Got a call from 212-586-7593 from "Simon with Olympia". He asked for the owner by name at which point I asked who he was and what the call was regarding. He said "he would be familiar with it". I asked again because that reason is not valid around here and it certainly isn't getting you through to the owner. He then, speaking very fast, said it was regarding some package from May and wants to ask him what he's supposed to do with it. Sensing this was BS I told him the the owner was not in (which was true but I always wait until after I've probed the caller for as much info as possible) and asked him to provide a call back number, he said our local area code (clearly not the one he was calling from) and then immediately hung up. Never called back. Clearly a BS junk call and Simon must have been new because it seemed like he was nervous or something.

After looking online I see that its another investment firm. I get so many of these types of calls, always from New York 212 area codes. They drive me nuts and they can be so rude and sneaky.

Ask to speak with someone, then hangs up without leaving message if person is unavailable.  Very unprofessional.

Very rude man!  Took my name down as if I was the person in the wrong for trying to screen a call for my boss.  Not very nice at all

I got several of these calls over the years, mostly from this whorehouse. I recently called the compliance guy - some Russian, which makesme believe this is a mob-run outfit. His answer was "I don't care" and he hung up.

This same person has been doing this for 2 years to us!  I am giving all the info I have to our attorneys and see if they can do anything legally about this guy.

we have been receiving calls from this guy for about 2 years.  Cannot figure out how to get it stopped.  I am thinking of filing a complaint with the SEC.  He is very rude every time he calls.  I have requested each time that we be put on the "do not call" list.  He is calling our house for my husband who is the Pres. of our Co.  I asked his name and he said "Liam with Olympia"  I said I would give the Pres. the message then i hung up.  He called back and hung up on me.  then called back again and asked the same question.  I asked if he had just called, he stated "yes" but then proceeded to tell me I hung up on him before he was finished speaking and was very obnoxious.  I told him, he was harrassing me and that i had his number on my called ID and would give it to our attorneys.  He said, "you just do that!" and hung up on me again.  
I think we should all file complaints with the SEC.  By the way, he calls from different numbers.  In addition to the 212-111-1629 he also uses 212-111-1645.

Ask for a person from the company and when they are not able to get that person they hang up. How rude! How can they have a phone number and act this way. What more can we do to stop this? LT

We (in Seattle) just rec'd a call from a man calling from 212-111-1629. He was very assertive. (They try to push over the person on the line by acting assertive). He asked directly for my boss, by name. I stated that "my boss' name" is not available (which was true). I asked him if he'd like to leave a message, but the caller refused and said "I'll catch him at another time." Again assertively.

Cuz! you need to get a real job. This one's is driving you insane. Your ploy is old and stale.

I got "Liam Mcgann" from Olympia. He asked for the President of the company, when I asked what it was about he got snotty & said "he'll know what it's about", of course the pres. had no idea who he was & when I told Liam that he said "well if he doesn't remember who I am I'm not going to waste my time leaving a message", very rude like then hung up. Total jerk, not a good way to attract business

I got the same deal.  "Joe Schultz" Asked for my owner by name, was very rude then hung up.

The guy asked for the owner of the company.  When I asked if he wanted to leave a message, he said "NO!", and hung up. What an a-hole!

Ask for the president of our company, I said he was in a meeting and he hung up on me! lol  I'm gonna get them back...somehow lol

Financial services company - might be a scavenger debt collector. Very rude when they can't get to the person they are calling for. Just ignore them.
