I got a call from them.  They said my resume was perfect for the job and they needed me to start right away.   However, they requested the last 4 of my SSN, I would not provide it.  They then put two different levels of "management" on the phone to explain why it was needed.  They were not valid reasons. THerefore, I did not provide it.  Finally, they said they could do without it.   HMMMM.. Why would they change their minds?  They said they would call me tomorrow with more information.  Of course, I never got a call.   I would never work for them

i received a few calls and emails from a guy named rohit who claimed to be representing a client (Dell) of pyramid consulting, inc. and offered me a job with the details but when i turned it down believing that it doesn't fit great with my resume as they were looking something of management discipline and i am for technical. he called the next day and sent me email that the position was technical contrary to what the description/summary was written and asked for personal information including SSN. from there on i suspect that it was something shady and tried to google it and I FOUND THIS. thanks guys for putting this page up... the one i correspond was indeed suspicious as i can't contact him by doing return calls (call back). one of the numbers that he used brought me to a lady and hang me up when i asked details about the number i am calling.

i don't know for sure if the one i am getting is indeed legit or not but one for sure to is the correspondence is a bit shady to me.

if ever he will call back, i won't be rude or anything like that though but i will surely make sure the correspondence will stop.

PS. the caller is not using the number specified in this thread but a varying one and on all of those number no one seems to lead me to the caller itself.

Beware this Indian Scam Scum Agency. I also received a call from the same number from an Indian moron who didn't know much about the job. He garbled his veeshna type name. He said he would email me with details about the job so I could send him my resume officially. It was for a third party company doing business with Cisco in San Jose for an SOA Architect, I have been working at Cisco. On their site there is no such job listed. I called back and talked to Miten on extension 558 who said he would help and get back to me. After 3 frustrating phone calls no call back no email. The operator said they have over 100 recruiters on line all the time. Put the word out.

Recruiters from pyramid consulting keep calling and emailing for "positions available" - you call them/email them, and then, it is like your resume/reponse has gone into a black hole - looks like they have recruitment sweat shops running out of india.

I've been consulting in the IT industry and yes, Pyramid scours all of the job boards sucking off every technology resume they can.  They send you job notices to get you to say yes, they can represent you for any job and then they call potential companies that you could work for farming your resume out to them saying they have "exclusive rights to represent this excellent candidate."

After years of this behavior, I called their corporate offices in New Jersey and you cannot get to an actual person.  If you return the call or answer the call from one of their so called human resource personnel, they will hang up on you if you request a manager.  This may have started as a regular company, but it is not a legitimate company now and should not be trusted.  I found that this one company is located within NJ and the owner has half a dozen other companies running out of the same location.  They use the company to bring in Indian labor for jobs that they use our resumes to entice a client into hiring, but then trade out our resume for the equivalent in someone who has copied that resume and skills.  As a hiring technology manager I have received from Pyramid my resume with another name on it and I have received my own resume for jobs posted to on job sites like Monster.

They are not trust worthy and while they may actually have clients, they are not to be trusted with your personal information especially not your SSN, Driver's License No or other identity theft information.  This is not a company you want to be dealing with.  Any legitimate company would have means of speaking with senior management and/or the owner, but they kept hanging up on me and when I received the owner by mistake, he hung up every time I called...DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!

Yes, some people are paranoid, but sometimes it is worth being so given that identity theft is the number one crime in the world.

I am working with this company for about 3 years as a W2 employee, working on the client location in Chicago. I am getting paid every two weeks, getting benefit, 401k. So far my experience has been very good with them. They do have a mix of both Indian and American staff but they do cater my problem everytime i call them. I was taking to my HR lady recently and she told me they have grown to over 1500+ employee and have 7 - 8 offices in US, a few in Europe and India. Sounds pretty good.

I have recieved several calls and e-mails this week as well. However when I attempt to call them back. I have been unable to connect with anyone not even a receptionist. I printed and went through the paperwork that they want me to complete and try several numbers but have been unsuccessful in reaching anyone. Lastly I called the number of the HR Associate and she simply answered hello. Somehow I don't believe that is the appropriate way to answer a business phone. I know that I need a job desparately but I think I'm going to stay away from this one.
They called me from 770-255-7550.

I am in the process of getting calls and emails with them. 4 calls today and 2 emails. When I said I was interested in the position and pay, he emailed me the rate so I can confirm it. I replied it was ok. He called to ask if I received his email, when I said I did and replied to it, he hung up.

I think they are poorly trained in American customs, ID theft fears and customer service. They called me on the 770-255-7550 number.

I worked for this company back in 2007.  It was a temporary/contract position, located in my home state (not in their headquarters state of Georgia).  To my knowledge (and experience of course) they are a temp agency.  I am a real person (a human) who received real compensation (a paycheck) for appx. 6 months from Pyramid Consulting, Inc. (www.pyramidci.com).  Yes, all of their rep's there seem to be of Eastern Indian decent.  My rep's name was Anika Malhorta and I don't remember her extension.  Anyway, I just wanted to offer my honest response.  I do not have any acknowledgements of this company's dealings as of present time (3/14/2010), but back in 2007 they were "official"...they even provided work verification for me when I leased my new car and rented an apartment at that time!

p.s. I did want to note that I was contacted by my rep via email, and again my job was very real w/ them.

No call; received email instead.  I have resumes in a lot of places; noticed that most of the fraud seems to be generated from CareerBuilder.com.  One big problem is that I live on the West Coast; most of these types of scams seem to be located everywhere but where I desire to continue living.

Got 2 missed calls today on my cell phone, and then a call on my land line. The land line caller id info said "new york call". All 3 calls were hangups and no message was left. I'm pretty sure this is a tech company calling, but it's pretty rude to not leave a message, and somewhat unprofessional as well. I might call back and hang up when someone answers just for fun - of course I'll block my number first :]

I called back, collaborating Skottieg's response (although I would argue his judgement: an honest company can allow Caller Name Display to show their name).  This number is Pyramid Consulting (http://pyramidci.com/) .  FWIW, the lady at the switch shares the same Indian accent, but she's quite friendly.  Hope this helps!

Oh geesh! Some people are so paranoid! This number is from a legitimate head hunting firm. How do I know? I receive them all the time, from various firms as my resume is out on the major job boards. Did you put a resume out on Monster or some other job board at some time and forget about it? These folks are attempting to hook you up with a better job. Keep an open mind and you never know how your life might change for the better.
