The same guy from this number has been calling our business for over a year. He asks for the president of our company who never works out of our office. When I tell him this and ask to take a message he either hangs up, says something rude or asks for a direct line to our president. He once replied "Sweetie, just give me his number". I asked him to please stop calling. I am the only person who answers this line and I will never direct him to the president or anyone else. That did not deter him. Now he calls, and when I answer, he hangs up.
There has got to be some way to stop this. It is harassment!

Turns our that this Olympia Capital is NY boiler-room. They hire very young and inexperienced day slaves that spend 12 hours a day cold calling to red-neck states where guys are dumb hicks and easily impressed. They give misleading and illegal pitches on stocks that imply takeovers and to get in on the action. Most of their analysts have left or were fired due to financial problems at the firm. The CEO is a slick guy that pumps many stocks that all drop anchor to the bottom. Hang Up on these guys or your money will sink.

I got a call from this number but would not leave a message wanted to talk to my CEO
OperatorB 2011-10-11 13:12:45 Telemarketer
Caller: I'd like to talk to Joe. (The president's first name, like they're buddies.)
Me: Which one please? (Hey, dumb**s, you're being screened out of the running!)
Caller: Joe Taylor! (As if he'd talk to anyone less.)
Me: He's not available. (Nasally operator tone a la Lily Tomlin.)
Click. Oh dear, he hung up!
Loser. Like this is only the 500th time I've heard that pitch. Like your business isn't just short of outright scam.
Oh, and 111 isn't a real exchange number. Dialing it will get you nowhere.

They call here at least 3-4 times a week and they are always rude. Now, I recognize the number I just pick it up and hang it back up. They always hang up and if they read this....I WILL NEVER LET YOU SPEAK TO THE PRESIDENT OF OUR COMPANY! GET A REAL JOB!

This is a fabulous site to reference annoying phone calls. THIS NUMBER IS DEFINITELY GOING ON OUR DO NOT ANSWER OR CALL BACK NUMBERS SHEET.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

Here is some company info when we researched the number.
Olympia Capital Markets Group,
888 7th Ave. 17th Floor
New York, NY
212-586--7525
When we called the number they answered; "Olympia Capital Markets Group", when asked to speak to the CEO, he asked who was calling, the male secretary sent me to a Mike McNolte's voice mail, but the CEO is Michael Murphy. If you get the calls and they ask for your CEO or President just put them on eternal hold. THEIR DIME... I am sure there are other things you can do to pursue these jerks, but its not worth my time, they will never get hold of our CEO without have to go thru me first.

I receive a few calls a day from this number for me CEO. Today was a person but last week the caller would hang up before I could even finish saying that my CEO was unavailable.

a person called from 212-111-1620 (not a real number), asked for the President. We asked who's calling, and he refused to say, kept insisting to talk to President. Not going to happen buddy.
I hung up on him, he was getting very rude and no need for that in today's world.
Barb 2011-01-19 23:02:42 Unknown
Demanded to know why he was left on hold for 10 minutes. He did ask for the owner's first name and our caller ID is "Unavailable." I asked him to identify himself 3 times and he refused said he would email the owner. Also asked me 3 times why he was left on hold for 10 minutes and informed me that the owner would be notified, via email, that he was left on hold. We are on the Do Not Call Registry.

Same as above. Caller asks for the President of the company by first name. Following is the conversation:
Me: I can see if he is available, may I...
Caller (interrupting): Thank you.
Me:... tell him who is calling?
Caller: Greg from Olympia.
Me: Olympia what?
Caller: Olympia.
Me: What is the name of your company?
Caller: Olympia.
I put him on hold for a minute while I googled his number. I seem to remember this guy from a while back. Suspicions confirmed by this site. I pulled him back off of hold and told him the President was unavailable and asked if I could take a message. "Greg" said no, that he would "just shoot him an email." Yeah right. And of course in typical telemarketer fashion, everything he said was very abrupt and rushed, borderline rude.

Got a call for our previous president (again) by first name. (Like he's his best friend) I asked who's calling and he tell me Greg from Olympia. I tell him he's no longer w/company and has been gone for some time. Greg got all snarky w/me saying "Oh really? Well, I'm just calling him back, so it must have been recently." I tell him it's been several months, but ask if there's someone else who can help him. He then wanted to know if anyone replaced him, I said Yes, but not at this office. He says Fine, and hangs up.
Really sick of these calls - they are a waste of my time.

Have been getting rude calls from this number sporadically and now I know from reading this I don't have to be nice to them and I can just hang up on them. Thanks for the input!

Guy claims he is from a company called Olympia or Olympus and the reason for his call is different every time. As soon as he's put on hold he calls right back...same number pulls up on the caller ID

We received a call from this number and it was a guy asking for our (recently retired) president by first name. The conversation was both entertaining and irritating. Went something like this:
Man on phone: May I speak with Dick
Me: Actually he no longer works for our company, is there something I can help you with?
Man: Oh! Well who took his place?
Me: May I ask who's calling first?
Man: Hello? Can you hear me? Who took his place?
Me: I can hear you, who is this?
Man: <SIGH> Who took his place?
Me: Sir, man I ask who's calling?
Man: <Hungs up>
I do'nt appreciate these people calling and getting all snotty with me. If you wont tell me who you are, I'm not going to help you! Damn criminals...

I have recently discovered that the DNC registry does not apply to businesses...we too are registered (and we are a business). If you go to their site...in the fine preint you will read that it does not apply to businesses. (!) Very discouraging, I know....
What I have decided is that I will (try) to get as much info as possible next time and file a complaint with the Attorney General's office in their state.
Anybody with more info?

This number keeps calling every day and asks for the President of our company by name, they never want to leave a name or message, they just hang up rudely and loudly.
AC 2010-02-23 20:43:59 Unknown
They constantly stalk my boss, the CEO of our company. I never ever put them through because I know they are solicitors and they get nasty and snarky when I won't put my boss on. I would love to report them since we are on the "DO NOT CALL" registry!
