Definitely a scam. I went through the whole process. Calls from a "Blocked" number, says the company is Noromatic and at the end they say they can pay half of the plane ticket for an interview in San Diego. What's an address and for you to send money so he can purchase the ticket.

i called this number and was told he'd call me back. he did and asked what i do. i told him i'm a truck drive but that i have worked security and as a body guard in the past. he told me he'd have to get me to Miami, FL but due to too many people bailing on the job i'd have to pay half of the plain ticket and wanted me to send money to him via western union. i told him i would save him his half and drive, that i could be there by the morning. he called me and i quote "your a f****ng a***ole" then he hung up on me and blocked me from calling back. this is totally a scam. considering that 212 is a NYC area code i called the NY DA's office and filed a complaint.

100% of EVERY online job, or job offer by fax, text, or email, is fake. Everyone of them. Job interviews are done in person. Not by text, or web chat. If you cannot find the company on the internet, or the name of the person who called does not work at that company - scam. ANY mention of an advance fee, for any reason, for the job - scam. They say they've been in business 20 years, but the web site is less than 1 year old, and only registered for 1 year - scam. If they ask for lots of personal information, just tell them you'll bring it to the interview. NEVER assume any job offer is real until you check everything on the internet - and I mean everything. Name, address, phone number, check google maps, 'whois' on the web page - everything.

I am a retired police chief and applied for this position. I called from three different numbers which I will explain later. My first experience with this man, was that he called me, asked where I was calling from. I live in the Little Rock area and told him Sheridan, he quickly replied that was to far and hung up. I called again from a second number this time I told him that I had 26 years experience as a Police executive. he hung up. So I tried one more time using an area code showing Little Rock. I made it past the first interview and was told I would get a call today at 0900. He called and asked who I worked for, when I told him he questioned that the company that I work for does security and said that he would get back to me. First and foremost, the way that this person is doing business is very questionable; never gives his name, does not have a personality, and does not conduct himself as a professional would.

One of my duties where I work is to hire people for security. I always tell them who I am and treat them with respect. This guy, who checking on the web, I believe his name is Steve Holland, can not represent anything that is professional. The money is tempting and think that is why there is no shortage of people calling him. Coming from my background I always try to dig a little deeper to find out what is going on. If you have additional information, please post it so others can see what this is truly about.

This number appeared in a craigslist ad for jobs.  Called the number left my name and phone number and the supposed HR person called me back in 5 min.  The Rep asked what I did and what I was doing now, I informed I was prior military and was attending college he then abruptly said we don't hire students and hung up.  2 Questions and a hang up sounds like a scam to me but what damage can they really do with your name and phone number that is listed in the phone book.  Here is what the Craigslist add says.

Security Manager for large resorts corporation. Full time. Must have extensive security or military background with strong leadership. Excellent salary and benefits. Call 212-501-2269

I had applied for a security manager position with this unknown company. I received a phone call from a man that claimed to be from the HR department. He asked for my recent employment and once I told him, he told me that he didn't believe me and hung up. I can prove my background but this guy didn't even give me a chance to prove my qualifications. Not sure what is going on with this "company" but it doesn't seem legit.

Do not take this call. It is for a security position from made up company. They want your information and will use it illegally. They are rude and hide behind a blocked number. Be very careful!!
