Caller ID says 212-452-2211, and New York

It is an automated phone call, a sales pitch for carpet cleaning, and ended saying Press 1 to make an appointment, person hangs up when I ask questions.

Got a call from them today.  No one said anything . just Dead silence so I hung up

I live in Southern California and received the same call.... would love to see how many times they would need to gas up to steam clean my WOOD FLOORS.

I filed a complaint with Do Not Call. Next time they call I am going to schedule an appointment and give them the address to the police.

who does this number trace to? I need to know. I was a victim of rape and assault in NYC and I need to know who this is calling me. I called back 2 seconds after they called because they did not leave a message. I need to know.

Just got a call too.  Next time I'll tell her to clean the carpet on my hairy chest. That should discourage them from calling

The next time I get this call, I am going to schedule an appointment for my carpets.  If they show up, I'll tell them to go to hell!  :)  That should tick them off....

Zapped the bozo this time !  It called once before and I had since put its # into my Call Blocker and today it tried to call here again.  My phone doesnt ring when a blocked call comes in... the bozo telemarketer however hears one ring, then silence for a moment then gets automatically hung up on.

Too bad.

CALLS AND LEAVES NO MESSAGE I DID NOT ANSWER AS THE NUMBER IS UNKOWN TO ME

Well if you think that's odd I live in Indiana. They just called here. If they don't identify themselves and/or I don't recognize the number I don't pick up.

I am also constantly called by these idiots. Today I actually tracked them down to this site. If they call back I am going to schedule an appointment and when they come I will tell them to remove me from the list. The only way they will stop is if it costs them money.

I recieved an automated phone call at 6:34 pm on May 16th, 2012. The automated call was a sales pitch for carpet cleaning, and ended with a request to press 1 to schedule an appointment. I did so, and when a live rep picked up (she sounded African-American), I asked for the name of the company. (When she answered, the initial part of her answer was unclear, perhaps deliberately so. It sounded like: "Blah, blah, blah, may I help you?") That was when I asked for their name. Her response was "Carpet Care." My next question was "And where are you located?" She immediately hung up without another word. When I called back this number, an automated voice told me that it was not in service. We are on the DNC list, and do not appreciate it. Thank you for your consideration of this matter.

What could the purpose be to call, harrass, annoy, disrupt and waste people's time? Why are they investing this much energy into this? No one would EVER follow through with this scam. Would they? This is all a waste of their time and mine. The Do Not Call thing even tops this as a joke. The whole thing is out of control.

I live near PA too, people you give your phone # to will sell it. Certain websites will. You should register on the Do not call list or file a complaint.

They keep calling me. They are a CARET cleaning company, YES it is a recording. But if you listen to the recording, they will then connect you with someone live. If you try to call the number back you will get the not in service bull routine. I think the robotic s**t said her name is Diane.

A recording came on with a woman identifying herself as Diane who was selling carpet cleaning services.  I pressed "1" to set up carpet cleaning.  The woman who answered had a foreign accent and said, "Carpet Care."  I asked what city they were in and she said, "Costa Mesa." (This is a city near me in California but caller ID said they were in New York.  I asked to be removed from the call list and she hung up on me.

3 calls today from this number. No answer, no message.

I let it go to answer; no message left. Caller ID was NEW YORK and the number. I am in California.

I DON'T WANT THIS CALL

Just noticed two calls on caller ID (this afternoon) from 212-452-2211, I tried calling back, to ask for my number to be removed from their data base, but the number comes up (very conveniently) as:
"the number you called is not in service" (!!). I'm on the DNC registery, therefore, I (immediatly) reported it to the FCC.

Carpet Company message... Whatever! Funny, I don't have carpet!

These people by the name of Diane at Carpet Care really do need to quit calling me, its so bad that I have to leave my phone off of the HOCK everyday so I don't keep getting these calls from (212)452-2211....Somebody please do something about these MORONS calling all of the time...I don't care what their selling!!! I'm not interested!!!!!
