Caller asked to speak to person responsible for Con Ed bill. The calling company is (allegedly) one of the ESCO's that can be chosen for energy supply.

I received a call from 212 461-4024. The person said that he was Tim O'Brian. He was reluctant to say where he was calling from. I must have asked him 5 times where he was calling from before he told me MVET. I don't know what that is. He was probably lying. He wanted to know how to reach me, if I lived there, etc. I didn't give him any information. I told him not to call my number anymore and he was  persistent to get info. out of me.

answered a call from this number, they said it was such and such energy company.  they asked to speak to the name on our verizon listing, which is incorrect due to a typo, so that is apparently where they got the number.

I called the number back and it was a mortgage offer.  We are a business!

I keep getting phone calls from this number. I never pick up as I do not know who it might be, and the caller never leaves a message.
It has been going long enough and I would like them to stop calling.

Caller wanted to sell me internet service without having to pay the sales tax. These are the same guys that were trying to sell me cable using 701 and 702 area codes.

yes, please do something. this is really unbearable. and it has been going on a while now. I have signed up for do not call directory, but it did not help. they are still calling.

I get this call a couple of times a week but i never pick up and they hang up when the answering machine switches on. If I get this call again, i'm going to threaten them. Or maybe not =)but it's really un-nerving

I hung up on them when they started to call me by my first name, I said my name is Mrs...and I didn't tell you that you can call me by my first name. I am reporting this to Con ed

I've gotten a number of calls from this number--they just hang up and don't say anything.  really annoying...

I have received calls from this number at least 100 times.  They never leave a message, and even when I answer the call - they hang up.  I am on the "do not call" list, but I can't get them to stop.  VERY ANNOYING

She tried to bum-rush me to accept their accent energy offer of 'take 5' - take 5% off your energy bill - con ed continues to deliver, no change, cancel anytime, blah blah blah.  Her own personal accent made it hard to get the proper info to do research but I eventually got it out of her. Search for 'con ed take 5' found ZERO hits. However, search for 'Accent Energy rip off' and you'll see someone else's experience with this company. Atrocious.

We have asked these people to stop calling us at least 12 times. please advise, they are obviously not legit because they won't give you information to find out why "Con-ed is trying to gather information."
