Annoying salesman with a bad New Joisey accent and lots of background chatter.

As others have mentioned, if you ask who's calling, or say the boss isn't in, they hang up. So do what I do, and very politely say "Please hold and I'll connect you..." and then see how long you can keep the fish on the line.

My motto: "You waste my time, I'll waste yours!"

This guy calls me multiple times a day. So much, that I now his voice now. He always asks for John, the president of the company by his first name and can't pronounce his last name correclty (no matter how many times I correct him)! The other day this guy had the audacity to try and tell me he was one of John's relatives and needed to speak to him immediately because it was a life or death matter - and tried to get me to give out John's direct number or cell phone nuber (which I''m not stupid enough to fall for). The president of my company is RARELY in the office - he is normally out in the field - and I tried to explain it to this man but he's just too stupid to gt it through his head. He has called me names, tried to go around me and attempt to con other people in my office to giving out John's personal information, he even somehow made it into John's voicemail and told him I was a stupid b**** that needed fired.

If only the government would actually do something about A***OLE con artists like this ...........

Very rude callers.  We are on the do not call list; why, I am not sure.  It doesn't work.  They call and ask for the owner by name and when I ask who is calling, they hang up!  I am sick of these calls!  Even if I would put them through, they wouldn't get anywhere!  They should consider really working to collect a pay check!  When I try to call the # back to give them a piece of my mind, it says the # is disconnected.

He just called my business and when I told him I would take a message he hung up really loud too. Very annoying!!!!

These idiots call my office a few times a week and I WILL NEVER LET YOU SPEAK TO THE PRESIDENT, MORONS!  NOW when I see this number I realize who you are and I just pick up and hang up on your stupid butt all loud like you have been doing to me for the past few years. GET REAL JOBS!

SORRY EVERYONE ..... THE PHONE CALL CAME IN FROM 212.111.1635 (not 1665 as I wrote in my previous message).

Calls keep coming into our Corporation Headquarters from 212.111.1663 & 212.111.1665.  Thanks to all these wonderful notes, they are both on our DO NOT ANSWER OR CALL BACK NUMBER Sheets.  It's amazing how many are currently on this list!  Yes, telemarketers are often rude, unprofessional and sarcastic (all the traits for why a special extension and list has been established).   Sure is sad that this is going on in the business world.  As others have stated, many calls from telemarketers definitely interfere with doing the business that companies were established for.  Unfortunately, it seems like telemarketing has become a way that will be impossible to eliminate.  I truly feel sorry for all persons who need to take telemarketing jobs and wonder if they would be able to survive in a real-world job.  No boss or supervisor would tolerate behaviors like many incoming callers to businesses often display!!!

Asks for owner and then before I even finished saying he's not here, the person hangs up loudly.

Idiot calls our company in MN every week - asks for one of the owners and like with everyone else, when I say he is not in, he hangs up right away....  Please put a stop to this jack***!!!!!!!  You can tell he's from New York because he sounds like a dumb a** from New York!!!!!!!!!

Got two calls from this guy in less then a minute. Barley got out that our contact person wasn't in and he hung up on me. I find this very rude and I don't care who he is he will never get through. Talk about a crapy sales person.

Keeps calling and repeat hang ups from this number beware

We keep getting calls we tell them to stop calling, but they wont. I have called to complain with Embarq @ 1-800-339-1811, also called to be added to the NO Call list @ 1-888-382-1222.  Hate solicitors.

Same man calls a few times each week. Just asks for the owner of the company (by his first name). All I can get out is "he's not in right now..." (I usually add "could I take a message and have him call you back?" but I can't get that far.) As soon as I say he's not in right now, the man says "OK thank you"...CLICK...

I'm beginning to think that these websites like callercomplaints.com, 800notes.com and whocallsme.com have call centers calling all of us to increase traffic on their site to generate more revenue from their advertisers.

Ryan with Olympia calls for the owner of the company, asks for him by first name.  I respond, "he currently is in a meeting, can I place you in his voicemail" and there is hang up.  

This number will never get to anyone with phone manners like that.

This place calls once a week.  Its always Ryan.  How many Ryan's work there?  I just started hanging up on them when they ask for the owner.  Its Fun!

Just got this call too, with the rude hang-up. I'd love to act like I'm my boss, but he's a guy.

Did you have any luck finding out who they are.  It's so annoying that they just hang up on you. With how rude these people are my first thought was a collection agency.

Because the PBX they are calling from is spoofing the ANI (caller ID info).  It is illegal for telemarketing companies to do that.  I'm calling AT&T not to discover where that call *really* came from and lodge a formal complaint.  This time the guy said his name is Ryan Taylor.  He's been calling us for years.  He's not persistent... he's stupid.

Rude is not a strong enough word for this guy/company.  All I can get out of my mouth is "He's not...." and the receiver goes CLICK.  That's one way to NEVER get through to the owner of the company.  Of course, the stupid person is asking for the previous owner as is.  If you are reading this: Jim retired 11 years ago, jerk.

His new thing is, he tells me he's going to call my boss on his cell.  Ok!  Go get 'em cowboy!  I'm going to hang up when I see this number now!  Thanks for the tip!

Receptionists across the world DO NOT BOTHER answering this call...I simply pick up and "hang up"...he's rude and frankly annoying. I to get hung up on mid-speaking if I inform him that my boss is unavailable. My Boss laughs, because he see's my phone list of "hang ups" at my desk and knows when I pick up the phone and hang up immediately it's this annoying guy, not gentlemen that calls.
I actually enjoy it now when he calls, because I always beat him to the punch! ;)  though he doesn't call as often as he used to.....

I think (although not really sure) he is from a brokerage firm or soemine who helps with small business and their credit rating....

RUDELY hung up on me as I was telling him that the person he asked for was not in at the moment. Such a waste of my time. I will never patch these calls through to the owner and I am told to do so.

Olympia has been calling our company & asking for the owner for years.  I NEVER tell them that he is not in because I am so tired of dealing with these rude a**es hanging up on me. After they ask me "is so-n-so in?" I reply with, "may I tell him who is calling?" And if they fail to tell who they are with, I then  ask "the company name please?"  If it's Olympia - I say, "one moment please", while placing them on hold to never return to the line.

I think he is a terrorist!!  Only someone who is a threat to security would be calling from a New York City phone number ie. 212-111-1635 and when you return the call it rings 6 times and goes to an automated recording saying "the number or code you dialed is incorrect (then repeats in Spanish) (then says) message 7 switch 218"

This person needs to be stopped!!  Why hasn't the government done anything about this yet??   Who is this person?  Is there a way to stop him?

Again that phone # was 212-111-1635 out of New York City.  Please trace this # and find out who is harassing all of us and put and end to it already...

I received or should I say have received over many years calls from this annoying number. Yes, the caller asked for the President of our company, by his first name, as if he is some kind of personal friend or something, please...are you kidding? And he hung up, no thank you or anything. When you call this office, you had better state who you are and why you are calling. Because if not, then there is no way you are going to do any kind of business with us. Wish there was something that can be done to make calls from this annoying number stop!
