It's a spoofed caller ID number. DO NOT give any personal information to them. This is a scam caller ID number.

Got a call from this number. Did not answer it. The caller did not leave a message.

This is a little reverse situation.  They didn't call me. Twice when I called the Social Security Admin and chose to leave my number for them to call me back, the automated voice said they had this as my number!! My home number, which I was calling from, is an 845 area code, so the calls must be rerouted. I have my phone through my local cable company. Maybe I should mention this to them.

This means your phone calls will ID as Voice over IP and the number will appear as the number your cable provider uses to route the IP phone call to the land-line system.
Just so you know, this means if you needed help and called 911, they wouldn't be able to pin point your phone call easily and you would have to give them your address. If you were unable to give them the info, they may not be able to trace your call correctly to get help to you.
This is the downside of the cheaper cable phone services. Make sure your cable company has the correct records for your location, in case they need to provide it to emergency services.

This is a Skype number.  It comes up when people call from a Skype computer phone.  Not sure there's a way to trace it.

Regarding Lisa's complaint of a fraud attempt, contact Skype.com with your number and the time they called and they can probably trace it back to the culprit.

This is not legitimate.  They called us on a PRIVATE toll free number and we got charged for 15 minutes even though we were home and never had a phone call.  And I would not talk to some scam telemarketer for 15 minutes anyhow!!!

I got a call at my job needing assistance on repairing an A/C unit. She didn't sound technical though.

This is a skype number which flashes when some one calls from PC to Phone using Skype services. We cannot says its fraud, because it could be a friend calling from an overseas location, using skype to save some money. However, a lot of small telemarketing  companies use skype to save on money !!!!

This number shows up on our caller id service here at the bank I work for. It's always the same gentleman asking all sorts of bank related questions. Never identifies himself and always says he's just a customer giving his name is irrelevant. We can't figure out what the purpose of his calls are yet.

I received a call from a legitimate wholesaler.  They were verifying my wholesale order.  I'm glad they did.  NOT A SCAM.

We just got a bomb threat from this number

Just got a call from this number. The guy sounded like he was from India. He claimed to be with Google Maps trying to verify our information like address, legal business name, cross street. The odd thing is that he asked if I was there at the address right now as in "at this moment".

i wont pick the phone to answer and dont know who is it and i wont call them back .

Just got a call from our mortgage company and this number was listed as a contact number for us.

Got this number on a teleconferecing invoice, no one here even chaired the call, no idea how we can be billed for this.  Disputing with teleconferencing company.

I purchased merchandise wholesale and they called me to ask and verify why my Paypal account and mailing address were different.  I'm glad they did. They appear to be legitimate as a business.  They sent me two emails asking the same question, now they are calling me on a Sunday morning to verify the same info.  I will find out if the merchandise is real after I receive it.

It's a VOIP trunkline, anyone can be using it.

This is a Skype number.  Someone at Skype.com can probably trace it for you if it involves fraud.
