Unfortunately for you Anon, and everybody else, Stephanie is right.  Fact checking this is real simple.  Look up the firm on Brokercheck.  This site allows you to research broker dealers.  They are also regulated by the SEC and FINRA.  There is just no way they are running a scam.  The CEO actually is on CNBC all the time and is very successful.  They just tried calling my company and we hung up after listening to their "pitch" and then looked them up, everything checks out.  Funny thing is, companies like Goldman Sachs have laundry lists of complaints on brokercheck while these guys have none.  Stephanie is right when she says they must be doing something right.  It amazes me that nobody on this site did any homework.  I by no means have top level security clearance but I do know how to work the internet.

Wow, everyone on here is clearly not that smart.  This company is not a scam.  They have made my CEO a lot of money.  They are without a doubt legitimate.  They are on CNBC all the time.  They are brokers, very aggressive people, so yes they might come off rude sometimes.  Came across this while I was looking for the # on google.  They must be doing something right to stay in business this long.

My call came from 212-111-1653.  Asked for the CEO by first name.  Told him he wasn't in this office any longer and transferred him to the CEO's assistant.  I'm now putting this on my "do not answer" list, with all the other 212-111-**** numbers.

I too received a call from Ken with Olympia.  He asked for the CEO by first name and said he was following up with him.  When I pressed further for information, he impatiently said, "just tell him Ken with Olympia is calling."  He asked my name and title.  After I would not put the call through without further information, he said, "I'll just call his cell," trying to lead me to believe he actually would.  Horrible, horrible business practices.

This a***ole Tom Carroll called and told me that my boss was expecting his call and it was urgent. I told him he was in the middle of a closed door conf call and he was like you better go intterupt him because he is expecting a followup from me... so i interrupted him.  My boss FLIPPED out asked me to get his info so he can call back and tell them where to go.

So I took the initiative and called THEIR CEO Michael Murphy and said if they didn't put me through I would call his WIFE.  He wasn't too happy about that and I told him that his website states that "Olympia?s team shall conduct all business with the highest levels of integrity and ethics".  He wasn't too please.  If anyone else wants to call, feel free! Made my day!!!

A guy named Ken from Olympia. Asked for president by first name only. Said he's following up on the call so I put him on hold. Didn't take long til he hung up. These companies should be put out for their want to make many others miserable. They have no manners or anything, so rude.  How they can exist is beyond me. How can people stoop to the level of being so rude and crude is like scum of the earth. Such a shame how they have to waste their lives on being such scum.

I'm getting unwanted calls from a person who asks for the owner of our company by name and then hangs up when I ask what it's regarding. Unfortunately the calls are untraceable as I'd like to let him know how I feel about this BS.

Alan from Olympia called for the CEO and tried to act like he knew him by using his first name.  I put him on hold, waited for a second then told him I didn't get an answer on that line and  asked if he wanted to leave his name and number. He said no and hung up.    Does he really think I would ever put the call through?  what a joke!

Ignore calls from this number.  I fell for it once, never again.  Tom Carrol insisted my CEO would want to talk directly w/him even when I told him the boss was in a board of directors' meeting.  My CEO did not take the call.  Then I researched and found from others what jerks these people are.  NOT smart ticking off the assistant to the CEO.  This number is now blocked from our entire corporate phone network.  :-)

Got a call from them and would not tell us hwo they are and what they want. want to speak to the president and lyed that they are returning president call.

Called my work again, this time they changed the last 2 digits from "56" to "49". Either way its the same fools and this time I saw the number on caller ID and I immediately just picked it up and hung it up.

Called my work again. I looked at caller ID, seen it said "New York" 212-111-1656, picked the phone up and hung up. I'm not even gonna waste my time answering these fools anymore. I have better things to do than deal with their BS.

I have gotten a call from this number multiple times this week alone. He never gives his name just asks for company president by his first name (like he knows him on a personal level) I tell him he is in meetings all day but I will be glad to give him a message, most of the time he hangs up on me before I can finish my sentence. I would really like to cuss him next time he calls but hey we gotta be professional right!?!?

SAME AS ABOVE, ASKED FOR OWNER OF BUSINESS, WHEN I SAID HE WASN'T AVAILABLE. HE HUNG BEFORE I COULD GET THE WORD OUT OF MY MOUTH! VERY RUDE!!!

Just got a call from Tom whom had the balls to try and still get through to our chairman.  I've alerted our company's other key executives, our switchboard and our security team.

I know where his office is.  I'm a pretty big man.  He should never call here again.

yes, i get the same calls. they get agitated when not transferred and you cant call back the number. i get a hold of website for company and see what they are about, usually takeovers, mergers or financial planners. eventually i request that they remove our number from their phone master. good luck

I have gotten these calls three days in a row and have gotten them in the past. Wow are they nasty. I actually told the man today that they are full of S**T. He started screaming at me to put my boss on the phone. Yea right. He said he would call back another time. I wished him luck. The calls are not going to stop so I say anyone dealing with them just have fun with it. Get your tension out on them. There is no reason why any of us answering the phones to their calls need to treat them the way we would regular clients. They are bullies. The next call I get I think I will start quoting Bible passages at them or something. Eventually maybe they will get the hint and just stop calling. I love some of the other posts about how people are dealing with the calls. Thankfully my boss gives me free reign with telemarketers and I can treat them however I please. So GAME ON JERKS!!!!!!

First call I've gotten at work from this number. Came up "New York". I immediately new it was a telemarketer. They asked for the president of the company. I told him he wasn't in. He asked if he'd be in later today. I told him I didn't know. (if you're a good receptionist you know to NEVER give that information to anyone).

Noting it in this system in case they call back.

Received another call from Olympia; different number (212-111-1632) and different a**hole.   Tried to be a bully wanting to speak to the president but with a nice as pie voice just spoke over him and said thank you for calling & hung up.  But the next time I will either do the fax transfer or place on hold.  I know this dumb company will be calling in a few days ... so game on!  Since the do not call list does not work I have to say this sites helps out to weed out the legitimate cold calls.

Just received a call fro Nick from Olympia; on caller id shows Name Unavailable.  He asked for the president of the company and when I asked what is was regarding he said a "package" that was sent a few weeks ago and wanted to verify some "legalities" with the owner.  RED FLAG!!  I accept all packages and give to the owner to review.  When I told him that he kinda backstroked a little but still would not leave a message or what is was regarding.  And said he would call back .. he hung up before I told him don't bother because he will not be transferred. UGH! How do I stop this unwanted solicitation calls - the do not call list is a JOKE!

I have the same story on this guy JOHN he is so rude! next time he calls I'll just tell him to wait and i will hang up on him like they all do to me!

This company keeps calling and calling and won't get the hint the President does not want to speak with them.  They are very evasive, act as if what they want to talk to the President about is "top secret" and get pissed when I won't put them through.  Get the hint, the President does not want to talk to you.

Its a brokerage firm calling to solict investment ideas..rather routine, just ask to be put on the do not call list and then they legally can't call you

these people are total d**ks.  they call so often & think that just because they say "JOE THERE?" I'm gonna transfer them.

I now recognize the number, pick up and say nothing.
