Received many calls from this number.  Someone should track them down.

Very well put and to the point. Put it in the politicians ball park... they have nothing better to do. No sense working on balancing the budget... we can let the government default anyway and there is no penalty for not having a budget on time. How about we penalize all politicians 2 days pay for every day the budget is late. I bet we would have an on time budget every year. Just a thought....

Its about time the federal government stepped in to do something about these types of calls. I got a call at 10:47 PM last night... no one calls me at that time unless its an emergency. These calls can be traced and it is illegal. Which one of our elected officials is going to have some B#$@* and take these people to court?
I suggest we start a petition and send it to every politician in your district... maybe it would get better attention. Next we could get the media involved after serving the politicians and ask them to look into what is being done about this.... its clear to me we can make a difference if we band together majority rules and votes count... let your voice be heard!

Just got a call from 'Universal survey' at 10:30PM! 212_324_9704. No one calls us this late unless it's bad news. My mother is 94 and 3000 mikes away. My wife works for the Red Cross, so a call like this wakes her up in fear something bad has happened. Makes me want to answer, then blow a whistle into the phone when the human comes on.

They called 2 times in a row tonight at 10:10 PM!!!! I ignored the first call and answered the second call because I was going to yell at them for calling so late, but they hung up! It is now 10:21 pm and they just called. The only person who calls us at that time are my mom and mother in law and they know they need a good reason. I answered and then hung up on them. I'm really annoyed.

I've receive calls from this number daily.  I never answer, but this time I decided to.  It was 10 PM.  The male voice on the other end said "good evening", I replied with same, then he said "I sincerly appologize for calling you this late" and hung up.  WTH?

Most phone services have a feature called 'Selective Call Blocking'. It works ....until they obtain additional numbers to call from.

This devil outfit uses several robo-calling phony numbers and tie-lines to call about alleged surveys, political opinions and other scams and frauds.  The most galling thing is are they are now calling cell phones!  Unfortunately, as this is a major election year for Congress, local dog catchers, sheriffs, etc., we can expect an increasing number of these types of calls to annoy us.  It is also an opportunity to vote out of office all of the firebreathers, tea partyers and other wackos who shut down the Government last year for 16 days, who still oppose Obamacare (despite the fact that millions of their constituents have been able to sign up for affordable health care), and who embarrass the U.S. with their dumb behavior.  

More calls grouped into the totality of nuisance, fraud, scam calls, etc..  It is assumed that all improperly or incompletely identified numbers are from the increasing number of scams, frauds, tie-lines, etc. This is why everyone must contact their elected reps in DC to demand that they significantly strengthen the DNC laws, providing extremely severe dollar and prison sentences for violators, and give more strength to the FTC.  This is an opportunity for Congress to actually do something useful for the country, not just pass gas and throw spitballs at each other.  Any business must be properly identified with their legal name on Caller Id, not hide behind Not Available, Private, Unavailable, etc.  It is time to ban any kind of solicitation call, whether telemarketer, charitable, political, survey, opinion poll or whatever, plus outlaw any use of tie lines, robo-callers, VoIP,  or use of numbers not issued by a legitimate, FCC licensed common carrier (telephone company).  You can be assured that funds donated or authorized over the phone will mostly go into the pockets of the organizers, not to the charity or political campaign, or intended purpose, along with a $10 donation showing up as $100s in charges.  Never give a credit card number or any personal data to anyone over the phone. There must be a new scam and fraud being generated every second out there.  We need call control, not gun control!

Just called my cell and left no message.  Annoying!

I recieved a call from this company ON MY CELL PHONE. No message was left. I missed the call.

I received 6 calls just today for these losers. Its past a joke. I wonder if the FCC. will do anything? Sick of it.

Is 9:30 at night and these idiots call me?? My poor husband is in bed, exhausted from working his butt off and these dregs of society, telemarketers, are calling at this time of night? They all should be beaten with axe handles, then shot. Scum of the earth.
We just got U Verse and I think AT&T sold our number because the sheer volume of these types of call have skyrocketed.

I have received calls from 212  and from 646. I have tried to call these people back and there is no answer. I believe it is a scam.

They left a message but they didn't talk, I could hear someone breathing and computer keyboard.

Two weeks now and they just keep calling and calling. I'm so sick and tired of this nonsense. Get this, this number had the gall to call me at 9:00 PM Saturday night and they just called me at 7:45 PM Sunday night! I answered five calls from this number last week and all I got was a crackly dial tone when I answered. This must stop!

I got 7 in the past week, and when I tried to call them back, the phone company says that number is unreachable.

My ATT Wireless provider cannot block calls, but they referred me to free smartphone apps that can do it.  I downloaded one for Android called "Call Blocker" that suppresses the ring if the number is on your blacklist.

Received call from this number.  Didn't answer the call.  They didn't leave a message

Receiving calls everyday, last night they crossed the line, call came in @ 9:52 PM. I just blocked theum, but there is another way to handle, I just remembered.  *57 right after they call, that puts a tracer on the call.

How it works
Our security feature, Call Trace, protects you against harassment from another caller, by tracing their number. This information will be available only to law enforcement officials with either a valid subpoena or another valid legal authorization.
To use Call Trace:
Follow the steps below to perform a Call Trace for XFINITY Voice.

If the customer receives a harassing call: Hang up, wait 10 seconds, and then dial *57.
If the call was life threatening, or there is some other emergency, contact law enforcement immediately by dialing 911.
If the call did not rise to the level of an emergency, contact local law enforcement on the local non-emergency telephone number to file a report or chat with us for further assistance.
Then call the Comcast Legal Demand Center at 1-866-947-8572, opt 2, 1, 1.
The Comcast Legal Demand Center will require the following information from the customer:
Police Department case/report number
Officer?s name
Customer?s Name
Caller?s Name
Telephone number that is being called and number calling
The Comcast Legal Demand Center will complete a Call Trace report and fax the report to the local police department to add to the case/report file.
Notes:
Unlike most other features, a Call Trace is automatically provisioned on all telephone lines, including lines without other features.
Unfortunately, not all traces are successful. The customer will be informed of whether the trace was successful or not at the time they activate the feature.
To maximize the chances of success, the trace should be made as soon as possible after the offensive call was received.
If the customer wishes to get the number of the last person who called them, they should use Call Return instead.  
Note: Don?t wait to use Call Trace ? it only works on the last incoming call.

They call me early mornings and early evenings. There's always a dial tone when I answer with lots of static? My caller ID reads out: Universal Survey. An alternate phone number that they use is: 646-467-6665. I'd certainly like to speak to someone of these two numbers and reprimand them.

I have received several calls from this number and others all claiming they are wanting my household opinion. I mention I am not interested and to please remove my number from their lists. I have had 6 calls in 3 days.... Any help? Please!

Been gettingthese calls constantly as well. Finally had enough looked them up online found a link on their site to have my number removed they said it takes 1 bussiness day entered my number will wait to see what happens here is the link for anyone else who wants to try

If you want to block calls like this from "survey" companies who are NOT prohibited from calling by the "do not call" legislation, I suggest buying a Digitone Call Blocker (about $100 from Amazon).  I bought one and now I only receive calls from these organizations ONCE...because after they call the first time, I block that number with my call blocker.  Now, my phone never rings when these clowns call, and the phone hangs up on them after they hear one ring (but you don't hear this ring).

Well worth the money.  I HIGHLY recommend this device!

Called my cell phone number that I do not give out.  I didn't answer it because I don't know any one in 212 area code.  I'm glad I looked here and discovered that these are the same ding dongs that used the number 646-467-6665 that I was stupid enough to answer because I was waiting for someone else's call.  I told them their survey was costing me minutes and I was not going to answer their questions.
