It is the NY Phil, but just you have to realize that they have many offices there (tickets, subscriptions, telemarketing, membership, donations, etc). So just because you asked to be taken off one office's list doesn't mean you're off of them all. The offices are independent of one another, so you have to tell each of them you want to be taken off the list. If you just ignore the call, they will keep calling. If you hang up on them, they will keep calling. That's just the way it works. And they are a call center, so calling back will do nothing. I used to work there. The phones are not set up to take incoming calls, so people who think that calling them back at the number and letting it ring forever will annoy them, are sadly mistaken. To be taken off the list you have to answer, tell them you want off the list, and tell them WHY. Otherwise you WILL BE CALLED BACK. That's just the way it works.

same experieince-they called, I tried calling back , rings forever then they pick up and hang up. If it is the NY Phil, I asked to be taken off their list.

They call, never leave a message... and if you call them back, it either rings forever or is busy.
