Got a call from the number but they didn't leave a message. Recently saw a show at Carnegie Hall.

I don't wanna get this number any more.

It's not suspicious, it is actually Carnegie Hall. If you've bought tickets for any event at any time you need to give them a phone number. Once they get that, they'll call you non-stop for donations/ticket packages.

Never confirm your name until you confirm who is calling. That's what answering machines are for.

Call from "Hall C" . Carnegie Hall. I wouldn't have answered this, but we have friends with the last name Hall, so my partner picked up; they promptly hung up. They apparently call from this number to sell you tix. I am on their mailing list, but only buy from the website. Strange that they would hang up.

We've been getting calls from them for a while now - ever since the last time we bought tickets online. The name never showed up on the Caller-ID, only the number. Today, they called, and the Caller ID name showed "Hall, C."
One time my wife answered, and the person calling identified himself as a conductor. She had a long conversation with him. He was a serious music professional, not someone in a boiler room in a low-wage country thousands of miles away. Apparently everyone has to do their share of telemarketing at Carnegie Hall.

This is a caller representing Carnegie Hall subscriptions, trying to sell tickets. Keeps calling, despite my expressed lack of interest.

I received a call from this number, but didn't receive any message. Probably a telemarketer.

That number is definitely Carnegie Hall. And yes, they tried to sell me concerts that are nine months to a year away. I recently attended a concert there.
I didn't take a such a dim view though. They're just trying to keep alive in the classical music business which is not in great shape these days.

I got a call and spoke to the woman for a while. She was offering seasoned tickets to the 2012 / 2013 Carnegie Hall season but refused to email me any info or give her phone # back. She was quite forceful and seemed to want me to commit to some concerts (some of which were >1yr away). I found this suspicious.
