Depression is a sensitive issue, and patient information regarding psych issues is heavily protected at Mount Sinai.  As such that particular caller may not be allowed to leave such information on a calling machine in case someone else than the patient may hear it.

Got a message that I received a fax from this number. I do not have fax capability.

I just got a call from that number.  Caller ID said "Nancy Bach," who I Googled and is a doctor. I didn't pick up.

i am in Europe on vacation and this number calls me every day. I do not answer since do not have international plan. They do not leave message just call. This is insane. Has to stop!!!!

I got the same fone call this morning,I didn t have a chance to answer.. but they left a voicemail,the lady knew my name and said it was to remind me my apt that is in 2days?!I never been there and never taken any apointment so I don't really get it

Received call x 2 within seconds of each other on my personal cell, did not pick up.  As a managed care nurse, I identified the number as Mount Sinai, but since I do not know anyone there, chose not to answer.  No message left.

I didn't answer the call because I don't know anybody from NYC.

From what I'm reading, this could be a person or other company spoofing Mt Sinai's phone number, as no one has really talked to anyone from Mt. Sinai, with a legitimate inquiry. If it were really coming from the hospital, I would think their name would be on the caller id. They wouldn't have a private or unlisted number.

Phone call came in on May 1, 2012 on my cell phone.  No message.  Looked up the number and found this post.  Strange.

I received a call from this number and they left a message about someone's medical status. I have no idea why they would call my cell phone as I live no where near NY!!

Got a call at 10 am today.  no answer.  when i called back from land line, said all circuits were busy.

yes I got a call from this number as well, the calls come in at the am hours, as well as the pm hours.  They never leave a message, and one time I answered, and nobody says nothing.  This is coming from Mt Sinai.  Why does it happen?

This is The Mount Sinai Hospital's main number. It's just a "wrong number." Could be anyone at the hospital calling out...employee, patient, visitor...so I would treat as a literal wrong number and forget.
