Arrogant, rude caller. Tried to pick an arguement with me over the phone, called me a liar. Still don't even know why he was calling or what he was selling..... ?! Very upsetting.

Agreed with the 2 posters above.  This person/company deliberately insults and attacks you and this should be illegal.  What is the point in having so-called Do Not Call lists and rules and regulations if none of the phone companies or agencies are going to bother putting a stop to this?  People should not be allowed to antagonize and stir up anger in others and not answer for it.

I got on a high-net-worth list and get jerks like this calling every week.  They want you to invest in something.  I feel sorry for the poor suckers that are keeping this guy in business!

Wow... Whoever is using that number needs to get a life. Ive gotten calls from them and when i say hello they just hang up. Its so stupid. And they call me around eleven in the morning. This guy must not have any friends/ a life if he spends his time prank calling random numbers, especially in the morning.

I received a call from this # and the person just breathed a few times, then hanged up. A low lifer is at the end of this line.

Call your card issuers using the numbers on the back of the cards and see if there has been fraudulent charges. If not, then you know for sure 888-793-4225 is a scammer number wanting phish you.

I got a call from 212-212-1211 caller id was un assign ,NY...they called from the home phone....and I never give out our home phone to anyone or anywhere....they left a message stating that someone was trying to use my credit card to purchase airline fare.....but i couldn't understand what the man was saying but he left this phone # for me to call him back 888-793-4225 is this a fraud?????

I family owns a auto repair shop in Michigan and I have had the same issue with this number!  The person calling always asks for one of the owners and when I say he can't come to the phone or is not there...most of the time because I know it a sales call...the guys is so rude and same thing keeps on asking for him.  Just today again they called and when I said "Is there anything I can help you with" he goes "Ya you wish" and hung up the phone.  I was sooo mad.  I keep trying to call back but you can't even call the number.

I wish I knew which company it is from.

Got a call from a guy and asked for me by name.  I had missed the call the day before, and tried to call it back and got the "disconected" message, so I know this is a scam of some kind.  

A few months ago I got high pressure calls from a boiler room op in Florida (Pan American Metals) trying to sell me "investemnts" in silver.  Ha!  Finally told the Florida op that I have been recording their date and times of calls and will report them to FCC, as my cell number is on the Do Not Call List.  The FCC website says you can report them if they continue to call within 30 days of when you told them not to call...   The Florida boiler room has never called back!

As for these 212-212-0101 schmucks, we might be getting different scam operations using that same  callback number.  As for me, the guy said he worked for a company called "Sanomedics" or "Sinomedics", or something that sounded similar to that name.  He was trying to sell me shares in that company!  I actually trade stocks for a living, and there is a Sanomedics publicly traded company, symbol SIMH.  But it trades on the "Pink Sheets" which is notorious for scams!  This company has no sales or financial statements, so this is a big time warning!  Damn I hate these pump and dump crooks!

Go to the FCC website, or google "fcc do not call list" and get on the list. Get the company name of the scamers when they call you... lead them on a bit!  Get their info, their real phone number, their company name, etc. Then tell them you are on the do not call list, and you will file a FCC complaint if they keep harassing you!

I have received 3 to 5 phone calls from number 212-212-0101 during the past week.  The majority I have missed due to my phone ring volume not working.  I answered my phone this morning to hear nothing; I looked and was it was this same number.  I quickly called back only to receive a message that the number is a non-working number this is message blah, blah, blah.  I redialed the number and got the same message.  I see that 212 is from New York-I believe Manhattan.  I do not live or work anywhere New York.

This was quick call.  They asked for the owner of the company I work for who wasn't in at the time.  Didn't bother to leave a message and was very rude.  It's just another tele-marketer call so ignore it.

Received call from this number twice today.  Asked for an individual who had been terminated 3 years ago with this business for embezzlement.  After a cat and mouse type of Q & A, I told him unceremoniously to f**k off and terminated the call.  He called me back a few minutes later to tell me I had a mouth like a sailor.  I thanked him, and told him it took me many years to learn those words.  Then, once again, I repeated my previous closing.  This is the same individual or organization that calls about every 3 weeks looking for the same individual that go fired.  This tells me that he is up to no good, selling junk bonds or something of the same type.

I received a call from this number, but I didn't answer, as I never answer calls from any number that I do not recognize.  I called it back, and got a recording that the number was disconnected.  I'm assuming that this was a call from a collector, as unfortunately, I've had to deal with this stuff over the past 2 years.

These agencies have the ability to program their phone systems to display any number they want to.  They will use a number within the same area code as you have, but then have random digits behind it, as in the 212-212-0101 example.  They count on the fact that if you see it coming from your local area, you are more likely to answer the call than if it were coming from out of state or a toll free area code.

I don't know if this tactic is legal or not.  I simply don't answer the phone unless the call is from someone I personally know or do business with.  If they need to talk to me, they can leave a message and I will call them back if I need to.  Otherwise, I just ignore them.

Man called from this number and was demonstrative and rude! Wouldn't take NO! for an answer. Threatened Better Business Bureau and it didn't faze him! Told him not to call again. Couldn't obtain company name. Hung up.

I think the person calling should give a heads-up about what the call is pertaining to.  
Perhaps objectives could be accomplished?  Why the secrecy?

Also received a call from this number ... lasted about 3 seconds  ... heard people and chatter in the background - sounding like a boiler operation ...

Did anything later occur as a result - do you think?

Also contracted a computer virus a few days ag- am wondering whether the two are connected ...

We've received many calls from this number, the person is EXTREMELY rude. When I honestly told him that the person he was asking for, couldn't come to the phone, the caller told me he didn't believe me. This caller continued on trying to argue with me and insult me. I wish I knew where to report them.

Rec'd call about 11am local Alaska time.

Phone from this number rang while I was in mexico. My phone is on the do not call  list
