keep filing complaints - contact FINRA - their website has a complaints page. This firm is a major nuisance, and it's management belongs in prison.

This male person just called our business and asked for the director by first name. --told him the director was not in and he said something unintelligible and hung up.

Got a call from this number at 8am. Asked for me, i then asked who is calling, and then he slammed the phone down on me! Do***e bag. I called compliance officer and asked to be on do not call list. I also told them how f****d up they are. Not that they care, but made me feel better.

I worked there before. You have to realize they are cold calling brokers, they dont give a s*** about receptionists/secretaries. They just bang the phones all day to get through to the boss to throw a pitch at him. Submit a written complaint. Done.

Also, Phone # 212-111-1632. Olympia Asset Mgmt.

So, I too, received a call from Liam (lame) McGann from Olympia - he had an attitude from the very start.
I pressed him for specifics to the nature of his call and he gave me the same BS that has been previously mentioned in the comments before me. Said "he was getting back to my boss and he would know what the call was about".
I hate to break it to you jerk, but this isn't my first rodeo, I have access to my bosses contacts and I knew you were a cold call 15 seconds into the call, based solely on your wretched approach to communication. FYI - Don't bother calling back - your phone # has been flagged as a nuisance caller - so your calls will never get through to anyone.
I recommend you find another career path - perhaps a window washer for skyscrapers; you are not cut out to work with people!!

A written complaint... Guaranteed, the calls will stop.. it is not worth it for a broker to have a written complain over these phone calls. If they know they will get away with it.. it will.. NEVER... end..
sum 41 2012-01-18 03:42:54 Unknown
I have worked at Olympia.. yes these guys are rude.. but what they do works. I left the firm because I do not feel losing people money to make money is something I am comfortable with doing. Unfortunetaly, these guys do very well and they have all the time in the world to call on all companies.
The single best thing you can do... immediate results... is to file a written complaint. Once a written complaint is made.. it MUST be filed with the SEC... send a written complaint.. Gauranteed.. will never happen again.. GAURANTEED

THIS GUY CALLS EVERYDAY, ASKS FOR ONE OF THE OWNERS (CANT PRONOUNCE HIS NAME) THEN WHEN I SAY "HE'S NOT HERE"....SLAM GOES THE PHONE...SO I *69 THE LINE AND CALLED HIM BACK, "SLAM GOES THE PHONE"...HE IS ONE OF THE RUDEST PEOPLE I HAVE COME ACROSS. I WORK IN CUSTOMER SERVICE AND IF I RESPONDED TO POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS THAT WAY I WOULD NOT HAVE A JOB!!! SOMEONE NEEDS TO FIRE THAT POOR EXCUSE OF A PERSON!

Just got a call from this number - the "gentleman" asks for my boss by first name, then hangs up when I tell him he is not it. Do these people REALLY think that is the way to do business? Grrrr. If anyone every figures out who this company is, I would LOVE to know. Thanks!

Trish,
That is an untruth. My husband and I are co-owners of a company. He calls our home phone for my husband who is the Pres. of our company. Neither of us have ever invested with nor have an account with Olympia! Neither will we ever now that we have been telemarket by "Liam"!
T in AR 2011-08-17 22:02:10 Unknown
This person "Liam" has been calling our home phone for my husband for over 2 years. He is very rude and harrassing. He calls our home phone, however since my husband is running the company he is never here during the day when this guy calls. We have never done business with Olympia financial so they are basically telemarketing us. He has been calling and harrassing us for at least 2 years. I tell them the same thing every time..."put us on the do not call list" stop calling! Then he then hangs up or is just plain rude. He Even called 3 times in a row once to be rude. I have been in sales and sales management for over 30 years and have never heard that this sort of strategy working. Whoever approved this sort of game is not very savy on good telemarketing techniques. I am tired of getting these calls and now have enough evidence to turn this over to the law firm who represents us.
Has anyone tried filling out a complaint to the SEC?

This person from (212) 111-1645 calls my phone at my office and asks for the owner. When I tell him he is not in he slams the phone down... RUDE! How do i get this to stop?
Not Interested 2011-07-27 21:43:56 Telemarketer
Liam from Olympia Asset Management said "I know it's been a while but we spoke a few months back."
That is an UNtruth or better known as a lie.
Sandra 2011-06-06 20:42:52 Unknown
Asks for owner, hangs us when refused. Lots of background noise, phone room.
Lester 2011-05-19 14:52:11 Unknown
The head of compliance is a guy named Mike McNulty - he sounds like he's on drugs.
Worker Bee 2011-04-12 12:23:39 Unknown
Called my place of employment and when he was told that the person he was calling was no longer working here he just hung up. Bereft of any sort of manners.
what I did 2011-02-27 16:56:02 Telemarketer
What you need to do is contact this company and ask for compliance. Tell the compliance person to put you on the firm's do not call list.
Cyn 2010-09-29 22:32:17 Unknown
No Trish, he isn't. But it's nice to see that you are spamming complaints boards on their behalf.
"RON" from "Olympia" called and asked to speak to my boss. I asked "is he expecting your call". "Yes, yes he is". My boss was away from his desk, and when I went back to say "I'm sorry - he's not at his desk. Would you like his voicemail?", I got in response "Thanks" (sound of phone SLAMMING down in my ear)
They are nothing but cold-calling telemarketers. It is NOT lawful for them to contact you if you are registered on the National Do Not Call Register. Report them and their phone number immediately.
Yes, Trish - it's ILLEGAL for them to contact anyone on a DNR Registery. Make sure you pass that on to your coworkers.

The company is Olympia Asset Management
888 7th Ave. #1704
New York, NY 10106-0204
(212) 621-9600
Give them a call and hang up on them or tell them to f off.
They call here 3 times a week and hang up after asking for our
owner by the wrong name.
teens 2010-07-20 20:04:50 Unknown
Apparently Trish, you also work for Olympia, or why else would you defend such an unprofessional jerk. Liam calls our company all the time, and no one in management has EVER done business with Olympia. He is rude, and wastes a lot of time tying up our phone lines trying to get through to our CEO. Very unprofessional. He must get off on his own rudeness.
Holls 2010-07-20 19:49:50 Unknown
This guy (Liam for Olympia) is a jerk, won't explain why he's calling then told me off & hung up on me when I said my boss didn't recall talking to him in the past. Not a good way to get business dude.
Trish 2010-05-06 19:15:23 Unknown
Liam from Olympia Asset Management is not a telemarketer. He is calling about your investment account(s) or he is calling because you are authorized to make decisions on somebody else's account. You should answer his call.
It does not matter if you are on the Do Not Call list. If you or your family has done business with this company then it is lawful for them to contact you.
Lou 2010-03-05 19:05:18 Unknown
Caller is male - always asks for CEO by first name only. Always hangs up abruptly once he learns the person is unavailable. Despite what Marketing coaches may say, that ruse doesn't work. When someone (ANYONE, unless you're a known family member or co-worker) asks for a professional by first name only - that caller is unprofessional. Stop it already. You're harassing the real professionals.
Aaron 2010-03-01 20:58:19 Unknown
Same situation as above, asks for the owner then hangs up on you when you explain he's unavailable.
Patti 2010-02-24 20:37:12 Telemarketer
Liam was very rude and argued that the owner was NOT in a meeting and to connect him immediately. I transfered him to my boss; not the owner who he was also rude to and slammed the phone down on her.
AK 2010-02-17 17:44:04 Unknown
I had Liam from Olympia call as well. We frequently get calls from this number even though we are on the Do Not Call List. I have tried reporting them but it obviously hasn't done much good.
Sally 2010-01-05 19:09:25 Unknown
We had the same experience with this same number: 212-111-1645
Very rude. They hang up right when you are explaining yourself.
