*******SCAM******
Robo Call - This is Lisa from credit card services. EASY TO DUMP - Hit 9 and talk to a representative. Get their name and number, then introduce yourself as Officer Jones, FRAUD DIVISION. They drop you from the calling list like the plague.

came up sam on my caller ID, as if it was a New York State agency calling. Five years--yes, five years--they have been calling me. Always from a different number. They refuse to stop.

Just received a call from these jerks wad scammers. I know the routine. Apparently I gor some newbie on the phone who didn't hang up right away when I asked what company they are with. So the POS gives me the usual "Card member services" and claim they are directly connect with my credit card company. So I ask for their phone number and the guy gives me and 800 number to a phone sex line. 800 739 8255. When I ask what state they are in they respond with New York. When I asked for an address the guy starts speaking to someone else in the background in another language and then hangs up. normally these pricks hang up whenever you make them deviate from their script.
So here is the deal.
This is going out to ALL TELECOMMUNICATION WORKES.
I am sick and tired of these calls and I am to point where I am now offering a $10,000.00 (USD) reward for information leading to the arrest of whoever is behind this scam. How do you get paid? Well, simply post back to this thread and I will post further instructions where you can upload artifacts securely. Furthers instructions will follow after information in received. once the information is deemed useful I will use your ip address as a verification method for you to provide me with so I know its you.
Likes I said - this goes out to ALL TELECOMMUNICATION WORKERS.

Same as above. Caller ID showed it as New York State, but it was another credit card sales call

212 312 9936 constantly calling with loan jibberish
ignorethemtheyarescammers 2011-12-29 23:54:48 Unknown
Just ignore these robo calls they are scammers. I don't even have a credit card and they call me.
No Way 2011-12-29 22:33:51 Unknown
Ah, the blessing of caller ID. I do not answer "Blocked" numbers, I do not answer numbers I do not recognize with a name that I recognize. Anyone who wants to talk to me will simply have to identify themselves or we just do not talk. :)

Almost daily I receive calls from 407-358-9999 and 212-312-9936. I don't answer them. The Florida number is about "lowering" my credit card interest. No thank you! The 212-312-9996 number is just a hang up. I do not answer the phone unless I know who is calling and unless they identify themselves. I am on the "Do not Call" registry, but like so many things, it simply doesn't work. There are lots and lots of rules that just don't work because there is no way to enforce them or anyone who will enforce them.

I just received same call, but no one pick up because in the bathroom. In anycase check the number, type the number on google and here I am.
Next time, try using put person on HOLD button or MUTE button with continue phone. I am sure they get message. Or always answering machine, which they never leave message.

I received a call to lower my interest rate at 10:07 am today and pressed 9 and told the person who answered to stop calling me and he said sarcastically "that was not going to happen." I told him I was going to report him but do not know how to do that.

Got a call from 212-312-9936 in VA on 12-26-2011. Despite being reminded that we are on Do not call registry, this bugger insisted on his BS...filed a complaint and blocked this number from my phone feature. I know do not call may not be an efficient way but if I continue to build my own BLOCK NUMBER list, these B'tards will get the message..........
Michelle 2011-12-26 16:33:32 Unknown
Got of these calls today for the umpteenth time, so I pressed one to speak to a representative. I asked which account was in reference and he gave me some BS. I told him to remove me from his list and he said that he got my number through the credit card company. I asked to speak to his supervisor and first he said that there wasn't one, then he said that the supervisor wouldn't speak to me. I asked him what company he worked for and his name and that's when he got belligerent with me and kept yelling over and over that he worked for Shut Up Company. I told him that I would report him to the BBB and he hung up on me. LOL.

Hung up after I said 'hello' twice.

I don't care why they are calling, they are concurrently violating my privacy, bothering me AND trying to SCAM me. I notice, and you should too, that these "poor people" dont have any problems using deroggatory words to the people they call. I am sick of these foreign call centers and I am not going to be gentle about it. If you want to be gentle about it you go right ahead and see how well it works out for you when they sell your name to other organizations just like them. I am sick and tired of dancing around the reality of these call centers from India and other places where American jobs have been shipped. Far as I can see, these parasites have no mercy on Americans, that is exactly what they are: parasites. Just re-read how often they keep bothering everybody. These freaks are SCAMMERS. What part of this do you not understand? They scam the old and the unaware. That makes them SCUM. If they hung out around my home the way they hover over my phone, I would have every right to file stalking charges against them. I see NO reason on this earth to treat them with respect. They are bothering ME, I am not bothering them. So you go ahead with your nonsensical political correctness and how about you take all our calls for us? And if you feel so sorry for them, sign on and have your ID stolen. Enjoy!
Sue 2011-12-23 22:46:21 Unknown
It doesn't matter what the nationality of the scammer's unfortunate employee is. If the call center is off shore, it is virtually guaranteed that the person you spoke to was NOT the owner -- just some poor person desperate to earn a few cents. There was no need to use a derogatory word.
Joe 2011-12-23 19:27:22 Telemarketer
DNC people are completely useless. You can report this to them day and night and they do NOTHING but put it 'in their data base". Then they all go on a nice long lunch. Another waste of taxpayer money on useless employees.
I was ready for them when they called this time. I did indeed stay on the line and when some swammie came on the line, I blew a whistle in his freaking ear and hung up. I have no problem breaking these scammers' eardrums anytime they force themselves on me. If they are going to continue bothering me, I am going to make it as painful as possible for them.

I received a call from New York at 212-312-9936 today. I've also received calls from 971-217-9513, which I see from other blogs belongs to PacificTel (not a traditional telephone company). 971 is an OR area code. I live in PA, so this is a nation-wide scam. I've seen that some people have attempted to get the Feds involved and others have tried to work through state agencies (especially in Florida), but it seems as if this problem is not high-enough priority for anyone to really deal with. At first I was on the warpath -- I hate injustice -- but having spent hours this evening reading blogs about revenge fantasies and actual revenge (air horns, seriously wasting the scammers' time), I think I will just not answer these calls. I have caller ID, and when these "foreign" area codes appear, I let them go to message. If it's a legitimate call, the caller will leave a real message. All these people do is leave their blather about lower interest rates. There are too many other things to get upset about.

Keep getting calls from this number. The person laughs and hangs up. I am so sick of this idiot calling.
