I got a call on April 5th at 2:05pm from a fast-talking Joe Curcuru.  Said I didn't know him now but he would soon be my best friend, blah, blah, blah.  He wanted me to "invest" "just" $5000 in his stock gem, SodaStream.  I had to act now, of course.  I kept him on the line on speakerphone so I could let him go on with his schtick while I worked away on other things.  It got to the point where I could clearly hear a supervisor in the background literally telling Mr. Curcuru what to say, word-for-word, which Mr. Curcuru loyally did.  I suppose they thought they had a "whale" since I didn't hang up on them.  I kept him on the line for just over 30 minutes at which point Mr. Curcuru told me I was stupid and broke and he hung up on me.  Well, my 30 minutes of background entertainment kept him from calling 10-20-30 other people and harassing them.  These unsolicited calls can be reported to the FCC as a complaint at their website.  The form is very easy to complete and you'll get an e-mail reply that your complaint has been filed and is being investigated.

Hope you didn't give them your real name. they'll use that the next time they call to pretend you and they have an ongoing business relationship. make something up like "IMA SKAMMER" and then have them repeat it back. when they say "IMA SKAMMER" say yes indeed you are. ;-)

SPAM call.   People from this company call every month or so, even though I tell them to stop.  The purpose is to let me know they will be calling again to offer a great investment opportunity.  I tell them I am not interested and not to call again, and the person does not want to take no for an answer, and becomes very aggressive and hostile.  I always end up hanging up on the idiot while he is yelling.

Guess what, folks, they've found a new "in."  A young man wanted to introduce himself to a particular manager this morning.  I explained that if he were presenting his company to become an approved vendor, I'd send him to Purchasing.  He then claimed to be calling from the manager's alumni association.  I said in that case, and especially because it was personal, he should write.  He gave a phoney laugh and said he had the manager's email address.  By then I'd come here to look up the number showing on Caller ID and told him it was against company policy to contact employees that way, but he was in the process of hanging up.

Calls and hangs up.  

Bobby wont take no for answer, keeps calling back.  Another annoying telemarketer.

A guy calling like he knows the owner, denied access. He said he will call later. Sigh please don't.

I received a call from Eli today at Joseph Gunnar & Co LP. I know who he is as he use to harass me when he worked at Reid & Rudiger Capital Management Inc. It now appears that he must have moved to Joseph Gunnar & Co LP. When he was at Reid & Rudiger Capital Management Inc I told him to stop calling me and that I was not interested. He must have took his call list from there over to Joseph Gunnar & Co LP to harass people from there now. I strongly urge people to use the https://www.donotcall.gov/ website. I used this when Eli was at his prior employer and that stopped the calls. I have told him to stop calling me once again, and am still receiving his calls. I have now listed this number on https://www.donotcall.gov/ and will see if the calls stop shortly. If they do not, I will have to seek other actions.

Got a call from someone named Eli and was very vague about the nature of the call.  Asked for company head and said that it was a business matter between company head and him.  Caller then hung up.

They are a large broker scammer in NY. They specialize in broker to buyer scams. Constantly under investigation using un licensed brokers and losing millions for investors. Stephan Barry is a pro scammer they hired from the time share industry.

What a pushy unprofessional a**le who keeps calling me! I wouldn't buy anything from this guy legit or not. Reminds me of the movie Boiler Room.

Nobody cares what Joseph Gunnar is selling, offering, giving away, asking for or anything else. Just stop calling me day after day after day. I never, ever, ever, do financial business with anyone I haven't initiated the call with.

Who do you work for there?  Mike Wagner?  Matt Gates?  Believe me, you won't be there in two years.  Some last longer than others, but it's a no-win situation for you buddy.  Believe me.   Excuse me, I should not have said a "no-win" situation.  You have a chance.  But it is much tinier than they would lead you to believe.  Wait until you see how the payment/commission system really works.

If you want a pushy, shove it down your throat broker, this firm is the way to go.  I made the mistake of trying one of their "hot" tips and after 60 days I'm showing a 39% loss.  Some say they won't be right all the time--and I agree.  However, once they suck you in they call (persistently) weekly with a new "hot" tip.  I kept track of each "hot" tip and as of today out of 8 tips (if I had invested) none would be showing a gain.  You hear about the broker that is strictly in it for the commision--so true.

I myself am a cold caller and only call clients to send info, I dont try to sell securities, mainly because I dont have my 7 yet, its unfair to call us all unprofessional just because a few guys are rude, I am always polite to secretarys, even when they act like they are gods gift meanwhile most brokers calling make their yearly salary monthly. I get alot of people to follow up with my senior brokers mainly because I know what im talking about and i am stern while polite.

So I get the same spineless idiot calling me from the same company from a different number.  Yesterday he called from 631-761-6920 asked for the owner when I asked who was calling he said HE WAS Joseph Gunnar & when I asked what it was regarding he said a "personal matter" than asked for the owner's mobile number (yeah right - if it was such a personal matter you would already have his cell number!) when I told him I can take a message he just hung up.  I than called back & was told it was a Joseph Gunner Stockbroker Company; asked to be put on a do not call list.  So after this phone call I called back and asked to be put on a do not call list for this number 212-44-9600.  Let's see what number he will call back next week.

PLEASE... I hope your "gate keeper" puts these call through to you from now on! DO YOU like that fact that your "gate keeper" gets hung up on by these oh so profession cold callers? You must really like your job to go out of your way to defend it so hard and by then call all other "gate keepers" angry because they get hung up on while defending your lame time while you text your buddies about what joint to hit up for happy hour in between hanging up on people when they wont put you through. No one is saying negative things about "the firm" they are talking about its employees (like you  -is that why you take such offense?). The firm is probably great - except for the fact that you cold callers don't give anyone a chance to obtain info about "the firm" when you just hang up. I wouldnt call that aggressive, I would call that rude. How do you know the person you are hanging up on isnt the wife or daughter or son or husband of the person you are calling for and they actually have money to invest  but you had to hang up! your loss!

These idiots call and try to act like they know the person they are asking for my shortening that persons name - example:  Timothy Jones has never used anything other than TIMOTHY as his first name -friends, family - everyone calls him TIMOTHY yet these jokers call and say "hey this is mark is tim around" like they are old buds. HA! Or RIchard who goes by RICHARD to friends and family and goes by Dick to anyone else and these idiots Call and again act like they know "Hey Rich please - this is Mark" HA! when you tell them you don't have a "RICH" they hang up! BECAUSE they are idiots!

If they were NOT rude they WOULD LEAVE their info to follow up on  -however these RUDE callers just hang up on you mid - sentence! As soon as you say "No they aren't - may I take a message" by the time you get to "aren't" you have been RUDELY hung up on.
