's a Credit One Bank; however, they called me about 2 weeks from me activating my card, demanding the payment. They had my name, full balance information and were asking for debit card to charge off the entire balance. My payment wasn't past due, moreover, i haven't gotten the first statement yet. What it seems like, that they are trying to scam and on top of it, have full access to bank's customers information.

I have been getting daily calls from this number.  I blocked it on my cell phone.  When I looked it up online I found this site.  I never heard of this credit card before.  I don't have a card from them, never had, certainly never will!  All of my bills are current.  I am hoping that some authority will see this site and take action, but that is probably a false hope.
