Someone called me from this number.  Did not answer.
No message.

Yes it rings at times every 30 seconds and usually only rings 1 X and hang up repeat it is aggravating!!!

I want to know who's calling on my mobile number.

This number called me almost every day. When I answered no one responded. I called the number back and it rang twice then busy signal.

Received a call from this number several times, but since I have Caller ID, I choose not to answer it. Like the others, I recognize 555-1212 as the standard for information. I don't understand why information from NY would be calling me. The calls are going to my cell phone and my carrier is AT&T. So tired of corrupt people trying to take advantage of people! Especially the older generations. ?

Received repeated calls from this number. When I called the number it was Verizon look up a number...Who said what city and state please.  Later I recieved another call from this number...I   answered and a woman with broken english was trying to sell me home security. I told her I already had security. she hung up. Today I recieved another strange # 404-891558..I looked it up and it is called a spoof number. Somehow they can trick my cell phone to think that is where the number is from. I heard this is a scam and to report it.

I keep getting calls from this number every other day

I'm getting calls from that #, as well!!! I have trap call and all it says is "NYManhattEn Ar" - the spelling is wrong. All I hear is someone breathing and/or moving around. Very creepy!!

9-4-2013 just got a call 212-555-1212 it to was a Latino woman I asked who this was she told me it was info ,I have no idea but definetly something wierd going on

yes it was a long distance phone directory with AT&T

5 times now in the past 3 weeks I got a call from this number. Today I answered it the two times I got called today and as soon as I answered it the call was disconnected no sounds nothing just straight disconnected. I called it back and got AT&T directory assistance and they didn't have any info on the number.

Caller ID reads, Dir Asst NY.  The number is 212 555 9999.   Scammers.

rings about twice, then disconnects. never leaves message. i called the # back and was asked "what city and state, please..." (directory assistance) so i'm confused...is someone trying to call me via directory assistance?

This number keeps calling my number. When I answer it sounds like a fax? I called it back and it said it was Comcast Directory Assist. I am now on the phone with Comcast. And they are clueless!!

got a call from this number this morning and as soon as I picked up they hung up... didnt 555 1212 use to be an information number back in the day on land line phones for long distance?   I live in az
